My family and I made the trip to Cedar Key Wed. 9-21-16. One of our main objectives was to go to Tony's for some of the famous clam chowder. Well! The chowder was good but, I guess I'll have to agree with some of the other reviewers. $4.99 for a 6 oz. cup of chowder is a little steep. The... More

Although it was just after 8 when we went into Cedar Key town for dinner, most places were closed but the waitress at Tony's, a local seafood institution were so kind, offering their famous clam chowder and a salad, both of which were lovely. This might not seem particularly generous but when you consider that this restaurant was under several... More

After reviewing the extensive menu, I decided to cool off with an Arnold Palmer and then dig into a huge bowl of the best Clam Chowder I've ever had. Even those of you from Boston will finally admit you've met your match. Worth the drive

We stopped here during the Cedar Key Pirate invasion festival and left very satisfied. It's inside a quaint old building, with 2 dining rooms and a little take out window. I had the seafood po' boy sandwich, which had fried oysters, shrimp, clams and fish on a big hoagie roll with lettuce, tomato, onion and a tasty sauce. I had... More

A great place for some sea food and chowder. Come hungry and you will not be disappointed. Not the least expensive place but still a good value and good food.

We stopped by one afternoon to try their famous clam chowder. It was delicious but really seemed very commercial. I know they sell it canned to the public...the bowls we had tasted canned too and not fresh.

We apologize that you didn't find the chowder outstanding. You are in a very tiny minority of diners as witnessed by over a thousand trip advisor reviews. More
