Mr Hasan and his team are amazing. The food is so fresh and delicious. We are very thankful to our Lebanese friends whom brought us here. Any chance we get we love to come here to eat amazing food & amazing service.
We stopped in here as our favorite Peruvian place closed down and we didn’t know where else to go for a decent meal that wasn’t a food chain and still be in town.
We were the only ones in that day, service was very polite...and attentive. It was great chatting with the owner, about days in another lifetime touring Eastern Europe as soccer champs.
Fire roasted eggplant caught my eye as I roast mine over a wood fire, too, for intense flavors. I was not disappointed. The vegetarian plate was very filling and could easily be a big appetizer to share.
The beef kefta were juicy and deliciously seasoned.
The food is delicious and much more reasonably priced than Bosphorus in Winter Park. Only drawback, for some, there’s no beer or wine or liquor.
I have never had a bad experience, food or service from this restaurant. My son was 4 when we first tried this place, 6 now. He loves the food, especially the lamb. I have grabbed take out for lunch, held meetings here, brought friends visiting...from out of town and state here, and even locals that had no idea of its existence, and yet to have heard a single complaint. I am surprised to see a bad review! I am almost certain there had to be a miscommunication of some sort. Recently, I had lunch here with a old friend and he and the owner spoke about Lamb Shank and the old country, he even thought the food was incredible and he is a bit of a critic. If you like Mediterranean food made to order...This place is a must try!More
I had been to one of my office buildings and a landscape contractor and my boss and we wanted lunch close by. Bldg. on 436 in Casselberry and looked up restaurants nearby and saw Aladdin's Cafe. None of us had ever been there and we...decided to try it. It is one of those quiet little restaurants in a string of stores that one might just overlook unless someone has told you about it. Well, just let me say it was some of the best food I can remember having. We ordered hummus (homemade), pita bread (homemade) Baba ganoush (homemade), tabbouleh (homemade) and falefal, and lamb shish k bob served on yummy rice and slightly grilled onions. The lamb was beyond good. I have had limited Lebanese food but you can get I am going back and back because it was so fresh, clean and good. Oh forgot to mention the Lentil soup. Not the usual lentil soup, so much better and yummy. We asked what the owner recommended for dessert so he said "he would bring" and indeed he did and it was the best ending to an extraordinary lunch. I could not understand the name he called it but it had something sweet on the bottom then something white, perhaps like a whipped cream then nuts on top. Oh my goodness. Please don't think you won't like Lebanese food because you will. If I did not already have plans for this evening I would call friends and insist we meet there. So you have to put this restaurant on your list of places to try. You will be thanking me I am sure. The owner, Hassan (sorry if I am spelling incorrectly) was so friendly and helpful and has had quite an interesting life.Over the top.More
The food is fresh and fabulous. Ask the owner to recommend..he's incredible..I've never had the buffet. Their unsweet tea is the best I've had in central Florida. Their salads are so good that when I don't have them I crave them..Their salad dressing absolutely phenomenal....Again talk to owner for recommendations..you can't go wrong here. Their Food is so Fresh and healthy for you. You will never find a traditional shwarma in central Florida but here it's perfect. It's just as good as Dearborn, MI. I know there are people out there that will understand what that means..trust me this is the only place that makes it right. I'm very thankful for the wonderful care they take in quality of their great food. This place is a Gem! Enjoy!More
I have been enjoying great Lebanese meals at Aladdin's Cafe for about 15 years. The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff is very friendly. This is a family business, rather than a chain, which is evident from the moment I arrive and...am and greeted warmly, usually by the owner. I love the generously portioned vegetarian platter. If I want a lighter meal, I often order the house salad and lentil soup, or a couple of appetizers. Their spinach pies are wonderful. This is Central Florida's best kept secret. Please give this delightful place a try.More
My wife and I ate here for the first time last night based on reviews. It is nothing fancy from the outside or the inside; but the service was excellent and the food was very good.
We started with appetizers of hommos, tabbouleh, and sefiha...(meat pie). My wife really liked the tabbouleh although she didn't care much for the hommos.
For our entrees, I had the mixed grill to try both the lamb and the chicken kabobs. Both were excellent. My wife had the Shish Tawook (chicken kabobs) and she enjoyed them very much.
Our service was excellent and although they showed us the buffet they certainly didn't "push" it. I can't imagine either of the gentlemen who we encountered (server and the owner?) yelling at anyone like I saw in a review from the same night we were there. They were both friendly and helpful and very polite.
We will be back.More
