Very busy when we arrived so we feared a less than perfect experience. However, we immediately received prompt attention from Kayla, who happily answered many menu questions and got us going.
Ordered drinks and six food items and asked them to stagger the orders so...we could enjoy them fresh, and not receive them all at once. Many houses simply can’t pull that off well.
Just two items came out in the first round as hoped. The battered shrimp were big and fat with a great remoulade sauce. The wide-cut onion rings had crust that adhered well, so no hollow bites!
Exceptional service continued, with great attention to drinks and food delivered at just the right times. The pizzas were darned good. They have regular and cauliflower crusts. Tried the latter out of curiosity. It was incredibly crispy and you’d never know you weren’t eating wheat dough. Their traditional crust is better than average. The ‘Big Mike’ house pizza tastes like a Big Mac sandwich and I would order that one again.
The Eggplant parmesan was a generous portion, three large thin crispy fried planks, with intensely flavored marinara sauce better than most Italian houses.
The cocktails are priced well below most places, even the call brands.
Ask for Kayla if you can get her before finishing her Master’s degree. She is very attentive and has a vibrant personality!
