A few lines to introduce myself. My name is Al Whelan, I am from Boston and worked at a famous "waterfront dive" known as Kelly's Landing. A seafood business in a Catholic community with lines down the street, literally. I worked there for five summers and enjoyed every minute of it. My first date with the counter girl (she couldn't resist a man in a paper hat), my first kiss, etc. One rule was demanded, cooking with clean oil! In those days it was lard! Today we use canola oil both on the grill side and on the fry side... Most of our dinners are on the grill side. Fish shrimp, scallops, steaks, ribs, chicken and pork round off our menu. Our Irish Connoli is like a little piece of heaven and our homemade bread pudding is to die for. Both topped off with sweet whipped cream. We've added a 6000 square foot patio surrounded by trees. A truly private and romantic spot. Also some added features such as, a basketball cage, beer pong table and corn hole court.

The atmosphere is unique and whimsical seaside like! Nothing fancy, casual. The service and food was great. Again, not 4 or 5 star, but very fresh and good. It was not crowded "Super Bowl Sunday" it's not a sports bar. There is an outside garden area looks nice but, it was too cold to sit out there. Prices were reasonable,... More

This a very fun and quirky place. The waitress and owner were friendly. Really enjoyed the samples they served as we waited for our meal. They then brought out a wonderful complimentary cannoli dessert and a shot of amaretto to finish off the evening. Recommended for a laid back evening to enjoy with friends.

We took friends from NYS for their first time and as always it was wonderful in all respects. The food, the service and a visit from Al the owner. Our servers Katelyne and Tara were excellent. We have lived in Cape Coral and the surrounding area for over 30 years and have never been disappointed at the Moorings.

Stopped in for happy hour on a Tuesday night around 5. Funky place. Very quirky and we liked that about it. Sat outside on the patio where funky and quirky became a bit dirty and junky, but still OK. Decided to have dinner based on T/A reviews. Kaitlyn was our server. She was very attentive and friendly through the whole... More

We had just arrived from Wisconsin, and have always depended on Trip Advisor and friends referrals to find good restaurants. The parking lot had one car, but they had just opened for dinner. When you walk in it has the ambience of a Florida Keys or Bahamas hole-in-the-wall. No windows so it was on the dark side. (Kind of funky... More

Great place to eat!!!! Fishermans platter was HUGE--and had a nice variety of seafood. Katelyn was sooo friendly and welcoming--and made us feel right at home--after just arriving from WI to Cape Coral. we were looking for a fun, relaxing, low key, affordable place to get some good Florida fish/seafood. MMMMM --hit the spot. liked it so much --we returned... More

We like to use Tripadvisor when traveling to a new location to help locate restaurants and things to do. We decided New England Mooring would be a good choice since it was rated in the top 10 restaurants in the Cape Coral area. We arrived around 6 PM on a Friday night. There were guest only seated at 2 table... More

Went here twice, Al the owner is very friendly, and funny. Food was good but from what we saw the second time, my wife will not go back. Kitchen was dirty, glasses also dirty. Sorry for this review, just being honest!!!!

This is literally a great place located off Del Prado. The looks are deceiving. Give it a try as many of us locals know how great it really is. The quality beats many of the "well knowns"!!
