Pete’s Fish & Chips is an authentic British “Chip Shop”, in Cape Coral, Florida. Fish and Chips is a British staple food and is a dish of battered and deep fried Icelandic cod filet with double sliced fried potatoes or “chips”. Chips are more satisfying as an accompaniment to fried fish than the more slender “fries” which are served in most US restaurants. Combined with a sparse covering of salt and vinegar, Fish and Chips is a sublime eating experience. Pete’s also offers Cheesesteaks, Chicken, Shrimp, and Assorted Pasties, which are a rare treat. The last two years it seems like food and service have declined across the board. Pete's was our first stop when we finally made it back to Cape Coral, and we were not disappointed. Always friendly service, and consistent product. We tried the shrimp, and it was also great. My husband and I shared the regular shrimp and regular fish and chips, and I couldn't begin to finish my portion so he had to take one for the team. It makes me crazy that people give a low rating for a small delivery area, pricing, or hours of operation. People...just eat the fish and be happy. It's the best there is.

Delicious large fish & English chips (2 large loins), with a cold brew for 2 , $42.Cozy, in a small shopping center, ample parking. Cash payment preferred, charge for credit card. Best!!!

Excellent cod! I am originally from New England so we used to get cold water cod quite often. This is the best fried cod I have ever had. Get the Regular for a nice thick cut! Fried perfectly and not at all greasy! Tim and Kayla served us - friendly people and great customer service. Chips were great too. We will be back soon!

Several times ordered from Pete’s and most of the time it’s really good. This last experience was anything but. Not only were the young girls that worked behind the counter not wearing masks, they were making fun of customers that were wearing them. The portion was maybe a snack size. Tiny piece of fish and 2 soggy shrimps. Too many fish n chip restaurants that have bigger portions for less or same cost. Really sucks this happened. It was for a celebration dinner and Pete’s failed.

We are sorry and disappointed that you did not enjoy your last visit with us last time. We are also offended that you would state that any of our staff would make fun of any customer wearing a mask. We would claim that this is an outright lie because we do not employee those type of employees, If you were not happy with our food, that is one thing and you are entirely entitled to your opinion but please do not make false accusations because it does not reflect well on your character.

Fish /Chicken was Good / Fries were good /Shrimp over cooked
Cleanliness could use work.
I think this was a fun place when the Englishmen owned it
That is not the case anymore
Flexibility in menu could be better
I wanted chicken & Shrimp
But couldn’t order it that way
Hubby says not on our revisit list
The very nice employee kept calling me “Honey” & that irritates me. We did enjoy listening to the Beatles

Thank you for visiting with us. We are glad you enjoyed our food although the shrimp were a little well done. We have had some issues with staff and have recently had to let one of our fryer cooks leave. Although we do not have a specific Chicken and Shrimp meal basket, you can order any of our food items as an add-on so that you can eat exactly what you want. We hope that you will comeback and visit with us again.

Their fish and chips was excellent as always. When In town we always eat there. Wish they made their own tarter versus the packets. They only allow 3 packets per piece of fish which is not enough for some. It's like limiting ketchup for fries. We order extra side of fish that is not in pic

We do have our homemade tartar sauce available on all the tables when dining in and can make it available for take-out orders upon request. After a long day travelling from Toronto to our destination in Cape Coral...after much research on restaurants..we decided to try Pete’s!!
We had one small order of fish n chips and one small order of shrimp and chips..
Can’t think of one bad thing to say..even the coleslaw was perfect!!! Reel me in again Pete’s!

Ordered at 6:17PM and was told my wait would be approx 20 minutes. Asked them where my order was at 6:52, They asked my name and couldn't find my order. They looked at my receipt and said my order would be placed right away. Finally rcvd dinner at 6:59 - no Sorry, no compensation, no nothing for my inconvenience. Just $27.58 for 2 fish and chip dinners. Absolutely no customer service at all. NEVER visiting them again...

We did fully apologized for the mishap. Not to make excuses but on Fridays during Lent we are usually very overwhelmed with orders and try our very best not to have any mistakes or issues. Although 97% of all orders are correct, sometimes an order does get misplaced or not fulfilled correctly. Most of our steady loyal customers understand the pressure we endure on Fridays during Lent.

We decided to check Pete's Fish & Chips and were pleasantly surprised. I've eaten Fish & Chips in London, Glasgow and Dublin. Pete's was definitely on par. We'll be back again! Prices were good too.

We also try to keep our prices fair, but this has continually been a struggle since our costs keep going up due to inflation and supply shortages. We will NOT compromise on our food quality and so the struggle continues.

Ordered Philly cheesesteaks for dinner had it delivered, food came super fast was still steaming when it arrived, the cheesesteaks were fantastic! Felt like I was back in Philly. Will definitely be ordering more from Pete’s fish and chips. Highly recommend this place. Prices were fair also.

Went there specifically for the new Philly cheesesteak and it was great! Just the right amount of mtb(meat to bun) ratio and adequate sauteed onions and mushrooms. Will certainly return for more.
