First time there… low traffic for the season (summer)… great selection of local favorites… seating on the lake (screened porch). Location is not that far off the beaten path… very pastoral… easy to get to… by car or boat. Service was spot on… pricing is...moderate… and the menu offered everything expected from a Florida “on the lake” restaurant! We will be returning, and bringing others.More

Don't let appearances fool you this place is a hidden jem. We were here on a Wednesday for lunch. The food was fantastic. We ordered steamed crawfish, cod baskets, and a shrimp basket. Everything was fresh and homemade. Our server was friendly and made us...feel welcome. We sat in the screened in patio with a view of the lake. Saw a manatee and gator. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend to friends.More

We have always enjoyed coming here. The other day we went for peel and eat shrimp. My husband always loved their peel & eat shrimp. He ordered it over ice and the woman never said anything about it. When they finally brought our order, the...shrimp were peeled & hot. We told her what the problem was and all she said was they were out of peel & eat shrimp. We should have refused the order. They did put the shrimp on ice. Heard there's new management. May not go back for a while.More

Stopped for lunch and will definitely return. Dine on the enclosed porch overlooking the lake. Very good sandwiches and quite inexpensive.

We had a fish sandwich and gator tail. Very good and the price is right. Service was excellent. And the view of Dead Lake made it even better. A little out of the way but well worth it!

We stopped here on our way back to Atlanta from The Villages. Its a little out of the way but I will try to stop every time now. Food was great, everything tasted fresh made, not frozen. They were getting ready to close up for...a few days due to Hurricane Dorian but we didnt feel rushed at all. Our server was Punk and she was great! She seems to have a great rapport with customers I assume are regulars and treated us the same! The view is beautiful and relaxing, right on the waters edge! Really want to come back for a sunset!! Ill be back again! Next time for the Gator Tail or maybe the infamous Swamp Burger!More

Seafood and BBQ. An odd combination but this place pulls it off. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Well off the beaten path, it was nearly empty when we visited, but it's large enough for tour buses. Air conditioned insite, screened patio and...outdoor seating avaliable. Worth a special trip.More

There is a small bar with beer and alcohol there. It does serve as a locals hangout, and you'll meet some interesting folks there.
