Visiting family in nearby Inverness, they took us here specifically and we were not disappointed. The shrimp and grits were great, chicken and waffles were very good The chicken was perfectly fried. The cinnamon roll was super tasty and gooey. We were seated right away....More

Finally, a restaurant that knows how to make an omelet, not an egg-wrapped burrito that they call an omelet. The grits were real, good grits. The coffee was fresh, the waitress friendly and helpful, the prices reasonable. The $2 bills in change made me remember...More

I am in Brooksville frequently for business. I always try to schedule around a trip to Florida Cracker Kitchen. While everything I've had here has been good, the Brisket sandwich with collard greens is phenomenal! Highly recommended! The service is always friendly and efficient.

Had shrimp and grits--- the grit cakes were wonderful but the shrimp and sauce were bland and this dish calls for spice. The brisket sandwich was skimpy and nothing to write home about!!! We waited for 45 minutes and were very disappointed--- maybe breakfast is...More

Florida Cracker is one of those unusual places where once you have eaten there you find yourself talking it up anytime you find yourself making suggestions of "where to go".

Hard to say. I've always gone between 9 & 10 am on the weekend. At 9 it was easy to get seated while by 10 we had about a 10-15 minute wait for a table for 2. Best to call them for advice.

I have been to your restaurant before and found the wait to sometimes be long. I would like to bring a party of six for breakfast. Do you take reservations? It is on a Monday. Thank you. I tried calling at 12:15pm and could get no answer today (Monday) so perhaps you are closed.

The Florida Cracker Kitchen is Family owned resturant by 2 brothers that were born and raised in the business. The Kitchen is a laid back atmosphere with southern hospitality and real food like your mom used to make. We bake our own Bread and Biscuits daily and everything is made with heart and soul. As the name says the Florida Cracker Kitchen brings back the old florida and the tastes that accompany it. We take shrimp and grits to another level with our homemade Tomato Gravy and saute fresh shrimp in and pour it over grit cakes and it will make your tongue slap your brains out! Hopefully we will see you soon!
