Spontaneous Lunch with daughter

My daughter & her boyfriend frequent this place often & she raved about the veal. I come from NYC & have not been able to find good veal cutlet like back in NYC. We were looking for a place to have lunch & she suggested Allegria & said you must try the veal dish Veal Valdostana. We were disappointed as it was not on the lunch menu but we asked Ivy & she said of course you can order it & gave us the dinner menu. We both ordered this dish & WOW it was delicious. The price was a little high but not really as they give you suck a big portion so we both had take home half the dish & had dinner the next night @ home. Ivy the waitress was a delight & also Frank the host was very nice. The chef who I think is also the owner came out to ask how we liked everything& of course we said delicious. I would highly recommend this place & the veal to all my friends & when my New Yorkers come to visit that's where I will take them.

Great Food in Brandon

My wife and I had dinner here after Mass on a Sunday evening. The waitress, Ivy, was wonderful to chat with, very attentive to our needs, and made great recommendations on menu selections. Qe started with the appetizer sampler which included calamaretti Fritti, mozzarella in carozza, and bruschetta toscana. This platter of appetizers could have been a dinner all by itself. All were wonderful. My wife had linguine carbonara and I had the gnocchi bolognese. Both pasta dishes were well prepared and very tasty. We had enough of each left for lunch the next day. I strongly recommend Allegria Italiana.

Classy and intimate restaurant

I was craving Italian and needed to do some work on my laptop, so I popped in during my lunch hour. Frank was my server and when I told him I was pregnant and couldn’t have any soft cheeses, then he was very attentive to my specific dietary needs and quickly helped me order. Since I was on a time crunch, they brought my food out fast and another server came over before I left and told me congrats on my pregnancy. I loved it! This place seems like home....I definitely recommend coming here for a quiet solo lunch, an intimate date night or even taking some friends here to catch up. I’ll be coming back soon!

Unprofessional and Disrespectful Owner

Please first sort the reviews by lowest rated and read the owner's response to negative reviews and then ask yourself, do I want to give this man money who belittles and attacks those who disagree with him? He may have great food or maybe bad but no local business like this should be in business treating people this way. Here's my story: I walk in khaki shorts and a T shirt. The owner approaches me and says when you come in my place you need to dress better next time. I respond with seriously? He says yes, you clearly have no pride in yourself. Unlike him instead of causing a scene I take the high road and leave. This man is an embarrassment to small business owners and has no level of higher being to speak to people in this manner. You have been warned. P.S. Make sure you read the attack he will more than likely respond with because dignity and morals do not exist with him.

Really!!! I guess you don't me well. I'm also an independent business owner like you pointed out "I'm an independent contractor" and contrary to you I do take pride in what I do and how I look. By the way the reason I addressed you was because the t-shirt you wore had the short sleeves rolled up your shoulder and apparently you failed to realise the type of establishment you entered in or you didn't care. So if I made you uncomfortable forgive me for caring for my customers and not you. By the way I didn't attack you but you definitely showed your arrogance the way you replied and you will never set your feet in my restaurant.I did give you great great review to Door Dash.

My mom loved the food. She wrote that it was delicious. Grubhub had made a mistake but the restaurant fixed it, the lady on the phone was sweet and helpful. The delivery was right on time and the driver even texted me to say that he was there delivering the food. Thank you. Making my mom feels special - especially now that we are living through this coronavirus emergency - meant the world to me. Thank you.

My husband grew up around an Italian family in Tampa and pretty much got spoiled with the taste of real authentic Italian food. We visited Allegria a few weeks ago and we both agreed the sauce is way too sweet for our liking. I don’t know of Italian sauce to be sweet so it was a disappointment for sure! Nice people and our waitress was great but we probably wouldn’t go back unless we knew the sauce recipe changed. Nice and cozy atmosphere though😊

Lunch Meeting

The food here is impeccable definitely adds a different delicate side to usual dishes. Definitely dont leave hungry. However couldn't give 5 stars given the service was a little abrasive. Being a 5 star fine dining FOH manager/Trainer there needs to be a caring personable character especially if that's the only representation of your business that we get. It can make or break a place. Not taking away from the food though would definitely recommend. Ivey definitely did great otherwise just wish the experience was more delicate a bit less harsh & rushed. My 2 cents

We were seated right in front of the bar....bad place, as the manager (we think) was on the phone the entire time we were there. He never stopped talking on the phone on our side of the bar, and that is all I heard while sitting there. He did ask at the beginning if he was bothering us, and my wife said no, but we never thought he would stay there and talk the whole time we were there. The Calamara was the best part of our meal, however the sauce was not impressive. My wife had the Gnocchi with spinach and said that it was ok, but had to add crushed red pepper to it. I had the Lasagna Di Carne--Meat lasagna......which was missing the meat. The sauce, which was supposed to be a meat sauce, didn't have much meat in it either. The sauce was too sweet for me also. The waitress was nice. The service was average and the food was the same.

Don’t go to this place if you want a calm relaxing time.

If I can give this place a zero I would. Get there at 6pm with my family (party of 6) to eat. Our waiter seems to be in a rush. Constantly coming back to our table and rushing us to order because it’s “going to get busy”. We ask his name and he’s says you can call me “Bond, James Bond” which is extremely disrespectful. Once again he comes to the table after ordering a bottle of wine, a separate glass of wine, and an appetizer and starts asking us are we ready to order. I politely tell him he’s being a little pushy and to slow down. A family member that flew in started having an anxiety attack because she felt as though she had to order right now and didn’t know what she wanted but he was pushing us to order now. So we ask him to slow down and he starts raising his voice. I turn to someone bussing a table and ask for the manager and he says it’s him. I say hey can you just ask him to slow down. His answer was “you guys are asking for too much, you can leave. Get out. Dont worry about the wine or food. Leave. Find some other place to eat.” I’ve never been so disrespected so bad in my life. And to think I brought my wife grandmother and family here. I was embarrassed to say the least. Idk if it was because the majority of the table was a younger crowd or because we were Puerto Rican but we were treated like trash since we walked in. I’d avoid this place like the plague. Oh and I left at 6:26. So 26 minutes of service and kicked out. We weren’t yelling, we were cordial and politely asked him to stop being so aggressive. Unbelievable.

Amazing find for wonderful Italian food!

Wow! We took a very short ride from the Seminole Casino to enjoy one of our best meals out. Made to order authentic dishes with delicate delicious flavors. Mussels were fresh and tender and the Veal Valdostana was incredible! So nice to have live entertainment on a Wednesday evening. Service was impeccable- thanks Nancy! Make sure to use your GPS, the restaurant tucked away, but will easy to find next time.

Do not recommend!

WARNING! Went on Wednesday. Music available. Place was busy. Staff were nice, but very slow. Ordered chicken parmesan. It was burnt, and awful. Another Wednesday we ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were dark and tasted burnt. Fine dining price for poor quality food. Will not go back.

Excellent Italian food

This was our first time at this restaurant and we loved it! The food and service were both excellent even tho two large parties were seated right after we entered the restaurant. We are very picky with calamari and this was the best we have had in a long time. Not only was it tender, but the accompanying sauce was very good also. The salad was very good as were our main meals. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

Didn’t like the way I looked apparently. They looked me up and down a couple times and they sent someone over to say they aren’t taking any more people since they are full with reservations even the place was mostly empty and didn’t ask if I had a reservation. I guess my money isn’t welcome there.

Stop being a victim I don't look at a potential customer with any bad intentions or whatever you are implying. Even though you saw some hempty tables you didn't know our reservation status just to clear the air we had already booked a party of 41 people for 7 pm that's the only reason sorry if you thought otherwise.

Best date nite place

This was our second time here, and experience was again amazing. Food was delicious. I ate it before taking a picture to post. Great atmosphere and selection of wines and drinks. I like the art on the north wall. Tells interesting story. Ask a server about it. I would reccomend reservations on a weekend, as tables fill up quickly. I had minestrone, stuffed mushrooms, and please forgive my misspelling, knocci belongze. Chef told me sauce takes 3 hours to cook. As good as it was, I'm happy he takes the time. We will return here as often as possible. I'm buying gift cards here for future presents.

Wish we lived closer...

What a wonderful restaurant! Hard to decide what to get because everything looked so good. Finally decided on the linguini a vongole (me) and the veal parmesan (my husband). Both delicious. The home-made marinara was incredible! Came with a house salad but we upgraded to Caesar for $4 more. It was very good but the house salad was probably excellent as well, and a good sized portion. Cannoli was fantastic too. Will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. Many of the diners appeared to be locals. The restaurant was very busy but our server Nancy kept things moving nicely and Vito (the owner/manager?) stepped in to help out as the place got even busier. We were very lucky to get a table - only because we went around 5:30 or so. Don't expect to get a table if you're much later than that without a reservation. Great experience. Wish we could do it again next week but back to North Carolina. Thanks all.
