We were spending Thanksgiving week in Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island and we wanted something different for Thanksgiving dinner. The French Table was just what we were looking for. A small family run restaurant serving authentic French country food. Very different for a beach...town and a very good meal.More

Recently stayed on Longboat key, came across this quaint family restaurant. My son wanted to try French food and he picked this location. Loved the food and the friendly owners, we ended up eating there two times while on the key. Would highly recommend!!

Something about the French Table’s website caused me to think “we ought to check this place out” – and we are SO glad we did! It’s a small, lovely restaurant, family owned and operated (Marieke and Christophe and their daughter are the only employees), with...an authentic French feel, and truly spectacular food. From the freshly baked French bread to the entrees to the wine, we enjoyed every part of the meal. Marieke made us feel as if we were dining in her home. She also explained that while technically, they could seat guests at every table, they are only allowing a few tables to be seated at a time, to allow for social distancing and to allow their customers to feel safe. That was a nice touch. Whenever we get a chance to return to AMI, we’ll be back at the French Table.More

Authentic, genuine French restaurant! From the freshly baked (warm) bread and onion soup, to the chicken entree to dessert, everything was wonderful!

We wanted to find a place to celebrate our Anniversary and found the reviews for the French Table to be very good so we gave it a shot. We could not have been happier with the experience. The restaurant is intimate and is run by...a husband, wife and daughter. The food was outstanding and the fresh made bread was incredible. If you are looking for an affordable great meal on Anna Maria Island, look no further. We will definitely be back!More

Just go. If you love French food...or if you just love good food...just go. The owners are charming and friendly, the decor of the small dining area is perfect, and the food...wonderful. There's a great selection of French wines to choose from and the menu...represents some great choices from the southwest region of France. My cassoulet was honestly as good as any I've had in my life. Brilliant. Highly recommended for fans of French cuisine or for anyone looking for a warm, tasty, reasonably priced meal.More

The star of this family-run restaurant is the food, especially the flavorful wine sauces. This is not your standard beach fare, but don't be intimidated by the French dishes. There is nothing pretentious or stuffy about this restaurant. The atmosphere is quirky, quaint, relaxed. My...wife ordered coq au vin and enjoyed it. It is chicken in red wine sauce with vegetables and potatoes. The flavors are like a beef stew, except with chicken. I had blanquette de la mar, which is scallops and shrimp in white wine sauce with vegetables and rice. Delicious. Mildly disappointed that the scallops were tiny bay scallops, not at all meaty, but the meal was tasty and satisfying. Bread is offered and it is good, a mix of French bread and a darker bread with walnuts. An appealing dessert is Café Gourmand, a small sampler of 3 desserts: crème brulee, chocolate mousse and flan in caramel. Wish more restaurants offered dessert samplers instead of mega-desserts. One small complaint: we had a reservation but no table was reserved for us. When we arrived, we were told to take any table we wanted. That was OK, except best tables were taken. A reservation should assure a prime table.More

Great little family run French restaurant! Good food, nice atmosphere. My husband had the mussels and thought that the sauce was 'to die for' good. The french onion soup is the best I've had. The pasta carbonara is very tasty.

We were expecting great things from this experience based on all the excellent reviews. It was very good, very good. It was fun to go to a small French restaurant with fabulous service. The food was excellent but not fabulous and we found the portion...sizes to be a bit small. But the French Table is worth a visit, especially if you are tired of the waits for the large seafood restaurants.More

No plans to drink the bottle then ? They have a great selection of wines which they will serve by the glass. Take my advice, when you get in there you won’t want to leave so, go for the bottle
