as i live in a community that has Flakowitz on site we used to have Sunday breakfast in our club house by Flakowitz so it was an easy choice to go there for dinner as we like to eat out once or twice weekly. we ordered the full dinner 19.95 and 21.95 the latter being lamb shanks everything was very good excluding the stuffed derma it looked like a small hockey puck in size and texture as my bridge was very expensive one attempted bite determined no way dinner ended with delicious pecan babka what ended the love affair and dinners at Flakowitz was when paying i noticed bags of sliced bread / ends. thinking it was day olds i picked one up thinking great to feed the birds/ducks. to my surprise i was charged 3.50 i asked the cashier why 3.50 for day old. she barked out loudly "it is fresh from today" i left paying when i got home i felt like a piece of toast taking out a slice i toasted it oh my it was sour meaning the bread was more like a week old . i emptied the bag only to find 50% ends and 1st and second small slices. the rest was a mixture of breads broken pieces . stale and most likely left overs from customers baskets. Flakowitz should be pleased i never called the health dept i have lived in many countries well traveled never have i come across such disgusting behavior no more Flakowitz for us and notice the most nasty cashier

We came hare with friends who are regulars. The outdoor tables are nicely spaced, the service was very prompt and friendly ( thank you Alex and Moses!), The food is reasonably priced and your dinner comes with soup and dessert. The food itself, while good, was not impressive. Maybe it's what you order... The roast beef felt dry, but the goulash was very tasty. The babka was a little old, not as soft as I hoped; maybe that's because we were there for an early dinner. I guess at breakfast they are better. Make sure you get there early; they close at 7:00 pm, we were practically the last party to leave. We'll be back, I want to try something else.

We had breakfast here. Although we arrived early there was a long line and the interactions with staff felt like an assembly line. However, we were provided with a few complimentary squares of marble cake which were delicious and tastier than what we had ordered. I’d try it again, hopefully at a less crowded time. Based upon this visit though I thought it was overrated.

Great place for a Jewish meal, we went with friends for lunch and it was wonderful. Pleasant staff, delicious corn beef and pastrami sandwiches, stuffed cabbage was also very good, coleslaw was tasty as was the potato salad just a great place. There is a full service deli and bakery inside the restaurant so you can take your favorites home with you. They also make bagels there that are delicious.

After ordering the Dinner for Two it was delivered to us in a sturdy box with clear reheating instructions. The contents were plentiful, allowing for second night dinner ,plus. Aside from quantity, we found each dish to be well prepared and tasty. The price was very reasonable and we were delighted with the results

We had a disappointing breakfast meal which saddened my family. This used to be our favorite restaurant for Breakfast or lunch. Haven’t been there in a few years so we were excited to return. Fabulous waiter, but inattentive poorly made meals. Cold, dry, burnt hash brown potatoes, puréed ? Tasteless corn beef hash served like a burger, Greek Omelette with feta in one lump on one side, left four of us wondering what the problem was in the kitchen. Pass on

This restaurant is a must for Jewish-style cuisine. The dinner specials are amazing and include matzo ball or beef barley soup, a huge mail course, a beverage and a very large desert such as a slice of cake or fruit pie. the deserts also include Bobka. We ordered the three meats platter, and a reuben sandwich. The dinners also come with bread so you can make your own sandwich with the three deli meats (or chopped liver) on the platter. The matzo ball soup is a nice bowl with a large matzo ball. The only drawback is that the restaurant generally starts shutting down by 8:30 pm so get there early to fully enjoy your meal.

Stepping into Flakowitz felt like I was in Long Island, Florida! From the bagels to the salads to the baked goods to the customers to the service staff someone needs to convince me I am indeed in South Florida and not in Suffolk County! During a recent trip to South Florida we went to Flakowitz twice. On the first visit we picked up a half dozen bagels, chicken salad and Israeli Salad. The bagels were fresh and delicious, while the chicken salad may have been amongst the best we ever had. On the second visit we picked up a few more bagels, more Israeli Salad, more chicken salad, four of the well revered onion pockets, some fresh smoked salmon and a black and white cookie. The onion pockets are legendary and if you do not get there early enough they may be out of them and you may miss your chance to try them. The onion pockets are a large roll with a soft spot in the middle with cooked onions; cut the pocket open and add some chicken salad and wow! The lox is fabulous too on one of their bagels (many varieties available), and what better way to top the meal than with a black and white cookie. The first time we visited it was a sunny 70 degree day but the prior day had seen lows in the low 50s. Upon paying out the cashier commented how nice it was this day but how it was freezing the day before, being a Western New Yorker I could only wish for a January day in the low 50s! Flakowitz is a must when in South Florida; the only thing missing from our visits was Maxwell Jacob Friedman!

We finally tried Flakowitz for breakfast and came away unimpressed. First, how can you call it an authentic deli if they don't make their own corned beef hash. It came from a can, I asked before ordering. Typical busy and noisy deli, however, with a rude hostess (OK, maybe not so atypical). The breakfast was OK, nothing special. We live in the area and many have recommended it, but there are other choices around that in our opinion are better.

We came to Flakowitz for an early lunch and really enjoyed it. This restaurant is located in the Hagen Ranch Commons on the southeast corner of Boynton Beach Blvd. and Hagen Ranch Rd. There is more than enough parking. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty busy, so during our wait, we did look at the deli cases, as well as the baked goods cases. I was impressed. We had a corned beef sandwich and I had a bowl of cabbage soup. The sandwich was definitely large. They have a great selection of Jewish-style deli foods. This restaurant does a great job carrying o the New York traditions.

We come up often from Plantation to meet our daughter and family on a regular basis. They no longer carry pirogen which was not a good seller. I can understand. I ordered a potato knish and a plain bagel. I was charged $4.25 for a plain bagel (no butter or anything) . This is freakin ridiculous. I tried to find a mgr but when I asked an employee I was totally ignored as if I was invisible. The food overall was just fair and definitely not worth the prices chgd. I still cannot believe you charged me $4.25 for a plain bagel. I am done with this place and will not return.

Met a childhood friend for Breakfast at Flakowitz while I was in town for a short visit. I only wish I had a restaurant like this in my home town of Dana Point in Orange County CA. Walking into the restaurant and seeing the deli and bakery on the right reminded me of the places I used to go to in my youth on Miami Beach, Florida. Everything looked so good I wish I would have shipped some of those items back home to enjoy at a later date. The menu had everything you could want for a breakfast but I just selected a simple eggs, bacon, home fries and bagel breakfast and some of the complementary coffee cake placed on the table. Everything was good and prepared well. We finished our meal and then went outside for some more kibitzing and coffee. Being an old fart I forgot my light jacket at the outside table and called the restaurant. A very nice lady went out and found it, placed it aside for me to pick up later. All in all Flakowitz is a really good place for breakfast and I can’t wait to return to the area and enjoy a nice sandwich on my return.

First you get 2 large pieces of marble cake put on the table. Then the sandwiches we order came out enough for two people. We also went and took out some food for people coming over and the nova lux was the best we ever tasted. The bakery had a nice selection to choose from. Highly recommend this place.

wife and I went for dinner and were not disapointed in the quality of the food we were served, /started with the chicken soup with Matza ball that is always great. We then shared a dinner of Brisket and were glad we shared as on order was way to big for just one person. It came with a large potato Latke and apple sauce. They served nice home made rolls (which I think they should warm) and some rye bread. There is an up charge to share but it consists of an exra soup and potato latke and two desserts and also a soft drink. A great deal. The place was very busy and it was a Monday night. A line waiting to get a table. The quality was very good. Service was good. Parking was good. Always very clean inside. The deli section was busy but not overly so.Oh,Yes you do get dessert with the meal and you get a choice from the dessert tray. I had the apple turnover which was nice and home made.

I want to like Flakowitz because the menu options sound good but after two visits the only thing that is good is the complimentary marble cake which is outstanding. On this visit I had eggs and what was supposed to be corn beef hash but was really just a purée left on the grill until it was black. Service was indifferent.
