We have been looking for an excellent Italian restaurant for almost a year when we heard of Baciami. When we arrived for our reservation we had to wait for someone to come to the front and ask about our reservations. The restaurant itself is beautiful, Since our table was not ready, we went to the bar for cocktails. The bartender was friendly, but seemed overwhelmed. Not a problem since we were waiting for our table. When we were seated at our table (only a 10 minute wait), we were treated by a server who did not introduce himself but took our appetizer order. When our server, Alexander, came to our table he took our drink order (which I never received). He also took our entree order but did not tell us the specials. That was the last we saw of Alexander until our bill. The food was EXCELLENT. We had sausage and broccoli rabe as our appetizer and it was cooked perfectly. For our entrees we ordered seafood fra diavlo land chicken rollatini which were delicious. The other 2 gentlemen who assisted Alexander were pleasant, but there seemed to be confusion with the service. We were asked if we wanted cappuccino or coffee after that was brought to us (after an extremely long wait), the dessert menu was give to us. Too late. Guess we will need to try dessert next time. Since the food was so good, we will be returning but I hope the service situation gets resolved. If the service was better I would have given it a 4 (maybe 5) rating, but the service truly was horrible.

Last week six of us went to Baciami Italiano, as we have been doing for the last few years, and were very disappointed in their lack of Covid19 practices. All of the quality restaurants that we have been frequenting in the last month, have upheld a very high standard of providing protection and safety to their staff, and delivering a conforable feeling to their guests. No so here!!!
After walking in to the restaurant at 7:30PM, we noticed that NONE of the staff, waiters or bartenders were wearing any type of protective gear...NO masks or gloves. Now I know that it is not required by law to wear them, give me a break, I don't need the waiter standing next to me taking my order and breathing into my face without a mask. Better than that, the waiter picks up my water glass with his ungloved hand, fills my glass, puts it down and expects me to then put my hand on that same glass and drink my water? Are you kidding me?? Thank goodness the food was good.
The service was extremely slow, considering the place was half empty, and our waiter Rich was inattentive, very confused and couldn't seem get the fact that were not happy with his service.
After our bill was brought to the table, we noticed that there was a $20.00 surcharge that was added to the bill. Of course our waiter couldn't explain to us what the charge was for, so after the manager came over and said that it was a Covid and PPE charge, we just got even more agitated, payed the bill and left very unhappy ~ never going back here again. If you're going to add a surcharge put a notice upfront on the host stand or on the tables, don't surprise your customers while their pay the bill! Very underhanded!

Outdoor seating faces car garage, but chose this as it is during pandemic. They had no round table, we were shoulder to shoulder. There was only one other table occupied outdoors. Not many customers inside either as well as it shouldn’t be during a pandemic. In addition, the menus were not disposable as recommended by health experts, I doubt they were cleaned as one of our guests were given a menu for Valentine’s Day, despite this being the day after. We ordered appetizers by 7pm. They brought bread in the mean time, offered 2 types of olive oil, poured the wrong one, but both olive oils were good. Appetizers were ok, we got the meatballs, they came out slow, but there was a one hour delay between finishing appetizers and the meal being served. The waiter, which took our orders was also the one serving, he couldn’t get that correct as he gave my husband’s order to a new acquaintance seated at the other end of the table, 3 of us had been served of the 6 of us,so instead of allowing food to get cold, while we sat waiting, we told the guests to proceed. At this time, one guest tasted her dish and said this wasn’t her order and the waiter realized he had made a mistake, looked like he expected he could dump our friend’s friends partially eaten food in front of him. He saw we were not going to allow that, then offered to take it back and “flash” serve us his order, which we declined as what was the explanation for our order taking over an hour in the first place, plus I don’t want chicken flash cooked from what is described as fine Tuscan dining. I had ordered what was listed as a veal chop Sorrentino. I expected a thick cut of veal. What came out was what appeared like Wiener schnitzel, 1/4 Inch thick with more breading than meat with a skinny knuckle of bone hanging off of it. Didn’t arrive hot, relatively tasteless, so I thought I would pick around at the cavatini pasta at which time I found what all at the table agreed to appear to be a cooked open condom, the waiter brought it back to the kitchen where we were told it was the plastic casing for the pasta bag???? I can’t believe a restaurant of this purported caliber should serve boil in bag pasta, and then leave the bag in there??? The chef should be fired as well. We didn’t desire anything else from this place, I will feel grateful if we don’t get ill from this experience. They should have comped the entire meal for our table, my husband and I were not charged for the dish he never got, nor for my dish I sent back for the plastic bag found in it, plus the fact it was more like a slab of leather breaded and smothered in brown sauce and mushrooms. We did have 2 glasses of wine and meatball appetizer and were stuck with $60 tip for the table, for horrible service as it took 3 hours for this fiasco to transpire.

After a spectacular meal here in late December, we returned for my wife's birthday in January. This was the one place she choose to go for her birthday with out of town friends. It started bad when they couldn't find our reservation. And they weren't apologetic for their mistake suggesting we called another restaurant. Service was terribly slow on this Friday night, but it was the food that was the disaster. Over-cooked, under-cooked, entirely wrong meals, plates didn't show up (ever) … my friends salad was so salty none of us could eat it. Nobody took anything home, just through it away after paying $$$ each for our meals. Worst part, the manager didn't give a crap. Not going back here. To heck with this type of management.

Beautiful establishment!!! I recently visited with a small group of friends. We started at the bar for happy hour. The specialty cocktails were amazing! We then moved to a table for dinner, our server informed us Tuesday evenings are HALF PRICE bottles of wine with dinner!!! Needless to say we indulged! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly! We all had such a wonderful evening catching up with one an other. Staff was excellent! Cheerful and smiles all around! We all felt very comfortable also being here during the pandemic. Very large open restaurant and staff were visibly using extra disinfecting precautions. This is definitely my new spot!

When booking my reservation, they said they only had 5:45pm available and after 7:15pm. So, we picked the 5:45pm. 4 women in our group. The restaurant had PLENTY of open tables the entire time we were there, so it was unclear why they wouldn't give me a 6:30pm reservation. The waiter said he could give us separate checks. The music was so loud we asked if they could turn it down. The manager, Stormy, who was not nice or friendly said they could not as it would ruin the ambiance. The table next to us also asked as they were elderly and hard of hearing. Stormy gave them the same response. The salad and the entrees were served almost simultaneously giving us little room on the table. At the end, Stormy handed us one bill and said she was unable to give us separate checks and she had a serious attitude. There was also an extra $5.00 service charge no one told us about for "sanitizing the table". due to COVID which is ridiculous. What restaurant doesn't sanitize the table automatically? Would NOT recommend this restaurant.

As you may know Covid 19 has left many in our industry permanently without jobs or unable to work for many months. Our industry is one of the many that have been hit the hardest throughout this pandemic. We always appreciate feedback, however reviews like yours hinder our staff's income. I happened to be the manager that approached your table that evening. We provide one check per table, and I did my best to separate your payments as needed. We try and maintain social distancing, and avoid overcrowding in our establishment, by not taking reservations during our busier times. I was unaware your party was bothered by the music; we have many guests that enjoy our music and ambiance. Therefore, we do not adjust any aspect of our ambiance due to a customer's request. Our operations fee is essential due to the tremendous increase in all cost of goods, not sanitation, we have always taken pride in the sanitation of our establishment. Instead of ambushing us on social media, you should have brought these concerns to our attention that evening and we would have had the opportunity to explain and accommodate.

There were for of us for dinner. We had previously gone to their restaurant in Delray. To start, they advertise a lobster special. $39 for 3 1lb lobsters which have to be ordered in advance. So we did. We told the waiter we would have the lobsters as an appetizer which we would share. We were told we can't share. We said we would be ordering 4 main dishes as well. Again we were told we couldn't do that. So we cancelled the lobsters and ordered stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were around $15 where the lobsters were $39. Their policy saved us money. We then asked about ordering veal parmigiana and we didn't want parmigiana cheese on it. The waiter said they make it with parmigiana that is why it is title that. We said the dish is usually made with provolone baked on top of the veal. He said no so one of our members who don't like parmigiana cheese ordered the pasta and clams. Two people ordered the veal parmigiana and the I ordered the veal Sinatra which is 3 pieces of veal with mushrooms and peppers. After all that the food came out. The stuffed mushrooms were cold. We ate them anyway. Of course when the main dishes came out the veal parmigiana did NOT have parmigiana cheese on it so there would have been 3 orders of that if the waiter knew what he was talking about. If he didn't know he should have asked. The pasta with the clams was overcooked with no sauce so it was dry. My veal dish had 3 medallions of veal which were tough and had a funny taste so I only ate the pasta. After all of that BEWARE that they charge an additional fee of 3.5% for cleaning supplies. We eat out every night and have not seen that at any restaurant. When the waiter was asked he said they don't add that into the price of the food like other restaurants. Well, when the final bill came it was well passed $250 which was much more than the fine restaurants we usually go to. As a final note I said to the waiter I would have thought with all the problems we had we would have had a visit from the manager. Of course we never saw one. So because our experience included staff who didn't even know what the dishes were like, food that came out either cold, overcooked or tough, and poor policies, it is lucky that this restaurant didn't get a 1 star.

Jerry, all our specials have restrictions, so people do not take advantage. Serving three, 1LB Maine lobsters is an incredible deal! "Parmigiana" is an Italian dish consisting of melted cheese and tomato sauce, in which case we use mozzarella never provolone. The Vongole pasta in our extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and fresh clam broth was not dry, the guest simply changed their mind to a Veal Chop Parmigiana that they supposedly don't like to begin with? Our operations fee, that has been in place since November of 2019, is due to the tremendous increase in the cost of goods, not cleaning products. The fee is necessary for us to keep in place all our spectacular specials. The fee is listed on all our menus to make you aware before you place your order. Next time ask for a manager so they can accommodate your needs instead of ambushing an establishment and their staff on social media. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit our industry and staff the hardest leaving them unable to work for many months. Reviews like yours hinder our staff's income.

Came home from a happy hour at Baciami tonight and have to say I actually felt insulted. There were four of us who ordered off the happy hour menu at the same time (plus two glasses of wine each) and our food was served at completely different times. My friend and I who ordered the short rib sliders were served first. I thought they were delicious. Ten minutes (or more) later my friends caprese appetizer comes out and ten minutes after that my other friends eggplant parm appetizer arrives. Of course by that time we had eaten our sliders because who wants cold short ribs? Now here is the problem as I see it. When we said to the manager it would have been nice for us all to eat together her response was whatever gets done first when you order from our happy hour menus we just serve it. So you offer a happy hour menu but don’t care about feeding a party at the same time if they order off this menus? Ridiculous! Clearly the message we got was if you order off their happy hour menu you get what you get and too bad. And when my friend said the caprese salad wasn’t good the manager said sorry. Didn’t even ask what was wrong with it. We go to happy hours and dinner at upscale places all the time and the proper thing to do would be to say “Can I get you something else?” Was my first time there and was hoping to bring a group of 8 in two weeks but no thanks!

What an incredible waste of dinner and money. This was absolutely terrible on all accounts. It is very clear why this restaurant isn't rated any higher and I'm sure it will go lower in time. We didn't have a reservation on a Thursday night and were told that it would be no longer than 30 minutes to be seated. After a 30 minute wait I went in and asked and the host seemed to have forgotten that we were there because he then got us seated in less than a minute. Then we noticed that the restaurant was maybe 50% full!! If they were trying to operate at less than capacity because of staffing they should make that known because it didn't go over well with us.
Then the poor service began. We looked over the menu and determined what we would order, sat our menus down, and continued to wait before anyone even bothered to greet us or bring us water, let alone a drink order. The server finally came over after about 10 minutes and brought us water and took orders. We actually didn't wait long for the food but it arrived many minutes before they brought bread to the table. And a few minutes after that we got the water refills we asked for about 5 minutes earlier.
The food was mediocre at best. The pomodoro dish had more sauce than pasta and the shrimp pasta dish had 3 shrimp (in a $30 entree). Then we decided to get a cannoli to go and found that it wasn't stuffed at all! They had piped a little filling into each end but the center was completely empty!
After this miserable experience the bill contained an "operations fee" of about 5%! I have never seen this before and it had no explanation. At that point I just wanted to get out of there and didn't even bother to dispute that. Needless to say that we will never be going back. Too bad because it would have been really great to have a nice place to go to on a regular basis so close to home.

This was my first time dining here, and certainly won’t be my last. To start the location and venue is boynton’s best kept secret, it’s on a chic little brick Avenue off of the beaten bath tucked in boynton’s nicest modern neighborhoods. The ambience was more fruitful than what you’d expect out of anywhere else in the area. We were greeted promptly at the door and sat in the perfect couples table. Our server was Alex, he was as attentive as needed but never once interrupted a good night as so many servers do. My girlfriend is an italian from New York and I, myself, have a deep background in the industry; so they had a tall order. Nonetheless, they delivered. If it’s Italian you’re craving in the area, you’d be a fool to not dine here.

We came for the first time and we will definitely be back! What a beautiful restaurant with high voltage ceilings showcasing a magnificent bar. A true taste of Italy their food met the match. We sampled the stuffed mushrooms which were delicious perfectly moist and a light crust top we also had the tenderloin pasta with filet minion tips which was perfectly cooked in a velvety tarragon cream sauce. My friend had the Veal Milanese pounded thin and crusty and a delicious arugula salad to accompany it. We finished our meal with their house made cannolis which was a perfect ending to a beautiful meal. We would recommend this to all of our friends and family definitely a gem of a place!

On a rainy night like tonight, I wasn't up for dining out. I was craving Italian food, and was highly recommended this restaurant to try. I'm so glad I made the trip. By far, one the best places in Boynton to dine in. The food was phenomenal, and the service was exceptional. Our server Alex was very helpful in explaining the menu and gave a few choice recommendations. I had the ossumbuco ravioli and my date had the chicken scarpaello. Coming back for all you can eat stone crabs! Also great wine selection.

Unfortunately, my dish, the chicken Basiami was over cooked and mostly lacked the advertised gnocchi that were supposed to be part of the dish....thought there was an abundance of pennae. The drinks were tasty and the service just a little rushed - it was 7:15 when we sat down and pretty much the last outdoor table by 8:20...... seemed they wanted to clean up? All in all it was disappointing . If I go back, it certainly won’t be for chicken Basiami..

Jerry,
The Chicken Baciami does not come with gnocchi, it comes with penne pasta. I have copy and pasted the description form the menu below:
Chicken Baciami
chicken, roasted peppers, straw mushrooms, touch of scampi butter, penne $25
As for being the last table outside, we can not control how long other guests dine for. If these issues were concerning enough for you to leave a bad review, I have to ask why didn't you address these issues during your time at Baciami? We would have loved to have taken care of it then.

I can't believe there is anyone who would write a derogatory review about this restaurant. Architecturally and from a decorating perspective, it is beautiful, comfortable, and elegant. The food was simply delicious! I had a veal and artichoke dish following an arugula/mozzarella/ and green tomato salad and ending with cannoli. It couldn't have been better and was off a $32.50 price-fixed menu.
Our waitress was a real professional and came between courses to give us clean silver and to clean crumbs off the table. She moved efficiently and was very solicitous.
The only shortcoming, in my view, was that the background music selection was too loud and not right for the setting. Perhaps it was okay for the bar which is in the middle of the dining area, but something softer and smoother would have gone better with the general ambiance. All in all, a lovely evening.
