Went tonight with my parents while visiting the area. Awkward service. Waitress took my menu before asking what I would like to order. Chips seemed a bit stale and undersalted, but a variety of salsas was a nice addition. Guacamole was good, and a large portion. Quesidilla was a very large portion, but basic fare. I had the chicken in a cream sauce, which would have never passed Gordan Ramsey's palate. basically a bowl of sliced chicken breast in an overwhelming sea of cheesyish sauce...a perfectly formed cupful of rice, (like I was on a prison line being served slop portions), and black beans with a bit of cheese melted on top. At $18 for for the chicken dish, they need to step it up a notch. I have the feeling the 'chefs' don't really feel like chefs here, but rather are following orders from some higher up who has done a food cost analysis, rather than a taste and quality analysis. Service was slow, but this seemed to be a kitchen issue as our dishes arrived piping hot, about 45 minutes after order. They seem to have a great happy hour from 4-7 on beer, wine, margaritas, etc. I would not go back, but it was a nice atmosphere, and pleasant people,

We tried this restaurant on Saturday evening. We were seated at a nice booth, no wait got right in. The prices seemed a little steep but the portions are huge. My husband and I could have split a meal. He never takes leftovers home so it was a very large portion for him to ask for a box. I wish they had smaller portions with a smaller price is really the only complaint other than I wish the food had arrived hotter than it did, it was a small step above warm. But all in all, a great restaurant and the food was very good. You get chips and salsa free unless you want refills then it's a charge. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Nice decor and lots of booths and tables, bar area in the middle of restaurant. I had a Quesadilla with ground beef, my husband had Burrito and a Margarita (at Happy Hour price $5.50) I had a glass of water. The total bill without tip was $44. We will definitely go back but might split a meal the next time.

Mexican food was really good. Jesus recommended our dishes. Nice atmosphere. Large bar area with TVs. Margaritas were amazingly delicious, nice size & reasonably priced compared to other restaurants. Carne asada was delicious, reforestation beans & rice. My husbands dish molcajete Jalisco was good too. Lots of meat shrimp and veggies also with sides of retried beans and rice, tortillas too. Try it yuh won’t be disappointed.

1) The restaurant is safe from a Covid19 standpoint. good spacing, hand sanitizer, staff in masks, individually wrapped silverware, guests put own leftovers in container
2) food is good, big portions. Burro Chile Verda full of large chunks of pork
3) Great people. I ordered take out from wrong location. They refused my offer to pay for first order and pay for the second one made at the locations I was at. Remade the order, only charged for one. Class act

I've been to this location four or five times in the last six years, and every time I'd only had two for one happy hour margaritas. The tortilla chips and salsa are great, so I'd never had a problem.
This time though, I'd come early for happy hour and drinks were full price. I also had not eaten the night before so I ordered lunch-chimichanga with ground beef. I've been in more than a few chain Mexican places in the past, from Chi-chi's back in the day to most of the current chains across the country. Believe me when I say this is not one of the better places to eat Mexican food. The refried beans were seemingly out of a can, dry and tasteless. The rice needed spices and was very dry. The chimichanga was loosely constructed, with tasteless ground beef and a lack of anything memorable inside. Despite being overly hungy, I barely touched any of it.
Tacos, enchiladas and many other items populate the menu, so though I think it unlikely, there might be a gem here.
They are a chain across the country, so there may be variations and I just hit a bad one. But this time, even the margaritas were disappointing in plastic disposable cups instead of their normal glasses. The five gallon jug of glowing green margarita mix inadvertently left on the counter kiboshed any love once had for their cocktails.
The chips, however, were excellent. My advice is avoid for dinner at all times until you try it once at lunch.

Arrived at 6.15 hoping for a light meal with a friend before going to listen to music elsewhere. My friend & I decided to share fajitas. When ordering asked that the peppers be excluded from the dish. Over 30 mins after ordering our dinner still hadn’t” arrived, yet the man on the next table who had arrived 30 mins after us had already been served. The server said the dinner was coming. It finally arrived at 7.30 loaded with peppers. As soon as the server saw the look on my face she said “oh you didn’t want peppers!!”, when the food finally arrived there were only 3 tiny tortillas for the two of us, so I asked if we could have 3 more. The server said that will be an upgrade. I said surely you’re not going to charge us extra for 3 tiny tortillas when we’ve now waited for over an hour. The tortillas never arrived & I asked to speak to the manager about out experience, he was extremely rude from the outset & said that the reason that other people that had come into the restaurant 30 mins after us & had been served, was because different meals take different times to prepare. He was aggressive & had not a word of apology. I said that as the extra tortillas hadn’t arrived I wasn’t able to finish the meal, he said “oh you want a free meal do you” if you eat that you’ll pay for it. I didn’t eat the rest of the meal which was cold by this time, yet when the bill arrived he’d charged us for everything. We queried with the server that we’d been charged for the full meal, so the manager reappeared & snatched the bill off me & shouted don’t ever come back!! It was 8.15 by this time. I have had many enjoyable evenings at the restaurant over the years & obviously never experienced anything like this before.

My wife and I grabbed dinner here while visiting the area recently. There is ample free off-street parking and all of the employees were friendly and attentive. Our server was excellent and he made sure that all of our needs were met. My wife said that her carnitas was one of the best she had ever had and my steak burrito was also very good. They have a lot of combination entrees however, if you want to order something like a burrito ala carte, they have absolutely no problem with that. I would highly recommend this place for a decent meal in the Bonita Springs area.

Food has always been good. Disappointed when charged extra for additional salsa and tortillas. Asked the server, well we only provide 3 tortillas per person, WHY? The salsa they give you a dish of hot and a dish of mild. If you are going to charge for extra, maybe ask what the customers want first, then you wouldn't waste as much.
If you are going to charge extra, maybe your servers should let people know. Just a thought.

Our expectations were low, we’ve eaten at a lot of average Mexican restaurants. Everything was amazing we actually went back a second time on a 5 night stay. Awesome salsa bar

We live down the street full time and frequently go here, maybe once a month. The food is always great. The service is pretty good. Last night? It was very crowded and the wait was 30 minutes so we found two seats at the bar, which we never mind. The bar was about half full. The lone bartender was probably the worst bartender we’ve ever experienced. Every one at the bar agreed. It was hard getting his attention and he had a MAJOR ATTITUDE the whole night. Honestly? If I was the manager last night? He would have been fired on the spot. The worst “customer service” we’ve ever had.

I just wanted to do a follow up review. I had rated this restaurant high several months ago, since then we've been back and it was a totally different experience. For one, the prices are insane, I could not believe how high they went up. It was $20 for a cup of soup! No kidding. All the menu items went up and the food quality has dropped, service not as good as first visit. Our bill was over $60 for two of us. We wanted to leave once we seen the menu prices but we had already ordered drinks (soda), we had no alcoholic beverages. We will not be going back. This is price gouging! We will look for another Mexican restaurant. Very disappointed. Maybe it changed hands since first visit.

Enjoyed a beef chimichanga lunch special with beans and rice. Also ordered guacamole. Food came quickly and was good quality. The atmosphere followed the theme and was bright and clean.

My friend and I were visiting from out of town and decided we wanted some good Mexican food. We read reviews and decided to try Senor Tequila's. There was a nice crowd, which is always a good sign that the food is tasty. We were seated immediately at a booth and served complimentary chips and salsa. Our server, Geronimo was super nice and efficient. I observed that all patrons were certainly having a good time. Our entrees were served hot and fresh and the sangria was great. I would definitely dine here again if I am in the area.

Not terribly busy so we were seated quickly and well attended to.
Two lime margaritas, one draft beer, shrimp fajitas and grouper sandwich. Total $46.
Food and drinks were tasty.
Couldn't fault it.,

Mexican Food, sometimes good, sometimes not so good. We went there some years ago and didn't go back till we decided to try it again. We liked it. My quesadilla was very good. We went again a few months later, disappointed again.
