This is an interesting location.
Wyld's Cafe is set in a strip mall and the entrance is actually in the back of the building by the parking lot. Don't let this distract you from the quality of the food or the knowledge of the waitstaff. Also, know ahead of time that restaurant only serves wine or beer, no cocktails.
That being said, everyone's reviews were helpful in our food choices.
The bread that starts off the meal is delicious.
I started with a glass of Shooting Star Zinfandel that was excellent!
For apps we ordered the Crunchy Tuna and the Calamari. The Tuna is served over fried wontons, fresh tuna and crunchy wontons, so delicious. And the Calamari is flash fried and then simmered in a sauce that is just bursting with flavor.
For entrees, we did the Grouper-very good, the Hogfish-also very good and I had the Halibut special, I was disappointed. The fish was fresh, but it was supposed to be topped with crabmeat and mine was not. It was basically Halibut with a white wine butter sauce and not a ton of flavor. I think everything prior was so full of flavor, I was expecting the Halibut to also, especially since it was one of the most expensive entrees. I would have gone with my husbands Hogfish...skip the the Halibut special.

As Arnold says I’ll be back. This restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside but if I were to run a restaurant this is how I would do it no happy hour specials no drink specials limited hours good food straight forward presentation what do you see is what you get and what you see and what you get is good. We had the fish special we had the lamb shank Both were excellent we an excellent server Morgan we had a bottle wine $32
It was very good our total bill was around 100 bucks we didn’t have an appetizer we actually took food home my only complaint if I had one would be the Host A young man was somewhat rude but I still gave a five star and I will go back because the food was excellent and that steak really looked good and I’m gonna have to try it next time

We really enjoyed our dinner here. This is an unassuming cafe and we almost missed it as we didn't see the sign. The wait staff were wonderful and food very good. We'd recommend the walleye over the salmon and too we loved the bread and mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes!

We have been going here since it opened. We have brought numerous guest too. We have always had a nice experience until the other night. WEboth ordered the 10 oz filet ($100.00) . We had eaten the 2 small slices of bread we each received before our meal. When the waiter came I asked if we could have a little more with dinner to which he replied "there is an extra charge now " I was flabbergasted. $100.00 worth of food and $20.00 in Apps, and 2 glasses of wine and you want to charge me for 20 cents worth of bread!!! NEVER had this happen even at a cheap restauant. As usual it was blamed on Covid. The portions were smaller and we couldn't eat the vegetables because they were raw. After 16 years we will not return. We are full time people who ate here all the time.

Six of us had dinner at Wyld's last week. We all ordered different items, from the special specials to regular menu items such as lamb shank and duck pasta. Everyone was so impressed by the service, food, and ambiance. One person who had never eaten at Wyld's said it was his best experiences in SW Florida. We can hardly wait to go back. By the way, Wyld's exceeds CDC guidelines for safety. Tables set wide apart, all servers with masks, etc.

Amazing food. Incredible service by KC. Who is masked. As is the host.
It is now 6 pm and there are only two tables in this huge resturant. Please come. These people are amazing. Come to support them. Tonight I had black grouper that was so delicate and tasteful not to be out done by the smashed potatoes. and my husband had the duck breast that was so moist and delicious. He is a German butcher and very particular. The Bread pudding was a hit covered with caramel sauce. His appetizer was the the crunchy tuna which was one of the best tuna preps that he has tasted. Yum. Thank you.

My husband and I tried this place for dinner because of the good ratings. The restaurant is in a small strip mall with the entrance at the rear, but there didn't seem to be signage at the front to indicate how to enter. Although the lighting is suitable for dining, the interior is a bit like a carpeted cafeteria.
The waitstaff was friendly and we were seated promptly. We were asked if we had reservations (we did not). Menu choices are interesting but vegan options are few. I ordered the butternut squash soup with creme fraiche and crouton on the side, which was delicious. My husband had the house salad to start, and it was quite large and tasty.
I tried the only vegetarian entree, which was basically a combination of side dishes: quinoa with cranberries (rather bland and uninteresting) and sautéed julienned vegetables (zucchini, summer squash, and carrots) with a side of steamed carrots. Way too many carrots! I mentioned this to the waitress when she stopped by later and she did offer to bring something else. By that point, I didn't wish to delay our meal any longer. My husband fared better with the maple-glazed salmon, which also came with the steamed carrots and mashed sweet potatoes. He didn't care for the sweet potatoes, but I thought they were not too bad. We felt the meals were a bit overpriced.
We've had many lunch and dinner experiences during our stay in the area, but this was our least favorite thus far. Not terrible, but not great.

I’m 62 years old and based on our dinner tonight, this restaurant served one of my top five all time meals. I had the Kurobuta pork chop. I’m thinking of buying a farm to raise Berkshire pigs. This is 1000 times better than any pork you have ever eaten. My wife had the 5 Oz. Tenderloin Saga. Again, better than 95% of the steaks we have eaten. The crepe brûlée for dessert was magnificent and the wine list offers reasonably priced top shelf wines by the glass. If you ever go to Bonita Springs, plan your visit to have dinner at Wylds Cafe.

We have driven by this non-descript building hundreds of times and finally chose to try it for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. They accept reservations (which is a plus during snowbird season) and the inside is so much nicer than the outside. Our server, Lem, was helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was outstanding. Don’t miss the calamari and save some room for the Crepe Brûlée for dessert! Cannot wait to go back and will be recommending it to all (ok, only to the people we like).

We visited this restaurant recently on a Friday evening. Interior is dark and musty spelling. Could you a little updating inside! I ordered the grouper and my husband had the hog fish. Grouper ok, but hog fish was very bland and small portion. Each entree was served with smashed potatoes and vegetables. The vegetables were almost raw…supposed to be tender crisp but not cooked well.

I love this place — cheerful & talented staff, great food, quiet setting. The chef focuses upon a smaller menu, but there is something for everyone — fish, scallops, shrimp, red meat, vegetarian— and much is gluten free. Good apps & desserts, too. (Only wine & beer though)
We have never had a bad meal here, nor questionable service. I’ve enjoyed Wyld’sCafe each of my last 4 winters down here, and my friends rave about it.

My wife and I are finishing our stay in Bonita beach. We just had our 3rd dinner at Wyld's Cafe, and continue to be amazed. Each dinner has been a fine dining experience at the exceptional level, all driven by the preparation of each appetizer, entree, and dessert. The atmosphere is not glitzy, but when you start eating, that won't matter a bit. The chef has got to be a star because so many dishes have a unique presentation, even the escargot, and all are delicious. We are heading back for a final dinner at Wyld's this coming weekend.

My wife and I have dined in Venice, Tuscany, Rome, Paris, and throughout the USA. We moved to Ft. Myers in 2018 and when our adult children visited (one is a culinary chef), we finally had an excuse to visit Wyld's. Wow! A truly exquisite experience from start to finish. Small but exceptional wine list. We all tried different appetizers and entrees and not a single one was anything but amazing. Great service, great food, great experience.

First time here, but won't be the last. My husband and I, originally from the NYC area, have lived in Naples for nearly 10 years now, but had never tried this restaurant. And now it is unquestionably my favorite. Food was delicious from start to finish. Service was impeccable. And Covid responsible. Can't wait to go back!

This restaurant is in a small strip mall that would be very easy to overlook. Trip advisor led us here during a work conference for my husband. It’s a smaller space with somewhat dated decor and was very hot inside while we were in there, but let me tell you… the food was out of this world. We had the shrimp & lobster risotto and the filet - both cooked to perfection in tantalizing cream sauces. We shared a bottle of wine and finished with the crepe brûlée. A combo of crème brûlée and a crepe. This is probably the best dessert I’ve ever had. GET IT. the service was also fantastic. Don’t miss this place!!! You won’t regret it!!
