Vickie, our waitress, was top notch. We ordered a grouper and shrimp combo for $20. We split, which the restaurant charges $2.50. It was fine we each received our own cold slaw and fries. Shrimp and grouper were lightly breaded. Delicious! The shrimp and corn...soup was average.More

Great spot to eat, the best taco salad I think I've ever had in my entire life. Delicious drinks from the bar, friendly service, too.

I have never been spoken to or treated so poorly. I certainly understand busy, but to be walked passed by three waitresses multiple times, never acknowledged we were waiting, just told to move out of the way and find a table (there were none), and...rudely told us we could not go inside. Bathrooms for the restaurant, four doors down and you have to get a key from your waitress. We didn’t have a waitress yet but the one I asked immediately told me she had given her key to her customers. We left, unnoticed I’m sure. Highly recommend skipping the Loose Caboose.More

Just stopped to have lunch because we were starving. We couldn’t find the restaurant I googled but we didn’t care. They have a nice outside and cute inside dining area, or waitress Patty was super nice. I had an awesome grouper sandwich and my husband...had the best ever cheese fries with steak on it. We will definitely go back her again.More

Probably the best part of this restaurant is the people watching while eating lunch outside. Food is great. I had the soup and salad special. Ask for the strawberry vinegarette dressing. It’s the best. The clam chowder is a perfect lunch item even if it...taste like a lot of other clam chowders you may have. But make sure you check out the inside. It’s amazing. Lots of history and cool funky items. Prices are reasonable. And the service is excellent.More

Our old mid-town haunt has changed its evening menu to try to compete with the high end restaurants in Boca Grande. Gone white tablecloth and prices to match but forgot you have to serve great food to command $30 to $40 entree prices. Kitchen has...failed in their attempt at least for our table of four. Best thing we enjoyed was two bottles of wine. Seafood pot pie was undercooked with a circle of phylo dough comprising the idea of pot. The chicken entree was edible but very modestly so. All in all a big disappointment for our table of four. If you can’t execute in the kitchen go back to a more local modest menu. Sorry but others need to knowMore

Three of us ate here and each had something different - Cuban panini, tuna salad sandwich, and cranberry walnut salad with a scoop of cranberry chicken salad on top. All of the dishes were delicious! To top it off our waitress, Patty, was outstanding. I'm...definitely putting this place on my list for return trips. Don't forget they have limited hours.More
