2 stars Splurge gone wrong. I ordered the crab linguini with “white sauce” (sub whole wheat pasta). I got crab meat swimming in butter with some pasta thrown in. Either they forgot the white sauce or “white sauce” is a euphemism for a ton of...butter. Very disappointed. The pizza was good but not the best I’ve had. It’s the only reason there’s more than 1 star.More

While we're glad that you enjoyed your pizza, we wish we could've done more to make your experience better. There is no butter used for white wine sauce, we use starch, the quantity of butter in the starch used in one dish is less than...More

It took a lot of courage for this old gal but my first takeout was to Mazzela’s .. I live in Downingtown, PA and came here about twice a month .. was finally in withdrawal .. placed my order for Penne Vodka and Chicken Parm...when I was about twenty minutes from the restaurant .. had a short wait but I expected that. I cannot tell you how good the food was .. we always get enormous portions but if possible, this was even larger! Felt safe and confident with my order. Packed safely with everything wrapped in plastic wrap to prevent any leaks. Food was PERFECT! Our meals were still hot enough to enjoy after the nearly 25 mile drive home .. can’t wait to do it again .. not quite ready for dine in yet but I’m sure they are doing everything to keep their customers safe .. BRAVO Mazzella’s ..More

A girlfriend invited me to Mazella's for drinks and a pizza on a lazy Monday night. The TV was on, but not loud, allowing us and the other patrons the ability to get to know each other. Elle - the delightful bartender waited on us...at the bar. Her bright personality was a bonus. We ordered beer and pizza and stayed for about an hour. I'm not a pizza snob, so I'm not the best reviewer for its quality, but it was hot and tasty for me. We both ate a few pieces and had a couple leftover. Nice place - I imagine we'll come back again.More

A group of 12 women visited yesterday Jan. 29th. I had the lunch portion lasagne. It was good but barely warm. I want to commend Lidia. She was so polite and patient. She is just an outstanding server. We have eaten at Mazella's many times...and had to deal with a very miserable older waitress. This was such a pleasant change. We had several parties in the past held in the back room. Now they want $200 to rent the room. Too high of a price for senior citizens.More

When we want pizza we go to Mazzell's. Both types of pizza are delicious, but we love the Sicilian. The crust is perfect; crisp, but still easy to chew! They have lots of specialty types of pizza and toppings!

I love going to this restaurant. I have never sat down and ate inside, but looking in. everyone looks happy and seems to be enjoying their food. I like take out and I have never had an issue with their food. Customer service is excellent,...the young man and the ladies make you feel like your are a put of the family. I love the service and everything that I have ordered is excellent especially the pizza and the salads are out of this world. Try this restaurant once and you will keep coming.More

I never write reviews, but I have to write this one! We had a family party last night in the private dinjng room and there were 30 participants. Everything...everything was exceptional! From the initial phone calls with Mimmo and Giacomo to arrange the affair to...the party itself was handled so well, so effortlessly...they knew what we wanted and knew how to handle a big crowd. The room and table setting were very nice....food was excellent, as was the service. Well over abundant appetizers, entrees, salad, cannolli for dessert. My gosh, everyone even thought the coffee was great! I want to thank everyone at Mazzella’s...the welcome, the food, very reasonable prices, the service... everything was perfect. Highly recommend!!!! THANK YOU!!!More

We were there on Sunday to celebrate belated Mother’s Day. It was late and the place was not crowded at all. In the past we never had any issues at this restaurant, however, Sunday night was the exception. A male brought our drinks and told...us our waitress was going to be with us shortly. Well, that did not happen. After 15 minutes, I called another waitress asking her to send our waitress as we were ready to order. She went to the kitchen and cane back after a couple of minutes saying she was taking our order as our waitress was having issues at the kitchen. The appetizers were fine - as usual. The Caesar Salad was terrible, a lot of croutons and not enough lettuce. The Shrimp Fra Diablo was terrible, they just put regular tomato sauce on it, nothing spicy. The sauce actually tasted sweet. Shrimps are called Fra Diablo for a reason, the ones they gave me should have been called Shrimps a la Angel or something like that! We also had the Penne Vodka, it did not look the same as other times. There was not enough sauce on it and it was dry. The waitress never came back to our table to check on us or give us refills. I had to call her twice. We were actually wondering where the Latino waitresses were as they have always been really good and worked really hard. I had to call the waitress and let her know about the Shrimp fra Diablo been sweet, she took it back to the kitchen, then she came back and told me that they changed the sauce because people complaint about the sauce been too spicy. Well, if they decided to change the sauce, shouldn’t you mention that on the menu or at least ask the costumer how spicy you want the sauce? I took the shrimps home. When I got home I tried the shrimps and they tasted exactly the same (sweet) except I could tell they added hot pepper flakes to give a hot kick. I was disgusted. I returned the shrimps to the waitress hoping they will make it right, sautéed the right sauce and bring a new dish. Obviously that did not happen. All of us were talking in the car about the poor experience we had, we probably will not go back to this restaurant.More
