Great evening for an anniversary dinner with my wife. Great food and excellent service. Our server was very knowledgeable of the various menu items and gave us excellent advice when we had questions. We had the 4 course Bigger Fondue dinner. A word of advice...go hungry because you definitely get your money’s worth.More

We frequent The Melting Pot several times a year for birthdays and while vacationing in South Carolina. We have never been disappointed. The staff in Wilmington, DE and SC are always welcoming and attentative. On two occasions once in SC and DE we had new...servers. Each of them were well trained and performed as though they have been there forever. We like The Melting Pot especially because all staff from beginning to end work together to make our dining experience enjoyable. They go above and beyond adding their special touches to our celebrations. One last note, the DE establishment had a new manager whom introducted himself and obviously made changes that were clearly visible to us. Kudos to Alex, Ravin, & Sha!!More

Took our son for a birthday dinner as Melting Pot is one his favorites. We usually go to a different location but went to instead this time. We had a really nice meal until the main course was complete. Our waitress came and took our...dessert order but left all the dirty dishes. And then we sat, it took 30 to 40 minutes for her to come back and clear the table. It then was about 20 minutes or so more till the dessert came. The group at the table across from us finished their meal about the same time. They were finished their dessert about the same time our table was cleared. The meal was nice and the waitress was nice until the dessert. It was like she had a break and no one else was around to help. The only other issue was they did try and sit us in a three quarter empty restaurant next to a party of about 20 preteens having a birthday party. They didn't seem to like moving us around, maybe that should have been a clue.More

The Melting Pot is a unique experience to start, but this staff knows how to make your visit special. We were celebrating two birthdays on this visit, which I let them know when I made the reservations. Well, we got a birthday card signed by...the staff and plenty of well wishes. That's a nice touch. You have plenty of options on the menu, but I recommend the four-course approach. Start with choice of cheese fondue -- we went the traditional route. If you need more dippers, just ask. The second course is a salad, which is refreshing after all that cheese. Then, you have your entree, and you can select from a number of different proteins, seasonings and broths. You can also cook vegs like potatoes, broccoli and mushrooms -- again, if you want more vegs, just ask. The closer course is chocolate fondue, and they have several options there, too. This is a great place if you want to make any meal special.More

The food was good, but the service was terrible especially for it being an expensive restaurant! We got seated at 8:25 and we're not greeted by a waitress until 8:45. Took 15 minutes for us to get glasses of water and order our meals. A...couple that was seated right across from us 20 minutes after we were seated got served right away and left almost 30-40 minutes before we did. We did not leave until 10:40 at night right before closing. This is ridiculous! Our waitress didn't even come up to check on us as we ate or ask if we wanted refills. In addition, we had a friend who needed special food accommodations and they did not even try to fulfill those special food accommodations we had kindly asked for. Honestly, would not recommend this location to anyone if the service is this terrible. Just not worth it the price.More

The Melting Pot is one of my teen son's favorite restaurants, so we celebrated his birthday and mine there. It's funny how much fun you can have cooking your own meal. Kudos to the staff -- they know how to make your visit special. We...even received a birthday card signed by all the staff. The menu has changed in the last year -- looks like a few more adventurous options. But we stayed true to tradition. We loved the four-course meal, which includes a cheese fondue made at table, salad, entree (lots of choices of different proteins and even a vegetarian option), and chocolate fondue. Dinner took two hours, but that's part of the experience. You're not rushed and never felt like we were waiting.More

My wife and I love this place so much and the food is always amazing. The cheese fondue is delicious and they give you different things to dip in it and they make it right in front of you which I love. The strawberry pecan...salad is yummy and the strawberries were fresh. We ordered filet, Cajun shrimp, and lobster tail and they were all so great and we were so full we felt like we were going to fall asleep right at the table how stuffed we were. For dessert we ordered Pure Milk Chocolate fondue and that just made my entire night. The service is always great so I always make sure to tip 20%. I also always make a reservation online before coming even though it’s never been super full when I’ve come since I love coming later in the night. I will definitely be returning for another date night.More

My 6 year old and I had a fabulous time eating at this establishment. Fun and entertaining. We shared a cheese fondue, he had the kids meal variety of chicken, steak and pork and I had the adult variety version of shrimp, steak two ways,...pork and chicken. We ended with the s’mores chocolate fondue. Absolutely delicious, all of it including the sauces that go with each meat/vegetable. Great friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fantastic evening.More

This was my first experience at the Melting Pot. We were celebrating my Grandson's Birthday. Our server was wonderful, explaining each course.
