The Chelsea is popular with patrons who are going to the Grand Opera House, as it us directly across the street from the Grand. That being said, it is always crowded the night of a show. Reservations are a must, if you are seeing a show later. If you are a vegetarian such a s myself, prepare to be disappointed.... More

Decided to dine at Chelsea Tavern on a whim. Great place and great service. Food was very well prepared. We really liked the loaded Brussels sprouts. I know what your thinking, just give them a try. Great beer selection, we would definitely stop in again when we are in the area.

My wife had a Crab Cake special and I had Oven Roasted Organic Salmon. Both were nicely designed dinners but, when we started eating, it was TOO SALTY to eat. We had no choice but to at least eat enough to hold us for the evening at the theater; but, we were both "dosed" with salt, too much salt, on... More

Ordered the sweet corn bisque and it was delicious! The wine and beer list was HUGE - many great options.

We came for dinner because we were going to a show at The Grand. We had reservations two days in advance. The original table we were given was postage stamp size and next to a table of eight loud and celebrating people (next to as in two feet). After refusing the table we were given a booth. I ordered a... More

This is one of the few open places in desolate downtown Wilmington on a Sunday, and is directly across from the Grand Opera House. I made an Open Tables reservation for one with an hour’s notice for 90 minutes before my show, mentioning that I can’t sit on barstools. When I arrived they said they had the reservation but no... This tavern is located directly across the street from the Grand Opera House. The drinks were a bit weak but the food was very good especially the special sauces. Eat before the show so you can take advantage of the Happy Hour Menu because prices go up after the show. Bartenders were cool hangout people but the drinks could have... More

Stopped in around 2pm midweek with a few friends. We were all interested in a burger-and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and attentive; the burgers were delicious. We need to go back for dinner.

6 of us dined at the Chelsea before taking in a show at The Grand. The food -yum amazing beet salad and burgers cooked to perfection - we had let our waiter know that we had tickets and needed to dine and have time to get to the show. The entire wait staff catered to us and really made for... More

The place is across the street from the Opera House, where we were going to a show. Had a reservation and we were seated as soon as we arrived. We were seated downstairs in the beer cellar. It was a different, but good experience. The waitress was attentive and pleasant. The scallops and risotto was delicious as was the fish... More
