With a hankering for Italian dishes we made a trip to Sal's in Seaford DE. We got a pair of meals, fettuccine Alfredo and raviolis with meatballs. With a busy schedule we also got a pizza with half sausage to go. The meals were excellent and the large pizza filled the need for several more meals. Some of the local pizza shops serve a pizza with oil dripping off the slices but Sal's use of higher quality ingredients does not exhibit the excessive oil. The tomato sauce also does not bother sensitive stomachs. The salads were fresh, and delicious. Our server was sharp, on the ball, and very productive in getting our meal to us.

If you stop into Sal's be sure to say hi to Salvatore Carannante I don't think there has been a time in the last 25 years when I have gone in there for a pizza or a cheesesteak where I haven’t seen him working in the kitchen! Sal's is a classic (and classy) family restaurant located at 1018 W Stein Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973 in the Nylon Capital Shopping Center. Authentic Italian cuisine is something many try, and fail to replicate. Sal's does the best job of providing their customers with the full Italian experience. Not only is their restaurant a comfortable environment, but this is also some of the best Italian food available in the area. Regardless if you stop in for lunch or dinner you won't be disappointed! The pizza is always hot and fresh! The staff is always super friendly! Sal's food is well-prepared with the flavors always consistent and balanced. Every time one returns, it is consistent and fabulous, no matter what you order. The food is always plated perfectly and served in a timely fashion. So, if you are new to the area, on vacation, driving through, and looking for a restaurant this is the place for you. They have an extensive menu so don't worry there is something for everyone!

I’m sure everyone understands the kind of food served at an Italian Restaurant. I dare you to find a better Italian Restaurant within 50 miles of Seaford, DE, maybe even farther! Excellent selection, and the quality is superb! One of my favorites is the Sausage Parm Sub! Delicious!! Visit and enjoy! I have been a customer of Sal’s since he opened! Visit…you can’t go wrong!!

This is from just last night on Nov 09, Now normally my wife and I just order pizza from Sal's and to this day there chefs kiss perfect. But today I was different it's my wife's birthday and she wanted something fresh, cooked by someone with a heart for good food and customer service. So we opted for Sal's dinner . Total 67.$$for 2 dinners,2 side salads,6 knotts, sm zeppoles, a single slice chocolate moose 🫎. Now 2 dinners from a pizza shop 70 bucks now ... So I get the Fettuccine Bolognese I open the lid and you can see in the pick it's all pasta with these small dots of what I hope is ground beef because I'm telling you now my Nona would not hv a nice thing to say .. 65 dollars for 2 pasta dishes and can't give a little bit more meat .. ?????? REALLY!!!! So my Wife gets the Capellini Adriatiche it's her birthday and we all know we can't hv seafood all the time not us anyway I'm disabled and of course that puts us on a budget to maintain anyways, first impression Wow the smell the shrimp big plump and crunchy as fresh shrimp cooked right shoul hv . Then we look on at the delectables and looking at the scallops (side note I'm retired sous chef, certified nutritionist, registered dietitian, restaurants owner) I know scallops .. there bay scallops and sea scallops that r the main two offered to restaurants with others available but u get the basics .. So we noticed the scallops aren't whole and there not the small cheaper bay scallop so if it's diced sea scallops I tell my wife it's not necessarily a bad thing but when I looked around I got MAYBE 2 but I don't think so , 1 scallop was diced and put in the dish and when u pay nearly 70 dollars for spaghetti you want top toppings to be were the Value is so when you cook anything and I freaking mean anything with crab meat it's put on the dish last and on top so the customer feels they got what they paid for .... Now being a Chef I can still look at this dish and I don't care how much or how little it got mixed up I can still tell you if it's an ounce or 2 or less of the crab meat ., and there's barely a pinch used ... And I haven't gotten to the garlic knots there hard, dense, solid rocks of dough, again my Nona would be not only disappointed but embarrassing and ashamed .the Zepps were doughy like raw still a little and jus thrown together..... Powdered sugar is the way to go ... But hey if 70$$ for some noodles and hard bread on ur wifes 50th birthday 🎂 is ur cup of tea then ur experience would be better than ours so to each there own .. but this is not how Italians eat and I guarantee you if any one of us went to Sal's home to eat pasta bolognese I guarantee you there will be bolognese in the pasta.. that is Nona would be proud of so I don't understand why you wouldn't give it to his customers.

I really like Sal’s pizza but decided to try something different today. I ordered “veal saltinbocca” - veal, ham, mushrooms and cheese with spaghetti. The only good part of the meal was the spaghetti. The piece of veal was like shoe leather. I could hardly cut it so I just gave up on it. On top of the veal was a very thin slice of ham with a thin slice of cheese melted on it. Nothing to write home about. Pretty disappointed.

After checking into our hotel, we wanted to get something to eat and chose this place based off reviews. We arrived about 6:30pm on a Tuesday. It is located within a small strip mall that for the most part looked unoccupied during our visit. Because we visited during covid they had limited seating available but it was not too busy inside. There were about 5 other tables occupied but there seemed to be a lot of people coming and going for take out orders as well. The inside looks very traditional but appeared very clean and was comfortable. The menu is extensive and is sure to feature something for everyone at your table. Erin took great care of us and was helpful and friendly. My wife ordered the chicken and broccoli fettuccine and I chose the Italian Boli. We couldn't resist ordering garlic bread with mozzarella cheese appetizer and a side of marinara as well to dip. My wifes house salad and the garlic mozzarella cheese bread appetizer arrived first and we dug in. Both were perfect. Our entree orders arrived in a timely manner and looked delicious and tasted equally as great. We both commented multiple times on just how delicious everything tasted. The regular size boli was huge and I took half back to the hotel for leftovers. At the hotel, I kept thinking about the boli and how good it was. Sal's was a great find - if you are in the area we would recommend you check them out!

Sal's consistently has the best pizza in the Seaford area. They also have my favorite beverage to go with their great pizzas, Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer. Prices are average for pizza in this area. Hopefully, Sal's will survive the construction project that is currently going on in that shopping center that is moving along at a snail's pace. From what I've heard, Sal's will be one of the few businesses there that is not some kind of medical office.

Huge selections of pizza and all other Italian foods. Consistently great food and takeout. Friendly service, spotlessly clean. No other Italian restaurant in lower Delaware can compare!

There is no other place in Seaford to go for the best pizza in Seaford. It can become busy at times but well worth the wait.

Food is good with large portions. Friendly staff. The fresh bread is amazing! If you remember the scene from ratatouille where they explain how you tell what good bread is but not by the smell, but by the sound of the crunch. This is that bread. This last visit I had a salad.

The pizza is excellent. The crust is not too thick but not too thin either. Just right. Always generous with the toppings. Pasta dinners are huge and very good. Service is wonderful. Ask for Candy- she's the best!

I recently moved back to Seaford after living in Dover for 8 yrs. I missed alot of things that I love about this area while I was in Dover. Sal's was very high on the list. I have been a patron since this establishment first opened and they have never disappointed me in the 30 yrs. that they have been opened! The food is authentic and made with pride and the staff are friendly and courteous. Those of you on a budget can enjoy dinner out for a price that won't hurt your wallet. Sal (yes he's a real person and actually cooks) is a very friendly man and he loves to interact with his customers! His cheese steaks are some of the best in the area and his pizza is very good too! You can't go wrong at Sal's!!
