Very good chinese cuisine

"Fine cuisine" and "Chinese restaurants" may seem like an oxymoron, but, in this case, their pretty accurate. Of restaurants open in December in Rehoboth, this was surprising in terms of food quality, menu choices, comfort and decor. This restaurant is situated in a lovely townhouse with many... read more

My friend requested to have dinner at Confucius on 1/15/. We arrived at 6:30 a.m. which was the reservation that was established. I ordered dumping, which can cold. My main course of Peking Duck, was the worst I have ever had, the pancakes were cold, and I even requested that the server have them to retreat them, and even then... More

We are beach Regulars and just low this place, if you want cheap chineese food with 100 entres all the same with the exception of your protein choice, this isnt the palce for you. If you want food that is cooked to order, each dish different and extra delicious, then you have found heaven!!!! Also during the off season don't... More

Was anticipating a fantastic dinner. We were very disappointed. The scallion pancakes were dry with no taste and the salmon looked old and dry. Didn't even taste it. My dinner was switched to a higher priced seafood dish and it was okay but I would have preferred the one I wanted. Didn't change it because my husband already had his... More

When Rehoboth Beach slows down to a crawl and many restaurants close in the winter, this place saves the day with exquisite, delicious Chinese that's worth seeking out. When chefs from other Rehoboth restaurants were polled a few years ago about where they go out to eat, many of them mentioned coming here. That was enough to get us in... More

We went here for dinner. What a great meal. Nicely decorated and relaxing. Our server knew the menu and described several dinners. Walnut scallops and shrimp was wonderful. Shrimp fried rice was also very good. Our server was pleasant and kept an eye on us to see if all was good. Not a big place and they get busy. It's... More

I've been there twice. The last time was XMAS and it was very crowded. I walked in after a group of 3 who asked if I'd care to join them as a table for 4 opened up. Very kind. I have problems with dairy and gluten and the server was very helpful with my selection--and recommended the Kung Pao Chicken... More

This place stands out as the area's fine dining Chinese option and, given its unique status, it's a tough bill to fill, but they do it, hence the reputation. Had vegetable dumplings, spicy beef and scallion pancakes for starters, all good. Had crispy noodles, salmon w/black bean sauce and five-spice duck -- all very good. Service, even on a busy... More

My family and I went to dinner here on Christmas Day because our friends keep raving about the place. When we got there the small restaurant was very busy, a good sign for a small business. We were greeted by the hostess and seated pretty quickly, especially for how packed the place was. The food was great and everyone seemed... More

This was a highly rated restaurant, but we experienced something quite different. We started with the thin skin dumplings, which thinking back, were probably the highlight of the meal. Next came the soup. Three of us ordered the wonton soup and one ordered the hot and sour soup. - First, one of our party does NOT eat seafood and asked... More
