I’m not a huge fan of the big name, high end steak houses but seek out independent ones whenever I travel. 1776 filled the bill. They have a wide variety of offerings on the menu, and some very nice wines by the glass. Neither my...wife nor I are big eaters, so we often split an appetizer and entree. They were very accommodating. We had the “scallop chips” as an appetizer, which were interesting and quite tasty, and the filet mignon trio with an add-on lobster tail as our entree. The steaks were cooked perfectly, as was the lobster. Our server, Alex was perfect. He was there when we needed him, very friendly, and well versed as to the menu offerings. And the creme brûlée dessert put the meal over the top. We will definitely go again next time we’re in Rehoboth. .More

We've been going here for more than 25 years. After all these years, the quality and service have never slipped. Crab cakes and sides delicious. The filet perfectly cooked, as requested. Fresh rolls served hot from oven (not reheated), stellar service. Serving team very attentive....No room for dessert. So happy to see they were busy. Looking forward to our next visit. Table for four. 8/11/20 5:45 pm.More

It was our first night dining here . When we pulled up at strip mall did not know what to expect . When doors opened to restaurant it was absolutely beautiful. Our waiter Alex was so attentive. He made the night great . Steak was...outstanding . A little pricey but well worth it .More

Our dinner was excellent, service attentive without hovering. Only concern is that while tables may be 6 feet apart, seating is much closer. We were happy to have been seated in a corner where we felt safely distanced from other diners

When I want a good steak, this is my go to place. Very pricey, so I save it for occasional dining. Usually I go here solo, and chat with a very friendly and attentive bartender while I eat. Highly recommend for special occasions. Nice high...end environment but no outdoor seating.More

We had a wonderful meal at 1776 Steakhouse. The tables were properly spaced apart, and the staff was wearing masks. Alex was a very good waiter. He was attentive and took good care of us. We also appreciated the manager, Tom, stopping by our table...to check in. Our meals were delicious! Even though we were quite full, we enjoyed some amazing desserts. We look forward to returning soon!More

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Food was great from beginning appetizers (oysters!!), steak was amazing and creme brûlée and key lime pie were perfection. Would highly recommend and if we visit again, we'll be sure to make this another night out. Service was also great.

We ordered and picked up a delicious dinner from one of our favorite restaurants. We were sorry we could not stay and enjoy the ambiance and our normal company but the meal was excellent - just as we always expect and appreciate. Filet, perfectly done...vegetables, scallop chips all delicious. We are happy to be able to support 1776 and look forward to the time when we can have the whole experience again.More

We arrived and was greeted quite graciously by the hostess who sat us upon arrival.(We did have reservations) Our waitress was quite knowledgeable and attentive all thru our stay. My husband had the rack of lamb which he loved; I had the 1776 filet which...was cooked perfectly! The sides that came with our main course were delicious as well. Nice atmosphere to enjoy a wonderful meal have a cocktail or glass of wine (which the wine list is extensive) and just relax. 1776 is loved by locals as well as visitors, so if in Rehoboth Beach; make a reservation and enjoy!More

I suggest you call them at 302-645-9355. I only reviewed my meal there; I don't work there.
