Shorebreak Lodge restaurant is a foodie's delight. Very creative dishes like the Brie and Naan flatbread. I also had the mussels with chorizo sauce and that was amazing since I don't particularly like chorizo but the sauce was fantastic. Even the garlic toast served with...it was not an afterthought - freshly baked baguette toasted right before serving. My husband had the seafood squid ink pasta dish. He thought it was the best version he's ever had. I also really enjoyed the cava I had. Their wine list is topnotch. The blue cheese on the salad was very flavorful. This meal was one of the highlights of our trip. . We were capably served by Stefano. He made sure we were welcomed and had everything we needed, checking on us regularly. He made us feel at home.More

Last night, we had dinner at the Shorebreak for the first time in a while. We were disappointed to find that the service has seriously backslidden to the level of the troubled days when this place first opened. Our reservation was for 7:30, but we...were asked to have a seat at the bar when we arrived. That’s not necessarily a problem, but we did notice that there were at least three other parties waiting for their tables. We ordered some wine and were fine for the 25 minutes it took them to get us a table. Once seated, it took another 10 minutes for our waiter to arrive at the table. By this time, we were ready and ordered wine, appetizers, and our entrees at the same time. It took another 15 minutes for the appetizer to arrive (humus). Good, but how does humus take 15 minutes?? After the appetizer, we waited and waited some more. Eventually, the waiter swung by to ask if we wanted another round of wine. I replied, “no, but some food would be nice.” He said the entries were coming soon and asked if we would like bread. Hungry, we said yes. Our entrees finally arrived a bit after 9 pm. The food was delicious, but this was more than an hour and a half after we arrived. The waiter did ask about another glass of wine, and my partner took him up on it. It arrived right as he was eating the last piece of octopus. I was completely done. This was obviously as the waiter put the glass in the table, but he did not apologize or ask if it was still wanted. (To be fair, during this time, the table next to us revolted, gave up on their entrees ,and asked for the bill instead. This probably distracted him.) The kicker for me was that when I looked at the bill, they had charged us for the bread! Seriously??? It was offered to fill time during a horribly timed meal and you’re charging us? Ridiculous. Final observation…. The Shorebreak has always had an issue with noise. After years of being in business, they have never addressed it. It is seriously LOUD in there. The two hours probably would have been more tolerable didn’t have to shout across the table at each other.More

I had the octopus It .was good but a little salty. The corn soup had little consistency. It would have been nice to have some crusty bread and evoo. I am a cook and baker and have been on TV cooking with my Mom.

Four of us had dinner. The food was good, but the place was noisy and the service was very slow. This may have been because the staff were short-handed, but we were not warned, so wondered what was going on. Water glasses were not filled,...and beer was served in the can with no glass, For a place that advertises itself as a "sophisticated gastropub," this is not what we were expecting.More

We only stopped by here during our weeklong stay as there were so many restaurants to try in the area. But the food and the service were excellent and would have gladly gone back had we stayed in the area longer. We tried a few...things from their happy hour and also the dinner menu. Dishes the we loved were the spicy octopus, chicken wings, scollop, ceviche and shellfish linguine. Our waitress was also lovely.More

Our party of majority POC was sent to the very back of the back part of the restaurant, despite a confirmed reservation and a NOT full restaurant. We had terrible service (we saw our waitress twice in the hour we were waiting for food -...once to place order, once to deliver drinks). We had made Shorebreak a regular over the many years since it's been in Rehoboth, but we will never be back again. I was disgusted with how we were treated.More

Every year, we make sure to enjoy at least 1 meal at The Shore Break when we visit Rehoboth. It is truly the best food in town. We have never had a bad meal, and it has truly been some of the best food we've...ever eaten. With members of my family being both vegetarians and meat eaters, there are plenty of wonderful options for everyone. Thanks for another amazing meal, Shore Break. We can't wait to see you again next year!More

Husband had the halibut for lunch - perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. I had the crab cake with shoestring fries. Tasted like the ocean! One of the better crab cakes on my birthday 'crab cake tour' in Delaware/Maryland. Great service.

The food was good and services was good in the most part. My complaints relate to end of meal service and COVID safety. While my son and I are both vaccinated I reserved a table outside to be extra careful especially with the Delta variant....We were packed in like Sardines with less than 2 feet between each table. It seems greed for money was more important than safety. Then the real kicker came when the waiter kept me waiting 20 minutes to take my credit card. When I tried to hand it to the hostess she was very rude saying “no - give it to your server”. Then I asked her to get him and waited another 10 minutes. This restaurant is typical of a tourist restaurant that charges inflated prices because they can without really caring about their customers.More

Very good food and service in a relaxed beach atmosphere. Service was great and helpful. We shared the mussels and burrata apps to start, both were delicious. Pan seared halibut and scallops with roasted butternut squash were perfectly prepared. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Came for a weekend in Rehoboth and had the most incredible meal here. There were so many great options on the menu the four of us ended up sharing eight different appetizers, and each one was better than the last! Shane was a fantastic waiter...and no one rushed us to finish, which allowed us to really enjoy our meal. I would 100% recommend eating here for some great seafood and even better drinks! Also, do yourself a favor and order the clams...I'm still dreaming about them.More
