Two of us went for an early dinner on Sunday night, based on the recommendation of friends who rave about Sazio. We were seated immediately (reservation) at a lovely table for 4; no crowding or having to wait for a twosome. Tara was an excellent server who knows the food well, and can explain it. We began with the scorched calamari, a welcome change from the usual (and sometimes over-breaded at some restaurants). We continued with the veal chop sazio style. It was huge, delicious and earned a trip home for lunch. Normally we both would have had fish, but the veal was especially recommended by our friends. I had the branzino which was cooked perfectly. Tara asked if everything was prepared as requested. I find that a refreshing change from "How's everything tasting?" We split a tiramisu, and enjoyed two well constructed cocktails. Thanks to Sazio's 25% off special, we paid $108, including tip.

We went for the HH that starts at 5:00. Though drinks aren't necessarily a deal at $1 off, the small bites offered in the bar are very good. We had the 1 lb. kobe meatball which was delicious! Others had the Weds. night chicken parm special which was awesome at $15! The serving was huge, the chicken was tender and the breading was perfect. The drinks, prepared by Hailey, the bartender were spot on. She handled the busy bar very well. Ambiance: newly renovated and cozy. Accoustics:
very good due to the low ceilings. If you wish to get a seat at the bar or on one of the high tops, get there around opening time. Reservations for the small dining room are strongly recommended.

As with many of the restaurants in Rehoboth Beach during the summer, reservations are suggested. My wife and I didn't really know what we wanted to do for dinner, so we had not made any dinner reservation.
My wife called Sazio's and was informed that the were no reservations available until later in the evening, but the restaurant has a bar with about 10 bar stools and 3 or 4 high top tables. These are on a first come first server basis.
We walked over to the restaurant, about 8 minute walk, and there was a high top available, so we were able to sit down with no wait.
We couldn't decide what to order, so the bar tender, who took care of us, made a few suggestions. We decided on a vegetable pizza and Chicken Milanese. Both were excellent. The pizza was flavorful and had fresh vegetables. The chicken milanese was very light. The chicken milanese also came with a choice of a side dish and we ordered Italian green beans which were excellent as well.
We had a few drinks as well. I had a Bloody Mary which was quite good and my wife a drink which she said was good.
The staff is great. They are friendly and really try to accommodate requests.
A good place to go to even if you don't have a reservation.

I've been coming here for a few months and I really loved the food, the staff are usually super friendly, sometimes the chefs wave and say hello. The only issue here is that management treats the employees extremely rudely. I would not normally care enough to write this but this manager (susanne, i think is her name) has been very very rude and trying to go out of her way to assert her authority and humiliate her employees. This really pissed me off last time I was there because the employee she was targeting would always smile and wave, and he really does work very hard to provide friendly and effective service.
Everyone is so extremely stressed and we are all working during a difficult time, there is absolutely NO need for management to NEEDLESSLY add to the stress of their employees. During my last visit, I have experienced the manager really passive aggressively using the microphone to tell an employee off for absolutely no reason. I think it's really rude and disgusting to try and humiliate a person working hard in a heated kitchen ALL day during a pandemic. She belittles her own employees and goes out of her way to humiliate them in front of the customers. I think this is really vile behaviour and I have bit my tongue about it because I loved the food. But as a person who spent years working in a service job, it makes me extremely uncomfortable and extremely anxious to see these kinds of interactions. They bring up really terrible memories and I don't think treating people with courtesy and respect is too much to ask of a MANAGER. I no longer feel comfortable returning to Sazio -- as sad as that is for me.

Beautiful atmosphere and varied menu. I had been here once before and enjoyed the dinner, so decided to return for my Aunt’s birthday dinner. We ordered the shrimp scampi and opted for the zucchini noodles over the pasta to save room for desert. I was disappointed but wasn’t going to say anything. The server asked how everything was and when I said blandly, “ok”, she pushed me to say what I didn’t like. I told her it was bland and flavorless and that I didn’t taste any garlic. She insisted that I let them try to rectify the dish, do we both sent them back. So glad she was on it and insistent. The dishes fetus few minutes later and were wonderful. Great device!

Food was medicore, service was very good. Soon after our party o 5 was seated for an enjoyable evening of dinner celebrating 2 birthdays, a party of 12 was seated next to us. Between the acoustics of the restaurant and their over the top yelling, otherwise apparently their idea of conversation, we could not hear each other and ended up having a horrible evening. The owners need to install acoustical treatments. They also need to limit large parties to an area of the restaurant that can accommodate them and refuse reservations if the only place to sit them is in the dining area with others who are smaller parties and endeavoring to be able to converse and have a nice dinner. We couldnt' get out of there fast enough, and we will be advising others to avoid this restaurant. This was a horribly disappointing evening with loved ones and we resent the seating of the large party, their total insensitivity to others around them, and the failure of the restaurant to make an offer of recompense such as a free bottle of wine or one free dinner. We will never go back and suggest that others not even consider this place.

Ok so the previous restaurant in this space was a staple of old Rehoboth Beach. Italian with house made pasta that melted in the mouth. The only thing I could tell that was home made pasta that wasn’t covered with a red sauce was the tortellini. It was ok but not outstanding. My friend got the veal, really splurged and the pasta wasn’t even warm when it got to the table. Not ok for $49!! And the veal looked overcooked to boot. Good restaurants usually have a standout veal that’s not overbreaded. Like scallopini?
Big fish grill is checking the boxes — Italian restaurant ✅.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner experience at Sazio on Sunday night. Our table was ready exactly when our reservation was scheduled for and the service was exceptional. If you’ve ever dined at one of the Big Fish Group restaurants you know that you will always have consistent, fresh food and friendly, well trained staff and we were not disappointed. We were impressed, but not surprised that they were fully staffed when other places are working short-staffed, they are known for treating and compensating their employees fairly, (something that is important to us). We do recommend that you make reservations.

We are relatively new to the area and have been enjoying the wealth of great restaurants in the area. We have joked that we are losing our collective edge because every meal has been great.Unfortunately, Sazio broke that streak.
Very first impression: on a cold night it was a challenge to navigate the ice around the entry way. Second - it took much to long to have an opportunity to order drinks. They tried to make for the wait with a plate of cut vegetables with a dipping sauce "on the house". I would have rather had a drink,
The time between ordering and the arrival of our drinks was also disappointing. I understand in the time of Covid it is possible to be short staffed, However, that didn't appear to be the case with numerous staff in plain sight. Also, the drinks were smaller than standard.
When our meals finally arrived except for one they were mediocre at best. One in our party found her's inedible. I had the pasta Bolognese - limp, sticky pasta with a sparse application of uninspired tomato sauce and none of the characteristic flavoring meat.
Anyone can have a bad night, I'm afraid the experience was so far below expectations that I wouldn't take a chance when there are so many other choices available.

We were able to reserve a table on the porch for our group of 5 and pleased to be seated a distance from other diners. The service was very good. Our group enjoyed the lobster ravioli, the chicken Parmesan, the manicotti, the vegetarian farmer's plate, and the chicken Marsala which melted in my mouth. Portions were very large, enough to have for lunch the next day!

Our favorite “grown up” restaurant in Rehoboth. Try to hit it on every trip down there during the year. It is hard to get through on the phone to make reservations and I have emailed Suzanne a request a few times and she has always gotten back to me quickly. Appreciate that very much. Food is amazing, sitting out side is amazing, service is amazing. Portions are huge and ended up brining a huge veal cutlet (you get 2 of them with one order) to our front desk buddies at the hotel. Looking forward to next visit.

If we had only one choice to eat at a local restaurant in Rehoboth Beach... It would be Sazio. My wife and I had opportunity to have diner there last Wednesday night and it was one of the most well prepared we had in the last several months. My wife had Eggplant Parmigiana which was freshly prepared and delicious. I had the Swordfish which was the best I had in a long time.

Ate here a couple of nights ago and we weren’t disappointed. When we arrived our table wasn’t ready but they seated us somewhere else. The server was very pleasant and helpful and kept checking that we were happy with our meal choices. The food was great and generous portions so much so we ended up with doggie bags. Everything about the evening was lovely and we will be back during our next visit to Rehoboth Beach.

We dined on a Thursday evening on the outdoor covered porch. Check-in was great, we arrived 20 minutes early and we were given the option to be seated right away or have a drink in the bar. We are locals and love that they take reservations. This isn't something most restaurants in the area do. Our server, Ashley was exceptional, she was attentive but not overly intrusive. The time between courses was perfect, never felt rushed. The fried calamari was some of the best I've ever had. Our entrees consisted of chicken parmesan and veal piccata both huge portions and highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

Super food and great service. Nice variety on the menu. Very nice atmosphere. We were seated near the brick oven which worked out great for our larger group and for social distancing from other guests. Everyone loved the food. One of the nicest Italian restaurants in the entire area.
