I've been to James Street a number of times! I've always enjoyed the atmosphere here! The food is good, staff is great and very friendly and the clientele are nice and colorful!! They offer music, (live tonight with Andy Lasher!) Also streamed music and 11 tv's!

Son and I stop in over the weekend for some beers and eats. Been a while since I was there and new owners have clean up the place. Old place was run down a bit. Will stop again

Visited on a slow Saturday night should have been the first sign that we should have moved on. Great draft draft and bottle beer selection but did is mediocre at best.

This place tries to portray an eclectic menu through crap / ill-prepared garbage. For instance, ordered the crab bisque which was a watered down - old bay over seasoned soup totally lacking crab meat and substance for 6 bucks for a measley cup. The draft beer we ordered was skunk as well, had to trade it for bottle. BLUF... Won't... More

Great vibe in this small neighborhood pub. Have been here twice. Excellent servers. Reasonable prices. Cheese fries were a little underdone....I forgive them as fries with meal was perfect. Crab bisque-did not notice any crab in it! That needs to be worked on because it's also flavorless. Burger on a brioche bun was great-cooked perfectly. Still would come back-more positives... More

Please go... We have been in the area many times..... Or favorites include Joe's Crab Shack, Soffrito"s Italian Restaurant, Grotto's Pizza... James Street Tavern has just been added to the list. All of these places have a different and good feel. Go.. You will love the Cheesesteak - my husband had it. The best one he had in 20 years... More

Based primarily on Tripadvisor reviews, on a recent Saturday, I had lunch at James Street Tavern. On the occasion of my visit, James Street Tavern was lightly patronized. The sausage sandwich with green peppers, onions and cheese was recommended, so that is what I ordered. I was impressed with the tasty sandwich: a generous portion which included french fries.

My wife and I stopped in here a few months ago. It is a little bar/restaurant. It was not crowded at all and the food was good. It was a good value for the money.
