Happened by on a Sat afternoon and stopped in based on reviews. It was packed with a 10 minute wait at around 3:00 in the afternoon. Atmosphere is casual as expected for SW Tex-Mex, tables are close and it's pretty loud. Service was fast and friendly. Immediately served the tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were over cooked for my... More

Best place to host a family reunion. The service was outstanding and the every staff member was professional. The hotel, their court room and the ballrooms are state of the art. The food was outstanding. Every person in my family loves every meal that was prepared and served.

Good food. Very "hot" at times. Great party atmosphere and service. Nothing like a chain / franchise.

Been going to Jose tejas in Woodbridge NJ for well over 25 years. The usual wait is 2 hours to get a table. As much as we loved going the wait was way too long since we bring our 3 sons with us. Then we had a really sucky server then had a bad meeting with a manager we decided... More

The food here is always good and reasonably priced. Staff has always been friendly. THe noise level between people talking and the music blaring is often to loud to enjoy a conversation.

2:30 seems a bit late for lunch but this place was hopping. Unique menu mixing Cajun and TexMex is a reason in and of itself to check this place out. I imagine it's pretty much always crowded. Pulled beef is outstanding. I liked the enchiladas and wife liked the empanadas. Salad was also very good.

The cuisine is Cajun and Tex-Mex. The food is excellent, unpretentious and plenty. We have been there multiple times and never been disappointed. The warm chips and the salsa is delicious. They have blackened chicken, catfish - both are excellent. So are the fajitas. The service is good, though you may have to wait as they do not accept reservations.... More

This place is SO good and the portions are crazy. My husband and i were on a day trip to Newark from Maryland and we happened upon this restaurant. We keep saying we wish there was one close to us because it is so good!

I try to go to this place for lunch a few times per year. Avoid a weekend dinner because of the wait and noise level here, it's an open floor plan. The food is always good and the service is usually fast.

Thank Michael S
