My husband, daughter and I visited Border Cafe on a busy Saturday night around 6pm. We were told it would be a 40 minute wait but we were texted @25 minutes later for our table. We ordered a strawberry margarita and a house Merlot to enjoy with our chips and salsa. We had the gumbo which was very good, blackened... More

Great food and great prices. My husband and I were in the area and visited for the first time. It was an unexpected great find. Everything from the atmosphere, to the service, to the food was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Went to lunch her with a group of friends. All of our meals were delicious. Wonderful prices and yummy frozen margaritas!

I have eaten here on many occasions and find the food pretty good. Some of the servers are really good and some are just ok. For me the real drawback is the volume of the noise in the dining area. I find that it is counter productive to a great conversation.

We love this place because there are a ton of options and all of it is very good. You can have mexican, or you can have creole, and you'll enjoy it all.

My husband and I went to visit our daughter during Parent's Weekend at the University of Delaware. All local restaurants had a long wait but we finally decided to wait the 50 minutes the hostess told us we won would have. The wait was 50 minutes but we are so glad we waited. The interior is quaint with decorations reminding... More

It's not like we didn't like the food but it was salty. Leave out the salt, and the food would be excellent. The restaurant is very popular and it was crowded on a Monday night before five o'clock. The chips were over salted that were served with a salsa and the onions with the chicken fajitas had absorbed a lot... More

They have the best fajitas in the world. Others in my family love the fried catfish, although it has been removed from the menu. We did try the catfish fajitas and they were wonderful as well.

This was a great find in an area with a lot of less-than-appealing options. Truthfully, I was a little nervous since the decor had the look of a place that had worked hard to feel weathered and "authentic". (Usually that's a bad sign for the food...) That said, our waitress was outstanding and very attentive to our table of 8.... More

No wonder this place is in the top 1% of restaurants in the area. The food was delicious. The portions were large. The service was great. No complaints and we will definitely be back if we are in the area again.
