We dined here during U of D parents weekend. What a great meal we had!!! Staff was super pleasant. Service was quick. We enjoyed the “limited menu” for U of D weekend. Bruschetta, a staple pre-dinner treat .... don't expect that before dinner ... there wasn't any served. That was a forewarning of things to come. What they listed as "Sangria" seemed to be watered-down, iced-down wine with a little fruit juice. When the drink was gone,...1/2 glass of ice remained! All dishes served to our group members, although mostly said to be tasty, amounted to servings much too small for what they charged. The rolls served were nothing to brag about either. Usually, I never leave an Italian restaurant still being hungry ... this was a first for me. I suppose it takes much $$ to maintain their expensive-looking decor? I would rather have the prices paid go toward a hearty meal ... which is what I usually get at a decent Italian restaurant. Very disappointing .... never again, no mater how high their rating ... .lesson learned.More

Visited here for dinner with friends. First, they claimed not to have our reservation which was made a week prior. Then they proceeded to seat our group right NEAR THE RESTROOM. After complaining, we were moved. When the server finally brought out bread it was...cold and chewy. The food took almost an hour to come out (we were 5 people). It was just ok. My fusilli dish was extremely salty. I would not recommend this place.More

The service was terrible I ordered chicken marsala and the sauce tasted like watered down mushroom sauce, the chicken was so thin and not tender, also had pasta on the side and it was worst then ones that come out of out of a can....My wife ordered meatball sandwich and you could not even notice that there was a meatball in the sandwich. It was a good thing I was not paying or I would have paid for her tea and left that is how bad it was. We had a large table of over 12 they brought out only two breads placed on opposite side one once like garlic bread the other was real bread but no butter was served. Again this was the worst experience everMore

We decided to participate once again in the School Fundraiser being offered by La Casa Pasta for the entire month of April. Last time it was a ONE night only fundraiser that was delivered to the school. This time you could choose any date and...time during the month of April & pick up at the restaurant. I decided to give it a try in hopes that the food would be hotter this way. I went online and placed a curbside order to go. For the fundraiser deal, you simply selected your choice of main course from about 4-5 options. We chose the chicken parmigiana since we enjoyed it last time. It came with meatballs, salad, bread, pasta and mini cannoli. When we arrived at the restaurant at our chose date/time, we simply called and they brought our order out to the car for curbside pickup. Order was ready and delivered rather quickly! The food: The food, unfortunately, was NOT very hot again. Portion sizes were decent for a family meal deal. The chicken parmigiana was very good. Pasta was OK. Salad was good. Bread is very good. Mini cannoli were also good. I personally am not a fan of their meatballs. Overall, we had an OK meal with La Casa Pasta. Service was much better this visit. Their chicken parmigiana is very good when it is served hot. Other food items are just OK. I was really unhappy with the temperature of our hot food items being that we picked it up directly from the restaurant at the designated pick-up time. They were luke warm at best when we received them. I do not understand why the family fundraiser meals are not served up hot. I was disappointed! IF you look at the pictures of our chicken parmigiana, you can tell that the cheese isn't even melted!! Bottom Line: OK food. Mid-range to high-end pricing. Service is hit or miss. Main reason I ordered was to support the local school via the family meal deal fundraiser. If I were not looking to participate in a fundraiser to support a local business/school/charity, I would order take-out elsewhere. I have not been really happy with their carry-out food service due to food temperature issues.More

Although I haven’t dined in at La Casa Pasta since before 3/20, I have been enjoying takeout from them about once a month. Last night’s dinner from there was out of this world! The food is as exceptional (although I miss the cozy atmosphere there)...as always, and LCP is doing a great job of packing the dishes to travel. Can’t wait to dine in again soon!More

The food was good but the extra charges are ridiculous. We ordered Ice Tea and they charge $3 for an 8 ounce class. The crazy part is refills are also charged at $3. I eat out all the time and know body charges for Ice...Tea refills. My wife ordered Chicken Parmigiana. It’s served with red sauce and comes with pasta. She asked if they could change to sauce to Alfredo and they said that would not be a problem. When the bill came we noticed a $10 up charge for Alfredo sauce. These types of hidden charges make for a terrible experience.More

We purchased a fundraiser meal through La Casa Pasta that supported one of the local schools. We simply clicked on the Curbside to Go link on La Casa Pasta's page, selected the family meal designated as the school fundraiser, selected our preferred pickup time and...entered any desired comment. We entered that we preferred a house salad in place of the Cesar salad and checked out on their website. We immediately received an email stating that our meal was going to be ready shortly. This was a little confusing since the fundraiser was ONE specific night in February & we had to pick up our meal on the given date AT THE SCHOOL. I contacted La Casa Pasta by phone to ensure that our meal was indeed being delivered to the school on the given fundraiser date & was NOT going to be ready in 30 minutes. Staff answering the phone was VERY RUDE and short with me. She was not very pleasant at all. I know she was probably receiving several similar calls from other fundraiser participants, but she didn't have to be so rude. She did state that it would be delivered to the school on the fundraiser date & that she couldn't do anything about patrons receiving erroneous messages. On the date of the school fundraiser, we picked up our meal at the selected time at the school. Food was ready and packaged nicely in aluminum containers. Our family meal (feeds 4-5) contained 5 chicken parmigiana cutlets, penne pasta with pink sauce, 8 meatballs, a house salad, a half a loaf of bread and 8 mini cannoli. The temperature of the food we received was COLD. Nothing was warm or even luke warm when we received it. That was perfect for the salad and mini cannoli, but we had to reheat all the hot foods. That kind of defeated one of the purposes of ordering a meal (not having to cook), however, the school did receive a portion of the price. The food: Chicken Parmigiana was very good. The chicken was all white meat and very tender. Breading, sauce and cheese were delicious. Penne pasta was just OK. The pasta was very dry as it had little to no sauce on it. Also, I did not care for the pink sauce. I prefer a red sauce. I did NOT like the meatballs at all. They had some weird seasoning to them. I believe the meatballs were a blend of veal, pork and beef so that may be why I think the taste was off. I prefer ALL beef meatballs. My husband enjoyed them, but myself and the kids did not. Bread was very good. We all enjoyed it. We would have gladly eaten a whole loaf, but only a half loaf was included in the meal. Salad was good & I was pleased that we did receive the HOUSE salad instead of a Cesar salad. I had requested Italian salad dressing, which was basically an oil. We did not like the dressing. The cannoli were very tasty, however, the shells were not filled completely. Several of the cannoli had cheese in the ends, but not in the center. Plus the cheese filling had very little chocolate chips in it. You had to search for one in each cannoli. Some had no chocolate chips. I felt like they skimped. Overall, I was happy with the Chicken Parmigiana that we received for our family meal. It was very good. That has always been my favorite item on their menu anyways. I would not recommend the meatballs. Price was fair for what we received. Online ordering was simple. Phone service was rude and food was served up COLD so I was not impressed with the service.More

We hadn't been here for a great while, so tried it again for my boyfriend's birthday. Had a great meal - he with the veal medallions with mushrooms (meal included a vegetable) and me with the vegetable lasagna (nothing else included, would've liked to see...a small garden salad included). I would've enjoyed some herbs in the oil or on the plate to dip the bread in. There were two parties starting up while we were mid-meal. I would suggest not sitting near that end of the restaurant to avoid the accompanying noise since they didn't shut the door while we were there. Other than that, an enjoyable time and we will go back again.More

If you're looking for a quiet atmosphere for date night, it can get rather loud, especially on a busy night *as a heads up*.More
