We attended this restaurant for Valentine's Day and there was definitely a wait to get in (despite having reservations), however, the food and ambiance we very good. We felt that the restaurant did a good job getting food out quickly and ensuring that water glasses were always full. If you're looking for a quiet atmosphere for date night, it can get rather loud, especially on a busy night *as a heads up*.

The food was good but the extra charges are ridiculous. We ordered Ice Tea and they charge $3 for an 8 ounce class. The crazy part is refills are also charged at $3. I eat out all the time and know body charges for Ice Tea refills. My wife ordered Chicken Parmigiana. It’s served with red sauce and comes with pasta. She asked if they could change to sauce to Alfredo and they said that would not be a problem. When the bill came we noticed a $10 up charge for Alfredo sauce. These types of hidden charges make for a terrible experience.

We hadn't been here for a great while, so tried it again for my boyfriend's birthday. Had a great meal - he with the veal medallions with mushrooms (meal included a vegetable) and me with the vegetable lasagna (nothing else included, would've liked to see a small garden salad included). I would've enjoyed some herbs in the oil or on the plate to dip the bread in. There were two parties starting up while we were mid-meal. I would suggest not sitting near that end of the restaurant to avoid the accompanying noise since they didn't shut the door while we were there. Other than that, an enjoyable time and we will go back again.

Visited here for dinner with friends. First, they claimed not to have our reservation which was made a week prior. Then they proceeded to seat our group right NEAR THE RESTROOM. After complaining, we were moved. When the server finally brought out bread it was cold and chewy. The food took almost an hour to come out (we were 5 people). It was just ok. My fusilli dish was extremely salty. I would not recommend this place.

Although I haven’t dined in at La Casa Pasta since before 3/20, I have been enjoying takeout from them about once a month. Last night’s dinner from there was out of this world! The food is as exceptional (although I miss the cozy atmosphere there) as always, and LCP is doing a great job of packing the dishes to travel. Can’t wait to dine in again soon!

Just after the Lunch Menu, dinner was served so we had an early Dinner too early to have wine . only one other couple were seated after we came in Empty however they were seated right next to us(no chance for a private conversation) The other couple whispered as we believe they were looking for more privacy. Our server was hard to find when we wanted to check out so another girl(not a waitress) was called over to pay our check. Food was Good their Olive oil was outstanding so I bought a bottle to take home. The music was soothing Italian music for an afternoon solace. Though the place was practically empty I did not see much action on OUR servers part. Meal over 70 with taking home Organic Olive oil . We will try another time slot

Don’t get me wrong. The food was good too. The restaurant has the vibe of a family owned Italian restaurant and I’ve been to a couple of places with this sort of decor before. There were a number of menu choices that you could order in a half portion, which I personally like when you’re trying to decide between two pastas. The mushroom ravioli was my favorite between my two choices. The sausage and broccoli rabe was not bad, but the sausage was very salty. We had various other orders in our large party including lasagna, gnocchi, meatballs, cannelloni, and pasta with calamari. Most of them struck me as in the “pretty good” range, but not anything that I’d consider life-changing. The best part about our visit with Sindhu, our server. She was exceptionally bright, cheerful, welcoming, efficient, professional, and had everything served in a very reasonable amount of time. We had a party of eight, plus one baby, and she had no trouble keeping everyone’s orders straight. The visit was good, and the food decent, but truly the most outstanding part of our visit was Sindhu.

We really do appreciate the candid feedback, and I will give my chef team the feedback on the food. I will certainly give Sindhu your glowing remarks. I'm positive it will make her week! Thank you for taking the time to give us a review, as its guests like yourself that have kept us in business for over 45 years.

Worst dinner in a long time. Swarmed by flies. Manager felt the need to come over and explain that we should expect flies to be on our food because it’s summer time. Never coming back. Hope you don’t either.

Every time we visit, we are never disappointed. The staff is always friendly, attentive and very welcoming. The food is always hot and fresh! By far one of our favorite family and date night resturants!

La Casa Pasta has been a staple restaurant in my life for over 25 years. A go to for date night and family nights out. In the past year or so something has changed. The menu has been halved, omitting many favorites. For instance, why is steak no longer offered, no more filet? No more cheese plate...Italian restaurant staple. The overall quality of the dishes, pasta and sauces have gone down. The potatoes and veggies are simply not high quality. Veggies are large, too crunchy and not well seasoned. The mashed potatoes are old school, not creamy and whipped which is how they are done now in fine dining restaurants. I want to love La Casa Pasta, but it seems as the place expanded and upgraded, the menu and food offered has diminished in quality.

WE have gone a few times in the last few weeks. Each time everything was excellent. The burrata is silky smooth with great accompanying additions. Gorgonzola pasta is very rich and creamy, the Chesapeake is perfectly cooked shrimp and plenty of crab. The crust could be the best in Delaware. Decent wine list and reasonably priced. Ask for Jill to be your server.

We dined here during U of D parents weekend. What a great meal we had!!! Staff was super pleasant. Service was quick. We enjoyed the “limited menu” for U of D weekend. If you are reading this and are planning to be in the U of D area (Newark, DE) … don’t hesitate… book your meal here (you will NOT be disappointed.

My Mom was visiting my husband & I so we decided to take her to dinner. She originally wanted to go to Olive Garden because she's hesitant trying a new place. I was able to convince her to try La Casa Pasta & guaranteed that she would like it since my husband & I have eaten here 3 times. We had the meatballs as an appetizer & she loved them. For dinner my husband had lasagna & both my Mom & I had veal parm. Everything was excellent & she's so glad she decided to give them a try. We'll definitely be going back!

My husband and I sat at the bar for dinner. Was our first time back in many years...not sure why we waited so long! Lasagna was delicious and the chicken Parmesan was the best I’ve ever had! Warm, crusty bread, too. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Fantastic!

This place has a great menu selection on their menu. We had the San Marino dish which was soo good and so much seafood. My husband had the cheese ravioli and loved it. Service was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.
