This place isn’t soul food it’s disgusting. Chicken wasn’t cleaned properly, mac and cheese is nasty. No seasoning on the food like really?

I had the fried chicken (thigh and leg) with collard greens and black-eyed peas and rice. My daughter had fried catfish with mac & cheese, yams, and cornbread. We loved everything. We will certainly return.

I brought 2 platters the food was not that good. Missing the traditional soul food seasoning. I’m told there’s new owners which explains the lack of taste and seasonings. Someone needs to go in there and show them how to make traditional soul food.

Opened at 12N on a Saturday so no breakfast is served here. Only 2 tables and few seats. Mostly a to-go spot. Food was actually pretty good. Not salty and well seasoned. Veggies made with Turkey not pork. The fish was really good, had tilapia...and it was fried well. Mac & cheese was ok. Cornbread was soft and sweet. Collards were intact in big pieces seasoned nicely. Fried okra was good too. The white rice was too mushy. If u like salty foods, this is not place for u. I personally prefer to add my own salt and like that about the food here. Staff is hospitable.More

The food was good. However, they seem to have a long wait time even after you've called your order in prior to getting there.

I have been to this restaurant aprox 1 per month for the last 5 months. The first time I ordered andwaited, the order was ready minutes before the anticipated time . I learned to call ahead and my order was always ready and stayed warm...until I arrived home. The workers are very courteous and , I have never been disappointed in the quantity as well as the quality of the meal. Please note the quantity is always enough for at least 2meals.More

I tried this place twice both times the food is blah! The Mac and cheese not wt I would expect from a soul food spot bland. I had the candied yams it tastes like it's straight from the can no cinnamon, no sugar, no vanilla...flavor just here straight from a can and warmed up. However the ribs and cornbread was good.More

This is easily the best soul food restaurant in northern Delaware. You have to go to Philadelphia or Baltimore or southern Delaware to get better so food. Don't be fooled, this is primarily a takeout restaurant. So, for the food to taste the way it...is intended, be prepared to call ahead, pick up your food, get home or to a hotel room in a reasonable period of time (less than 30 minutes), and then eat. If you succeed in this, you will be marvelously surprised. Enjoy!More

The food has an excellent flavor! The staff is friendly. My only recommendation is to order ahead a half hour or more because they get alot of business and make to order.

I'm not sure what has happened in a year time but this dinner was one of my favorites! I had order three dinners which included a platter of baked turkey wings. They were very tough and pale brown not the golden tender wings they usually serve....The fish platter has a few skimpy pieces of fish that seem lost in the serving container. I normally would've call the manner but I had already travel about 75 miles to MD before opening the platters. Next time I will check the boxes before leaving the restaurant.More
