We went to Touch of Italy for take out food. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food, especially the chicken parmesan. When we opened the box of napoleons for dessert, there was blue mold on each one of them. Yuk! This was surprising since we saw that they had been refrigerated when we bought them. We returned... Thank you for taking the time to write in. I'm concerned that you didn't like our signature dish, Chicken Parmigiana. A little known secret is that this is based on the same recipe as found at the Palm in NY, except a lot less expensive. :-) For me, this is always my go-to dish and the first one I recommend... The greatest Italian food and deli. My husband and I live in lewes Delaware and often get an Italian sub and antipasto to go and take a bottle of wine and go watch the sunset. The staff here are so nice and never fail to meet our needs. Dine in for a pizza and a salad, they have a great... More

This restaurant is my favorite in Lewes. They also have a wood fired pizza oven. They have a lovely selection of cheeses, cookies, and meats to go. Actually we go there quite frequently. Soup and Pasta dishes are always good. Never had a bad meal. Service is good too.

Rainy night in Lewes and yes hard to find place to park, but worth it. Great antipasto appetizers for 2 and chicken parmigiana is always a winner. We normally always get cannoli and a eclair- also they have great frozen ravioli you can buy for later. Service is always good- just be patient for a table

We got an antipasto plate for a party and a pizza to take to our hotel. Both were amazing! Can not wait to return to have a meal. The restaurant reminded us of many of the family run Italian restaurants off the main drag in Little Italy , NYC. Entire staff is fun and all about customer service.

Have heard and read here.... great things about this restaurant. Our expectations were high, but not unreasonable. We were a group of three there for an early (5:45) dinner. The atmosphere is casual and pleasant. They offer to go and a deli/market in same space. The waiter brought us some bread... oil was on the table as was a very... More

HI Raymond - thank you for taking the time to write this review. One of the few restaurants open for lunch in downtown Lewes on a cold January day, we visited Touch of Italy by default. That turned out to be serendipitous. The restaurant is a combination of Italian deli, Italian bakery, and Italian trattoria. The display cases of cheeses, meats and pastries are a treat for the eyes. Because we stopped in... More

Description
Touch of Italy was born out of two Italian family traditions that trace back to the late 1800's. These two families trace their roots to the beautiful Marche and Abruzzo regions in Central Italy, where one can find rich cultural traditions and recipes passed down from generation to generation. Touch of Italy first opened in the fall of 2010 in Lewes, Delaware and proudly runs five locations in Ocean City, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, serving fresh items like handmade mozzarella cheese, pasta, pizza, cookies and crispy bread, as well as high quality imported items from Italy. Touch of Italy is proud to bring the Italian tradition to costal Delaware and Maryland, and pay tribute to our ancestors, who imparted to us a love of food and family.
