Really friendly owner and staff. Large fresh deli counter with extraordinary meats and cheese on display, both hanging from stainless steel racks and others inside the meat cases. There is a small (just enough) seating for about 20 plus diners. The selections of sandwich (s) is huge. We had Pasta Fagioli soup, the #5, which had too many meats to... More

Food matters. We all agree. And this place has a lot to offer from Southern Italian cuisine. Portions are generous and pizza is an excellent example of good neapolitan-style. Their sandwiches are also really good and generous. But what if I tell you that this place used to be our must go to when in Lewes for the past 5... More

Dear LuBart - Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We researched what happened. She's gone now! But, you and other readers deserve a longer answer. No question about it, we've become a victim of our popularity. On a Friday or Saturday night in the summer, we can have an hour wait. The reason people wait is (as you... More

We enjoyed appetizers, pizza, and dessert. The lamb sausage appetizer was fantastic. The godfather pizza was worthwhile. The place has Peroni on draft. Cannoli and tiramisu was very good. Highly recommend. Only 5 or 6 seats at bar so don't think there will be a vibrant bar scene.

We wandered in because the smell of the deli meats wafting through the open door was so delightful. The place looks right, and the food was excellent -- those momma's meatballs really are darn good, the burrata was nice, and the espresso and cream puffs were just what one would desire. However, the servers behaved as though they were doing... More

Dear KimfromDC - thank you for writing in. We certainly do not get to be #1 out of all of the fantastic restaurants in Lewes if we had not-so-great service. I gotta say, this is pretty flooring, very surprising - definitely not the norm, especially not at this location as is well memorialized by the posts on TripAdvisor. I'd appreciate... More

We dined here with family (2 couples) & they were familiar with this place & liked it, so we went for the pizza. I was disappointed in the meal in general. I've had better frozen pizza, actually. The menu choices were just too off the wall, could not even choose a reg cheese & pepperoni pizza at all. The place... More

My family and I visited Touch of Italy a few weeks ago and were thrilled with what we found -- friendly and helpful wait staff, delicious soups/salads/sandwiches, mouthwatering deli selections. We want to return and try more of the menu selections. Had neighboring diners been in our family group, we would have been exchanging tastes! Real Italian!!

After several visits to pick up the baked goods (try the pignoli cookies), we made it to lunch. Loved the pizza bianca with arugula and prosciutto - generous size, plenty to share.

Although my friends have had their wonderful pizza and pasta dishes, I cannot get past Mamma's Meatballs, which are the best ever anywhere!! Always consistently delicious, large and tender, with great sauce and worth taking leftovers home along with one of the great Italian loafs for a sandwich later. Plus, want to be spoiled for any other dessert? Then get... More

Touch of Italy was born out of two Italian family traditions that trace back to the late 1800's. These two families trace their roots to the beautiful Marche and Abruzzo regions in Central Italy, where one can find rich cultural traditions and recipes passed down from generation to generation. Touch of Italy first opened in the fall of 2010 in Lewes, Delaware and proudly runs five locations in Ocean City, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, serving fresh items like handmade mozzarella cheese, pasta, pizza, cookies and crispy bread, as well as high quality imported items from Italy. Touch of Italy is proud to bring the Italian tradition to costal Delaware and Maryland, and pay tribute to our ancestors, who imparted to us a love of food and family.
