Ordered takeout, 10 minutes to home.food was lukewarm at best. Have had better lasagna out of a box, tasteless. Shrimp linguine lots of pasta few shrimp. Have enjoyed eating here many times before COVID. Sad to see them go downhill.
I’ve been a patron of Touch of Italy in Lewes since they opened, and I was happy, then sad to see them come and go in my hometown of Wilmington a couple years ago. It’s a terrific place to pick up baked goods, deli meats,...and outstanding cheeses! I rarely dine in, but often get one of their yummy sandwiches to take to the beach or Cape Henlopen State Park for a picnic.
For the record, this is a GOURMET Italian salumeria (deli) on prime real estate in an upscale resort town at the beach. The TripAdvisor members who have left negative reviews in which they complain about the prices here are way off base! You’re getting a quality product in a high-end location. The prices are posted…don’t want to pay, go to the highway and there are myriad choices of cheap fast food restaurants and supermarkets.More
After reading reviews, my friend & I eagerly looked forward to dining here. I don't want to criticize the mediocre service, I want to give the them the benefit of the doubt. It was very busy I know it is hard to find help right...now. However, I feel justified to comment on the meal itself. The $ value, as advertised, is $$ - $$$. Our order was $$$. For this amount, I thought the restaurant could provide a small side salad in addition to the lonely entree put on the plate. And is it too much to ask for a few slices of bread? We had to ask for it, it was a long wait time & we were starving. I don't know if this is a reflection of policy or the server's oversight.
Anyway, the food was GOOD. Would we go back? Nah, we can find something better, I'm sure.More
We got take out for three and our order was wrong. We were not told they were out of an item and they decided themselves to give us baked ziti for $18 instead of what we ordered which we didn’t discover until we got home....Expensive food, good but not outstanding.More
Ordered a large Caprese salad for $14. We were told that a large salad was 6 slices each of tomato and mozzarella cheese. It was a takeout order. When we got home and opened the container, we were stunned to find 3 slices each of...tomato and mozzarella. So, a phone call was placed to the restaurant to inquire and we were told that we did get the large salad. $14 for a tomato cut into 3 pieces and 3 slices of mozzarella. This is not the first lackluster experience with Touch of Italy. Such a disappointment, again.More
We only had a 5 minute wait for a table for 3 which was a surprise as they were full at 6p. We ordered cheese pizza for daughter, linguine and calamari for hubby and cheese ravioli with one meatball for me. We had portions to...take home. Great service by Stephanie.More
My wife and I have eaten here multiple times. Food was average, service poor and ambiance for dining terrible (tables jammed together in what is actually a deli). But we were staying nearby in Lewes with my niece and her 2 sons and they wanted...pizza. By phoneI ordered a pizza and a salmon dinner for pick up. They said ready in 35 minutes. My wife drove by and I hopped out to pick up while she circled the block due to lack of parking. Waitress said order was delayed 5-10 minutes. Then asked me to pay which I did by card. After 5 trips around the block for my wife and 40 more minutes they had not started on the salmon. I asked for a refund, but manager said he had to call my card company later that night to process the refund!!!! WE WILL NEVER TRY HERE AGAIN. VERY BAD TASTE.More
