Donnie sure knows how to cook a crab! Fat, Juicy Crabs! Call ahead if you are looking for the Larger Jimmy's by the dozen. Also, their food off the menu is good as well.

Outstanding Crab cakes, all real crabmeat! No filler! Great Staff and owners! The dinner hours due get crowded, the food is the reason why! Other menu items are excellent as well. Great Steamed Crabs, They are not Delaware trash Crabs, always great tasting and full of meat. Surfing Crab is well worth the trip from wherever you are located!

ordered all you can eat crabs and they would bring crabs out three at a time while waiting, they give you a time limit but it seemed as if they controlled the time and quantity but as we were waiting for the crabs all of a sudden they ran out of all you can eat. The crabs were seasoned average... More

My wife and I just spent the day in Cape May New Jersey enjoying their crab in beer festival. You would've thought that we had had enough crab for one day, but after catching The late afternoon ferry over to Lewes, we were looking for one last beach seafood dinner before heading home. Thankful that we found this place! It... More

We stopped here on the way back from The beach around 4 pm on Saturday and were told they only had 5 1/2 - 6" crabs left - the others were sold out by phone ahead orders during the week, so if you want large ones, call several days ahead to reserve them!! Our server did manage a dozen larger... More

Some of the most delicious crabcakes my wife and I have had. Super good. You may be taken back by the setting when you walk in -- family style seating. It's also a really small room where folks eat so there is a lot of banging from the crab mallets, but that's OK -- the homemade food definitely makes up... More

Macaroni & cheese with fresh crab meat was outstanding (and very filling). Blackened fresh tuna with grilled string beans and peppers was also excellent! Service was great! We didn't get there in time to order the "all you can eat" crab dinner, but we saw lots of people holding little mallets and cracking away at the crab shells. Seems like... More

If you are coming during a busy weekend and want to do all you can eat, be sure to call ahead to reserve your crab. You may not be able to reserve a table, but at least you can reserve your crab! Communal tables, great people, great food. Must try while in Delmarva!

We found this place has the best crabs at the best price and always awesome servers to help your first timers open and clean their crabs. Hot crabs, cold beer and a few deviled eggs and a few fried oysters made for an awesome meal.

Just the place you are looking for if you are a steamed crab fan! You know right away when you see the paper on the tables, the little wooden mallets, and the happy customers. The service is friendly and helpful, the crabs are awesome. Sit down and start cracking and picking, but the staff will be very helpful. Personally, I... More

Description
The Surfing Crab is a family tradition of fresh seafood and crabs that was established over 50 years ago. It all started back in 1961, when Henry Vechery opened the Bethesda Crab House. His young son, Donald Vechery began working with him at the age of just nine. Over the years, the crab house became a huge success. Around 2008, Donald wanted to branch out and build something for himself using his years of knowledge and experience. Thus, The Surfing Crab was born, providing Sussex County with 8 years of the most amazing crabs and seafood the area has seen. Come down and try our passionatly crafted dishes using the freshest seafood available!
