Excellent drinks and fresh guacamole! Entrees were good overall - especially the Mole Chicken. However, The fish tacos with the crunchy fried shell were are sold miss! Go VERY early or be prepared to wait forever for a table!

When friends and relatives come for a visit, Agave in Lewes is always our first stop! Fun, festive atmosphere. Staff are professional, lively, and make you feel like you’re their only guest. Top notch crew. Food is to die for! Have to start with their...guacamole, Pico de Galla salsa, and chips while enjoying the best margaritas in town! I’m a sucker for their steak and Bleu cheese quesadilla. When taking one of the many cruises out of Lewes (Dolphin, Sunset, Canal), we get guacamole, salsa, chips, and margaritas for two to go. Packaged nicely and so much fun to nibble and drink while sightseeing. During tourist season, waits can be long so it’s best to plan after lunch but before dinner. The don’t accept reservations. We always have luck between 2:00-4:00 and enjoy sitting at the bar.More

Really enjoyed our dinner at Agave in downtown Lewes. Understand why this is a busy venue and table time is limited, so happy that we were able to get in. My husband said it was the best Mexican he ever had and the Street Corn...was delicious. We loved everything, queso, sweet potato mash, burritos, etc. Nicely done!More

Visited Agave for appetizers and drinks after shopping in Lewes for a few hours. We ordered two margaritas and two white sangrias. The margaritas were bitter. Not enough mix. The sangria was horrible too. Could be the harsh tequila, not sure? Drink prices were reasonable...but they were so bad they couldn’t be finished. bbq wings, super nachos with chicken, empanadas and a Mexican corn were ordered and everything was great. 1st time at Agave in Lewes, DE and the last time. My wife and I went with another couple. We walked in on a Tuesday and got right in around 5:30 which was really awesome since it was not really crowded but more steady. However,...when our hostess seated us she told us that they were expecting a dinner rush so we were limited to 1 hour and 45 mins at our table. WHAT??? Never ever have I been out at a restaurant and told I have under 2 hours to eat. Maybe we should have left at that moment. My house margarita was awful. Not sure what kind of mix and brand tequila they used but it needs a total make over. The chicken enchiladas I ordered were plentiful but extremely chewy and didn’t taste fresh. Came with a side of black beans and Spanish rice which were tastier than the enchiladas. Our waitress was pleasant, prompt and attentive.More

The nachos and margarita were nothing special and it's expensive. The service was great though and the interior is nicely appointed.

We enjoyed appetizers and super sized Margaritas here. Certainly a busy and trendy place. Beautiful surroundings and very nice service. It was fun to experience it!

The chef could stand to taste his food. Flavorless and dull was my experience. Disappointed with the price we paid for not to great food.

Stopped to have lunch and definitely found a place worth visiting. We started with the fresh guacamole,w high was excellent. My wife had the mole enchilada and I had the Fresca salad with watermelon. Both dishes were very good and the service was equally well...done. We would definitely return if we were in the area.More

We ran in here on a rainy day while wandering the streets of Lewes. We waited a fair amount of time for seating, even though there were plenty of tables open. Service was somewhat slow. Pricing is for the upper crust I'd say. I don't...remember what my wife ordered, but she wasn't impressed at this price point for sure. I ordered a burrito, it was very small, no sides, no sauce, tasteless. I asked for a side of salsa to hopefully spice it up, salsa was very bland, so had to put hot sauce on which helped, but still fairly tasteless ingredients. They had some happy hour drink specials, but waiter didn't know much about it, think it was $2 off unknown prices. Very disappointing for a restaurant that is trying to be closer to fine dining. Would not recommendMore

Guacamole and chips were excellent. Ordered fish tacos (2) that came with rice and black beans. Had a cobalt margarita that was wonderful.

My wife and I was deciding where to go and have some good Mexican food while out shopping.We rode by this place plenty of times and decided to give it a try.It was amazing the food was delicious and we are definitely coming back.The nachos...was more than we thought we would get and the corn was the best that I had in a long time.The staff was very polite and the atmosphere was very nice.More
