Just moved here from Chicago and only love authentic Italian food so I skeptically ordered from here. I spoke with the owner, Rolando, and he assured me he had some of the best bolognese sauce. He didn't fail me. We ordered 8 dinners, all different...and each one was out of this world. The following week we were ordering too late as Carlito's was closing and we placed an order with a different restaurant. Never again. We will order in enough time from now on as Carlito's was authentic, delicious and generous with the portions. Tonight is my birthday and we ordered 8 dinners once again. Tonight I am trying the Chicken Franchese with more pasta and bolognese sauce as once again, Rolando, has assured me he makes this wonderful. I believe him and will make sure we order once a week. Thank you Rolando for putting such love in your cooking. Lynn Lionhood.More

We love Carlitos for the homemade pasta and fish entrees. They are open for takeout during the pandemic, and their website makes online ordering quick and simple. Thanks for feeding us during this challenging time! They have wine and drinks for purchase at a discounted...price which is great. Excellent desserts as well.More

The food at Carlitos is good, prices are reasonable I had the absolutely worst Cosmo I've ever had there. They had to be premade and badly. The waitress brought some more vodka? Didn't help. Yuk. Wine fine. Food is good. I really want to like...this restaurant, but the bartender might need help.More

I had an early dinner of seafood linguine. They were generous with the various seafood and portions. Staff were attentive and friendly.

We had won tickets and had gone to lime rock raceway in Salisbury Ct. — it was a super hot hot day ( 97 degrees and 90% humidity) so we only stayed for the first race. We were melting lol And On the way home...we stopped at Carlitos in Woodbury Ct. I had a Groupon to use. It’s a lovely restaurant - nicely decorated and situated in a small plaza at the bottom of Sherman hill. Our first time there Service was very good and we only ordered light because of the heat and we had a 2 hour drive back home We all had A cup of pasta fagiole soup and we split an order of fried calamari. And warm bread which was very tasty - It was all good. They each had a mixed drink and I had coffee and 2 glasses of water. I was the driver lol. It was very cool and enjoyable inside ( despite the heat outside) and decided we would come back later in the summer to try out the other menu items. Check them out. There is a full bar and nice dining areaMore

I was just taken to Carlito's for my birthday last weekend, and it did not disappoint! The menu is extensive and somewhat innovative, the portions are generous, and the service is excellent! Their fresh-baked rolls (served with seasoned olive oil and butter) are AMAZING and...so light! It is hard not to make a meal out them before your entree comes. Their desserts are generous, too! The ambiance is lovely - it is light, bright, and airy while still cozy. I was there for lunch, but I am told it gets pretty busy for dinner. You know it is high-quality if my fussy, critical, hard-to-please, Italian-born father just RAVES about the food and the service. It is a nicer place, so dress casual or better would be appropriate - but whether it is a casual lunch or romantic night out, you need to go. It will not disappoint.More

Some tables deserve table cloths - others don't. You aren't allowed to order a large pizza in the dining room. The spaghetti comes with minimal sauce. The filet of sole comes with a breading that looks more like nasal discharge - slimy, rubbery, tasteless. Basically...just yuck....More

Started with a reasonably priced wine which was good, ordered clams as an appetizer, also good, but the best was the ravioli in marinara. The ravioli was house made and had an excellent sauce, also plentiful portion, highly recommend. Forgot to mention that the salad...comes with the meal, something most restaurants don't do anymore.More

A group of about 30 of us converged on Carlitos for lunch. Good things were had by many, and nobody complained... remarkable from a fussy group of seniors who dine out a lot. The veal parm was excellent, as was the egg rolatinne. My linguini...with clams was good but not great... clams were tough and over cooked. Portions were large, and lots of people took home doggie bags. All in all a pleasant outing.More

Carlito’s used to be one of my favorite spots for great food. However over the years both the food product and the quality of service have seriously declined. I honestly and sincerely believe it’s time for the owners to take stock in their place of...business and breathe fresh air into it. As of this writing I am no longer a customer.More
