actually i do...the number one complaint about gold's is that it is not so clean....hmmm...that maybe true but i never notice...i am too busy debating myself whether to have a bagel or a bialy and whether to do nova or whitefish.....the food is very good...it blows away oscars....sometimes it feels like a geriatric center in there...but this is THE deli... Gold's is located I n the Compo Shopping Center on the Post Rd. in Westport. It is a traditional Jewish deli which has been around Westport for many years and is very popular with the locals. The deli serves excellent soups, I love their matzoh ball. They also serve great sandwiches, the tuna is a stand out. They carry a... More

I've tried this deli so many times and now I'm fed up with saying 'no more'. That's it. The pastrami is miserable. It's pale in color, very fatty, limp, and no flavor. The rye bread is very mild and uninteresting. The bagels are hard as a rock. The kippered salmon -- don't even try it. Either too dry and salty... More

Very friendly busy on the weekends get bagels lox and whitefish. Lox cream cheese is the real thing full of lox. Family owned and caring. Great matzoh ball chicken soup if you're under the weather.

This 50 y/o man has been going here since I was a kid. I would rotate between Arts and Golds. Art is gone so Golds is it. Rye, Corned Beef, Chicken Liver, Bermuda onion, deli mustard. Amazing. Huge selection typical New York Attitudes which are what they are.

Gold's is a Westport fixture - been stopping by here for more than 20 years. In all, a reasonable facsimile of New York kosher deli, but New York and kosher it ain't. Think of it as a suburban interpretation of the real thing. Corned beef and pastrami are good, kosher salami not too bad, but portions are adequate, not heapingly... More

We stopped for a quick lunch on the way home. We. Shared corned beef and pastrami sandwiches and matzo ball soup. First the good: Dr Browns creme soda is always wonderful and the service was excellent. Now the not so good: the meat was awful and the soup tasted like it was made from powdered mix. Lunch was $35. I... More

Slice of deli heaven.. Good deli sandwiches in a causal deli atmosphere New York style.... Good pastrami and corned beef combo with a little Coke slaw and thousand Island dressing and toasted rye- oh yeah baby... We also had the whitefish salad sandwich and done good old fashion matzah ball soup...and good prices too

Sometimes I just have to have a corned beef sandwich with matzoh ball soup and a sour pickle. Gold's never fails to deliver a delicious experience. I'm sure their other food is great, but when I can have corned beef why order anything else? My family loves sour pickles and when we have a family get-together coming up and I... More

There is always a line waiting for food and always 4 people in the back making the food, and a few more up front sacking up your delicacies. Everything is fresh fresh fresh. For Jewish food, this is the only place to go in Fairfield County.
