This place is fantastic! Excellent food, gorgeous location, casual atmosphere. Try the banana cream pie. You won't regret it. FYI - BYOB.

The place looks like a campy dive from the road. The good folks at Atlantic Seafood Market had recommended Edd's. I am so glad they did! The chowder was fresh, brightly flavored. A bit salty but I'm sensitive to salt. The swordfish was moist, tender and flavored well. Love getting good local food at an outside, waterfront picnic table. Everyone... More

Edd's is on a marsh with great views from the picnic tables or the little enclosed eating place (which is handy if it is windy or raining). We have been here several times. This last time we didn't feel like lobster, so I got the crab melt and my husband got the fried chicken (dry and hard). DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!... More

Edd's has been our go to spot for summer meals for years. My family and I mostly eat breakfast & dinner here and we have for 10 years, every summer, and fall. The owners always greet us by name and it feels like a home away from home. It is a very casual spot, you go inside and order at... More

We have stopped here almost everyday of our vacation in Westbrook and we loved every meal! We tried breakfast the first day and both tried a special Eggs Benedict with a basil hollandaise sauce and WOW , that was hands down the best Benedict either of us has ever had. We had the lobster rolls, terrific. We Swordfish our last... More

My husband and I decided to stop at Edds place for a nice breakfast by the water. You go into the small building and place your order at the counter. There is also a small deli case there. You pay there, grab your drinks; coffee, ice tea, o.j., etc. and find a seat outside at a picnic table, or in... More

The homemade flavors in Edd's dishes are really yummy - and quite a marvelous change from the 'fried everything' at the nearby [much more popular] places. I tried the 'stuffed zucchini' the other night when I wanted something relatively light, but both filling and flavorful. A winner. Zucchini with a homemade meatsauce.... We already knew the fish is tremendous and... More

You will pass a lot of other more well known places getting to Edd's, which is pretty much a roadside stop, but this is a must stop along the stretch. The lobster salad rolls here is by far the best and makes it worth a special trip. The rolls are pricey but huge, more than one sitting's worth. Nice view... More

For the prices and positive reviews I read, I really expected a lot better. For me, 5 words sum it up. Expensive and average at best.

Went to Westbrook on a whim with my wife on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We did look at reviews prior to our 1 hour trip and settled on Edd's Place. Edd's is just another roadside seafood joint with picnic tables and peeling paint. It's no big deal. I'm glad it wasn't busy, as the service was a bit slow.... More
