Family wanted a late lunch and seafood!! Traveled from Hartford area and had a wonderful lunch at Lenny and Joe's. Adults had the lobster roll platters wish I could have gotten two rolls they were so good!! Enjoyed the lobster with butter rather then a mayonnaise mix. Children 9 and 11 had the pick two lunches and enjoyed their choices... More

Found this on Yelp. Stopped by and the cars outside quickly said this was a place for good food. It did not disappoint. Native fish like the Bluefish and the Long Island Oysters where excellent.

This location is not on the water, but it is still a wonderful spot for classic New England seafood platters. A great deal for lunch, especially. They often have 3-4 specials that are either fried or broiled, most come with sides. You can have warm crusty bread before your meal. My husband who only eats fits and chips, loves the... More

Spent the week on Cape and never had my fried clams. Stopped here for a late lunch on the way home to PA. Awesome seafood platter.

We have not found a better place in CT to get fried scallops and whole-belley clams. The fresh fish like swordfish and salmon are delicious, and the fried fish is also wonderful.

It's an institution, I know. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing - I had the broiled sole, which is light, tender and delicious when cooked well. But it can be fickle. My entire was dried out, unfortunately. The boiled potatoes and steamed veggies were tasty. My friends enjoyed the fried seafood platters, which is probably the best thing to... More

Don't bother with the lobster salad... Chewy frozen lobster on a bed of Romaine lettuce with cold tomatoes... No flavor to any of it.... Bland bland bland.

We used to live nearby and still have friends in the area...L&J's has been delighting diners since they were located up the road across from Safeway (decades!). Cozy, beachy atmosphere, with all the souvenir shirts and hats to meet all the other L&J diners you'll get to meet when you go back to your home state. Whole Belly Clams....not available... More

Good seafood. No frills. Helpful gluten free menu. Has Tito's vodka which is gluten free. Kids had chicken fingers and fish and chips with French fries. They were happy. Adults had PEI mussels, the stuffed shrimp, and the shrimp and crab casserole. Good food w ample portions.

Lenny & Joe's serves good seafood at reasonable prices. The whole belly clam roll and coleslaw were very good, while the french fries were just okay. I plan to order the onion rings next visit (they are excellent!) - I tried one of my friend's. For travelers seeking souvenirs, Lenny & Joe's also sells an interesting array of items: attractive...
