I'm sad that I can't leave a zero star review. I have a SERVICE DOG prescribed to me by a psychiatric to help with my PTSD. I was trying to be seated outside BUT THEY WOULD NOT SEAT ME! The hostess asked me what is...wrong with me that I require a service dog (illegal) and then ROLLED HER EYES when I told her (I'm not even kidding - literally rolled her eyes!!!) Then she said she was getting the manager who came out and said I was not permitted to enter. I offered to show my paperwork (that isn't even required) but he again said that I couldn't enter with the WELL TRAINED SERVICE DOG because it only is for housing or travel. I informed him that it is not an emotional support dog but a PSYCHIATRIC SERVICE DOG PRESCRIBED TO ME but he wouldn't let me in. So embarrassing for me! I reassured the manager that this is a service dog protected under the ADA and he just walked away and said I could return without the dog. WOULD YOU TELL SOMEBODY WITH A WHEELCHAIR OR OXYGEN TANK THAT THEY COULDN'T USE THEM IN THE RESTAURANT?More

My favourite restaraunt in the area - tasty lobser rolls and other LI sound-type fare, friendly servers and a lively bar scene. They have set up a large tent at the front for "outdoor" service, but you can also sit on the usual waterfront terrace...(cold but very COVID-safe). Cash only, but with an ATM on the premises.More

The setting is really nice on the river. The service and food however was only average. Nothing stood out and the service was slow.

Love to go to Bill’s year round but especially in the summer and eat out on the back deck on the water. They have fabulous seafood -lobster, oysters, clams, mussels, steamers, scallops, fish etc... for the non sea foodie you can get a chicken sandwich,...veggie burger, club sandwich, angus burger, hot dog, chicken parmigiana , prime rob etc... Oh the corn beef and cabbage is to die for and not just during their huge St Patrick’s day celebration! They have Rhode Island clam chowder and New England clam chowder. It’s a great place for lunch or dinner. They have something for everyone chowders, salads, raw bar, appetizers, fried stuff, sandwiches or meals. Fabulous drink specials a nice beer list and draft beer selection. Across the street from safe harbor/pilots point marina Westbrook, right on the water, beautiful view of the boats. Icecream shop next door yum! Cash only they do have an ATMMore

The setting is nice, and they do a good job for protection from COVID-19. Our server was very good. The food, however, is only ordinary. The whole clams had very small bellies. The shrimp was just OK.

I used to Come here often many years ago. Not as good as I remembered but not horrible either. I wished there was more food on the platter. Expensive for what I got. Waited a bit which was expected due to the seating arrangements. The...server was good but was extremely busy. She was as attentive if we actresses our needs. Overs food was OK. Felt kinda hungry still. I would go back and try again in the future. Not soon thou.More

While visiting Connecticut with my family, a friend recommended Bill’s Seafood in Westbrook, Ct, so we decided to drive forty minutes out of our way to dine there. Upon arriving, we saw the sign that said service animals were allowed so we informed the greeter...that we had a service animal and he told us it was no problem, go on out to the deck seating that we had requested. There was a wait to get a waterside table, so we waited for about thirty mins. Before sitting at our table, the hostess got her manager to approve the service animal, so we sat down. We were looking over the menu when a guy approached our table and very rudely informed us that the dog could not be in the restaurant. We told him she was a service animal and he asked what kind of service animal she was/ what was it for, (which is illegal). We have traveled the world and have never been treated this way, so after a brief back- and- forth with him, we got up to leave and he said we could stay but the dog would have to remain in the car, which we would never do when it is almost 90 degrees outside. Needless to say, we will never go back to this place and I urge every pet lover to avoid this place like the Corona Virus! Also, on our way through the restaurant towards the exit, we noticed how filthy the place was, and for the prices that they were charging, you'd think they could have used real plates and flatware, so not very eco-friendly either. This was during the pandemic and the employees weren’t wearing their masks over their nose and there was very little social distancing, even though the place was packed. I wish I could rate this with negative numbers… As a heads up, for the best bet while in Westbrook, go a little further down the road to Lenny and Joe’s Fish Tales. Great food, great service, pet friendly and a lot for your money (real plates and flatware as well)!More

Place is always packed! (Especially now w social distancing) Indoor, Outside Under tent or Patio seating. It was worth the wait. Ordered the fried calamari that had olives and jalapenos on it. It would have been GREAT if I had gotten more olives and Jalapenos....I paid 2 bucks more for the toppings and got a spoon full, if that. Other than that it was really good. Nice and fresh & the breading was light. We split a SWORD FISH RUBEN sandwich. IT WAS AMAZING! Super impressed. Nicely seasoned, FRESH, perfectly cooked filet w all the RUBEN toppings. Swiss Cheese, Coleslaw & Russian dressing on a NICELY toasted & buttered RYE bread. (Make sure you ask for RYE, they serve it on wheat. No clue why?) CASH ONLY!!!!!!! We left full and happy. Thank you Bills for a great experience!More
