The service here has always been top notch. The meals have always been well prepared and presented. Good wine list. If you want something special, ask. Love to go here.

Ate here with family while visiting Waterbury...I had very high hopes based on the ratings here and the classic architecture and styling of the place...drinks were generously poured...overall atmosphere was what you want in a longtime established northeast Italian eatery...the Cesear dressing was excellent and the salad overall was generously portioned...my filet with gorgonzola was satisfactory while the accompanying sides... In downtown Waterbury, in the middle of the business district, is an upscale, lovely Italian restaurant residing in an old building. The inside has both tables and old wooden booths like that of an old-time pub. There is a beautiful tin ceiling and the original small-tiled floor. Very elegantly done. The booths have imitation Tiffany-style lamps. Otherwise, it's dark, only... More

We dined here on a Saturday night, 6:30 and were impressed by the decor. The interior is dark wood, possibly mahogany, and the tables set with linen and heavy silverware - befitting a restaurant of this class. Our booth was comfortable and our server prompt. We were a party of four and only two people wanted cocktails and one person... More

I visited this restaurant because my work was organizing a corporate meal for some clients. True, there was a 45 minute presentation that had to be sat through, but call me what you want, just don't call me late for dinner! I was one of the first ones there, and the projector screen and table was already all set up.... More

My husband and I have dined here before, and the food is great. My concern with our last visit was our entrées came out in 7 minutes from when we placed our order. The Veal Diorio's I had was not very warm, but my husbands chicken and sausage was. It made me wonder when my dish was actually prepared. Otherwise... More

I attended my brother's graduation at the Palace Theater last night. Upon leaving I checked Tripadvisor for a close restaurant and we asked a cop directing traffic. Both came up with Diorio's. We had an excellent meal. They are more than willing to deviate from their menu to suit you. We had apps, dinner and dessert which were all excellent.... More

I have heard a lot about this restaurant and it did not disappoint us. We were there for a business dinner. My colleague and I enjoyed the food. Appetizers: Shrimp cocktail Main: Ribeye, Pasta The house wine suggested by our waitress went well with my ribeye. The ambiance reminded me of one of the old school restaurants in NY City.

Diorio's is a trip down through history, and a very tasty trip too! My husband and I celebrated my Birthday at Diorio's. We sat in the bar area, which is lovely and private in a private booth, but you still get to enjoy being in the historical part of the restaurant. The bar itself is a heavy and beautifully carved...
