Visiting family who frequent this place and they took us for dinner and it was ridiculously good. Ordered the braciola special and it had a great flavor, the sauce was delicious. My gf had the haddock and it too was spectacular. We couldn’t get over the quality and flavor! We had a week of subpar meals at different restaurants and were loosing faith in the CT restaurant scene, but this place was a welcomed surprise. Def the best meal we had and will recommend and return!

I recently hosted a post-memorial service luncheon for family and friends. 21 people attended, all were very pleased with food and service. I highly recommend Verdi restaurant.

Been here a few times. Have had great meals. Last night was mediocre. The one thing that really annoyed us was that we ordered boneless chicken wings as an app. When they arrived, they were actually chicken tender type chicken (huge) just basted in the spicy sweet sauce. We mentioned to the waitress that they were not wings and her reply was "well they are boneless". I said "yes, but not wings" My point was that this app was more like a meal, which we did not want a meal before our meal, so we took half home, so we weren't too full for our main dish. Main dishes were warm, not hot and just average. I once had the turkey panini, and it was awesome. We will go back just won't order the boneless non-wing chicken wings.

We’ve been going to Verdi’s for years and it’s always been on point. The past 2 times ( both Saturday nights ), the “newish” bartender was awful. This past Saturday my husband and I sat at the bar , as we usually do, ready to enjoy a couple drinks and have dinner. After about 5 minutes Dennis , who was working the other side of the bar and not in our section, came over and asked if we were all set to which I replied not yet. He took our drink order and promptly returned with them. He then went back to his customers, understandably. Our bartender never acknowledged us or even made eye contact in 45 minutes !! She took care of the people on either side of us and literally never even looked at us. I look at my husband and say seriously, are we invisible? 45 minutes and nothing! Dennis must have sensed we were annoyed, came over and asked if everything was ok. I explained we planned on having dinner but haven’t even been acknowledged yet so we were leaving. He was very apologetic ( not his fault at all ) and refused payment for the 2 drinks we had that HE served us. Just can’t understand how this bartender served the customers on both sides of us and completely ignored my husband and I .

We decided to try somewhere new. We walked in to a crowed Verdi and quickly got a table. The cheese/meat appetizer was delicious. The salads that followed we also good. The chicken Milanese dish was just OK. The haddock dish was just ok. Nice lively atmosphere.

This place probably doesn't need another 5 star review, however I believe that it would only be proper and all together fitting to acknowledge and mention how good the hospitality was in addition to the excellent level of service we were provided. We had a small group ranging from a 100 year old WWII veteran, in a wheelchair, to a small 4 year old child. Each one has their own needs, however the people at Verdi, including the owner himself, I believe his name is Anthony, set out from the moment we walked in the door to insure we had a pleasant dining experience. Anyone who has dined here knows that the quality of the food being served as well as its preparation is difficult to surpassed. Prime steak, Plume De Veau Veal , along with a selection of fresh seafoods, have almost all been completely eradicated from the menus of most restaurants due to the significant increase in food costs associated with inflation today. Not at this place! Neither the quality or the portion sizes, which were incredibly large, were being compromised on account of inflation. What is hard to understand is the cost. I couldn't prepare this food at home for what they charge. In addition they still provide bread, soup or salad as part of each meal. If you go there on a beautiful day and sit on one of the outdoor terraces overlooking the golf coarse and the hills of Waterbury, CT, you couldn't ask for a better setting, better service, or better food than what you will get here. Thank you to all who made our dining experience GREAT!

We had a surprise birthday party in a semi private room at Verdi's and everything was perfect.
The food selection and taste was excellent as was the service.

The Crosby class of 1969 recently held our 50 reunion at Verdi’s and we couldn’t be more pleased with the facility, food, waitstaff and bartender. Everything was fantastic. Special thanks to chef (and classmate), Milo Flannery and owner Tony D’amelio.

Went for the first time a few days ago, they have a menu that can accommodate most people, both restuarant and bar menu. The Calamari neapolitan was amazing. The scallops were also very good. The staff is well trained and quick to service the table. There are many booths to choose from as well as outdoor seating next to golf course. Also a large bar .. I would recommend and we will be back.

To be quite honest, I have lost track on how many times I have been here. Verdi is absolutely amazing. I love every single thing on the menu like the; pasta alla vodka, lasagna, pasta fagioli, every single chicken dish, every salad, and 100% the lobster roll. You can't go wrong when coming here. There is literally a meal for everyone. I have been here so many times for parties (which the service and catered food is just as amazing as coming in for a normal meal). Even when getting food for take out its perfection. Not only is the food great but the workers and owners as well. If you're looking for a great place to have a fantastic meal, Verdi is the place to come. Also since it is summer, I definitely say get the lobster roll, because you will not regret it.

Party of 4 for Mother's Day Brunch at Verdi's Restaurant at Western Hills. We arrived for 2 pm, and Amber was our server. The $29.95 brunch was more impressive and inclusive than I expected (see photos for menu), and everyone in my party was pleased, including my mother; let's face it, she was the person I was most concerned about! The brunch price included coffee, tea, soda, or drinks of that type. Anything with alcohol was extra, so of course, we added some mimosas ($9/each) and a pear martini ($10/each) to the bill. Having a wine and cocktail menu and the full bar available was a nice touch. The restaurant was not packed at 2 pm, but considering the brunch lasted only until 3 pm, being 80% full was a clear indication that this place is popular.
As for the brunch buffet, no complaints. The hot items were hot, and the cold items were chilled well. The dessert offerings were outstanding, and I include pastries in that category, though those were really part of the breakfast options. I chose mostly breakfast items (pan roasted strada, applewood smoked bacon), but others enjoyed the pan seared chicken breast, pan roasted Maine haddock, and baked fleur di lis ham dishes. I admit, the baked ham was outstanding.
We left room for dessert and we were not sorry. Before tip, the total for the 4 of us came to $157.19. Amber was wonderful, so we tipped accordingly. I remain impressed with this Mother's Day Brunch and see that my mother was right (as usual) in selecting Verdi for today's outing.

Our family likes to go to Verdi because there is something for everyone there. Sandwiches are big and fresh. Pasta and meals are good. Atmosphere is fun.

We went to Verdi on a Sunday night and it was very quiet. There are doors (fortunately) to separate the dining room from the bar with its numerous televisions. Our server was helpful and friendly.

Its on the premises of the Western Hills golf course and you would not think its going to be as good as it is. Great Italian and the bread is fantastic. I had Rack of lamb and it was cooked to my perfection. The owner personally walks around each table and asks how things are. The only negative is that it can get a bit noisy due to the golf bar crowd which is close to the dinning room. Cloth napkins and table cloths, its NOT pub food but you can get that if desired. Extensive menu.
