We were a group of 24 and they lost our reservation. Who knows what the food is like. Be careful when booking to make sure you are actually speaking to the manager.

We went to see Bill Engval at the Warner Theatre and wanted a local dinner close by to the venue. This restaurant hit the spot. It was very good food. The staff was very nice and friendly. Our waitress was great and personable. Reasonable prices. Kid friendly. Restaurant was clean and the ambiance was perfect.

The beer selection on tap is very good. The burgers are very reasonable and come with fries or a salad (salad $3 extra). The lobster roll tasted weird, as in borderline fresh, but it was heavily seasoned and I think fried, so couldn't tell. Nice enough for the area. Stick to beer and burgers.

Wow!!!! For a local establishment I really couldn't believe how awesome the steak was. I didn't have high hopes when my wife suggested I order it, but I'd say it was probably one of the most perfectly cooked pieces of steak I have had in quite some time. I've eaten at some very high end steak houses as well! The... More

If you're looking for a great dinner with a GIANT beer selection, backstage is where you need to be! They have 40 taps and 70 beers in bottles with almost weekly tap take overs! The food is great too! From burgers to meatloaf backstage has it all! Great place

I've stayed at the Yankee Pedlar Inn across the street a few times, and this is consistently the best place around, it seems. The restaurant that used to be attached to the hotel closed down a while back. It was good, but somewhat expensive. I had eaten dinner at the Venetian in 2013 and quality and amount of food per... It's a fun Pub Style Dining. One drawback is it's very noisy Acoustics are very bad and the bars usually pretty loud there is just a half wall separating the bar from the dining room. However there's a walkway that goes right into the Warner Theater from the restaurant itself. I would always recommend reservations because they do fill up... More

Great fresh food, both classic and new exciting preparations. Friendly happy to help you wait staff. Over 40 IPA draft beers, who would have guested in Torrington. Must try!

Food is always excellent, the beer selection is amazing. Polite staff. Never disappointed. It can be a little pricey and make sure to make reservations or you'll never get in on a weekend.

Backstage, located next to the Warner Theatre in downtown Torrington, serves casual American food from its full "all-day" menu, prepared fresh from scratch. Service begins daily at 11:30am, and the kitchen stays open late on performance evenings for after-theatre dining. Select from crisp salads and hot soups, creative Small Plates, Perfect Burgers of hand formed Angus patties on house-baked rolls, popular sandwiches, and Big Plate comfort favorites. House-made desserts are a specialty. The antique mahogany bar soars 14 feet above the trendy zinc counter, and presides over northwest Connecticut's largest offering of craft-brewed beers. 24 brands are available on tap, with the bottle selection at more than 70. The well-rounded wine list is popularly priced, with several wines offered by the glass. Customer service is a passion at Backstage.
