The fresh seafood is excellent, the steak is usually very good, but the blackened black angus burger ... Now that is definitely worth the title of the best burger in the country. I drove through 28 states in 28 days a few years back in a hydrogen powered 72' convertible Mustang, We ate burgers every where in the east, south,... More

Pleasant wait staff eager to please your requests! Food was delicious and to our specifications! A request was made as to a modification on an appetizer; this was done without the slightest hesitation!

Great place with rotating taps and great burgers. Seafood is also good. Large bar many booths. Good prices easy off Route 8.

My gf just got out of the hospital and was craving a seafood dinner. On our way home we stopped by Crabby Al's. We didn't mind the loud guys at the bar and the football games. I actually wanted to see a few of those games myself and positioned myself to see the tvs at the bar. The food was... More

Food was VERY good, no complaints. We were there for the band, had full dinner in the bar. Service was good.

On a recent trip to Torrington, we stopped off in Thomaston to hit a hot dog place that to our dismay was closed. As we headed toward the Rt. 8 northbound exit, we drove through town and came upon Crabby Al's. The front was crowded with bikers but they looked pretty much like the weekend type, so we were not... The food is great - you know that it is good every time you walk in there. Prime rib is great and seafood is awesome. Friendly staff and they have bands on the weekends and a raw bar on Thursdays. They also have the BEST burgers around.

My family (parents, husband, 2 girls 10 and 13) frequent Crabby Al's on a regular basis - at least once a mint for raw bar and dinner. Drinks are generous, as are portions. Raw bar sells a dozen of raw clams for $5 - it's a steal - they are delicious and fresh. We also frequently do take out and... More

Great raw bar experience. Shrimp, oysters on the half shell and raw clams were delicious as was the steamers. Lots of fun though crowded...go early..

Very good menu offering everything from bar food to full dinner. Always look for the specials of the day. On my last visit I had a fish sandwich to die for. If your real hungry go for a burger and don't forget the homemade chips!

Thank John D
