I ordered dumplings which were in a delicious dark sauce- perfect. Also had a bowl of noodle soup that was chock full of meat, veggies and of course noodles. The broth was sublime. Will definitely be going back when in the area.

Just wanting to stay home and avoid the noise and traffic. We collectively decided to get Thai from Dao Fusion. It was an excellent decision. Everyone was very happy.

I enjoyed the food and the ambience of the place. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant a 5 was that the service was a little slow and the restaurant was practically empty.
I would still go back to this restaurant and get the tamarind duck and the duck buns -they tasted like heaven!

Sushi for dinner with sea urchin saki shooters. Six of has has a nice selection of sushi, salmon, orange chicken washed down with Sapporo beer. Well worth the visit.

This was a pleasant surprise on our weekend college tour. Restaurant offers a wide variety of Asian cuisine. We shared Chinese appetizers (spring rolls and dumplings). My wife and son each had Vietnamese beef pho bowls (HUGE!) while I opted for Thai chicken drunken noodles. My dish was very good but the pho was outstanding! All portions were nicely sized to HUGE! All were delicious and expertly presented by a very pleasant and attentive wait staff. Although there was a full bar with lots of enticing drink specials, we opted for some house white wine which was perfect for our meals. We ended our night with fried Oreo's and ice cream (WHAT!!?!?) and some tempura ice cream - both enormous portions that we had trouble finishing. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable with a variety of seating options (traditional table, bar tables, and sunken tables) - but was perhaps a little "dated" overall. Prices were very reasonable - especially considering the portions, quality, and presentation. Highly recommended!

This place offers both Chinese and Japanese cuisine to choose from. The food was excellent. Two of us thoroughly enjoyed the sushi. The Chinese appetizers were superb as well. Our cute waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

Visited with a group of 3 people.
1 allergic a to gluten and the other 2 not.
After explaining to a very nice waitress, more than 4 times to not have ANY gluten....Wham!!! A Gluten attack in 20minutes from the food.
Something was clearly lost form the waitress to the chef.
That said the food the other 2 had was tasty and great, certainly worth the visit. But enjoyment was lost as a result of Gluten attack.
They need to get chef on the same page as waitress, or risk a law suit!

Dao was our "go to" place for years. I wrote a rave review about 4 years ago. I have to agree with ctglfr's review below. The previous owner "Tek" encouraged all of his former customers to continue to eat @ Dao. We did. Twice. We used to love the sushi, and it just doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be. We will not be returning.

My husband and I would frequent this place and considered it top notch! We have not been back since the new owners took over until today. Our favorite dishes are now cooked differently and the quality of the food was not as fresh. We will not be returning and that is very unfortunate.

In a world full of Asian fusion restaurants, Dao is a delightful treat! We went for dinner and ordered 4 appetizers - their cream cheese wonton, a dumpling special, rock shrimp tempura, and calamari. The cream cheese wonton was one of the best I've ever tried. The dumplings and shrimp was amazing. The calamari was ok. For entrees we ordered chicken & cashew, lo mein, pork fried rice and sushi. All delicious! The pork fried rice was again, some of the best I've tried. Sushi was super fresh. The restaurant was small and intimate with 2 cute, private booths. Our waitress, Linda, was so sweet and helpful. Definitely going back!

A great restaurant for fusion Thai/Japanese. Calamari with sweet chili sauce is excellent. Peking Duck is awesome. Great Sushi. Lychee Martini is very tasty.

apparently Dao changed hands some time in early 2017, and things are not quite what they used to be. We found that the food was not as fresh as it used to be and that favorite dishes were now being prepared differently. After a second trip we have decided not to patronize Dao any longer. We miss Tec.

The food is okay, and so is the service. The decor is pretty mediocre as well - it's a little dark, and not in a romantic kind of way. I had sushi and it really wasn't any better than store bought. My husband's meal was just okay too. I would try it again, but it was nothing special.

I ve had alot of different items at Dao fusion all have been very tasty
seared tuna is very good also the ceviche and the oysters are really amazing but also unique
There are so many rolls that are great like the Yum Yum and The Honeymoon roll also the out of control roll

They made a beautiful platter for me to take to the downtown Cabaret in Bridgeport of sushi that impressed my friends so much and it tasted fantastic. Thank you so much it tasted fantastic, highly recommend
