This is a great restaurant to dine in. The gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwiches are very nice to eat. The drinks are pretty great to drink as well

Our group of 7 family members with 3 children stopped for lunch after the kids' baseball games. Sadly they were out of hot dogs, but were very accommodating and came from behind the counter to tell us we could all sit together (& moved a...table over to make it happen). They were busy and it was a little noisy (of course, with limited seating, I suppose in normal times the noise would be worse, but then there wouldn't be masks muting one's words and a plexiglass wall to hamper hearing). A couple of mistakes were made in our order, but they were most kind to correct them at no charge. We adults were all clean platers! I have dinged them one star because I happened to see one of the staff plop a foot on the counter--not the most hygienic practice, although not too harmful since the food is on plates which are on trays.More

We ate outside and it felt very safe. The staff were extremely nice and friendly. The new menu was good, although I do miss some of their little plates like the jerk chicken and the ricotta dip. The panna cotta with toasted coconut was (literally)...one of the best desserts I've ever had.More

We weren't sure what to expect at Dog Lane Cafe in Storrs, Ct, but were absolutely mesmerized by the expansive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoyed our carrot/ginger soup and clam chowders, which we ordered because we weren't sure our ahi tuna tacos...would be ample. We liked the soups, but we didn't need them. The taco were very well prepared with a pineapple salsa and a spicy chipotle mayo. The only thing we might have changed was the wrap, which was a rather tough flatbread, not a tortilla. We wouldn't mind flatbread, but this one was quite chewy and not very flexible as finger food. The salsa was great and the tuna prepared rare, was just right. The service is cute, with playing cards for servers to deliver food to the right tables, and a casual, but very eclectic ambiance throughout, including blackboard menu, which changes throughout the night as popular meals--like shrimp pasta--are sold out. We shall return to this place--maybe even for breakfast or lunch if we're close by.More

Just off the Uconn campus. We had lunch here and it was very nice. Open dining as you order and they deliver to your table. Food is very good.

Food is always rich, healthy (if you choose!), and fresh. Great menu and drinks. Often see professors dining along with students and their families. Great warm atmosphere.

Brunch, sandwiches, soups, coffee and great dessert selection. Check out their daily specials too. They also serve wine and beer.

The sandwiches at lunch were very good. The portions are small for an $11 sandwich (even with the small bag of chips). If you want table service, this is not your spot. All orders take place at the counter and the food is brought to...your table. It gets very crowded at lunch time, so there is a definite feel to eat and move on. Still, the quality of food was excellent.More
