First time here, me and my wife had lunch here today and was pleasantly surprised how good the meal was. I got the swordfish my wife got the rainbow trout and both were fantastic. I also got the sfd chowder but for!$7 bucks I didn't think it warranted that price.

My daughter & I went for dinner tonight, it is definitely going downhill fast. It was my 2nd favorite restaurant in Stonington but they hit new lows. My daughter's fluke was full of bones. My $22.00 Filet was 2 tiny pieces that looked like they came off someone elses plate. They were so small I thought they forgot the meat.... More

Our favorite place in the borough. Chat with locals and newcomers, enjoy the Holland Jazz band on a Sunday, always fresh seafood, oysters and clams.

This is a smallish restaurant but has excellent food. We go at least 3 times a year. A favorite place for our out of town guests,

Very good local, low key restaurant. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. Portions are large. Our server was pleasant and attentive.

On our last night in Stonington we decided to go to Water Street Cafe, and are we ever glad we did. My wife and I feel it's the best place in town to eat. Creative menu with fresh dishes. To start off we had some delicious shrimp cocktail and for entree, I had the Portuguese stew and my wife the... More

This was by far the best of the 3 dinners we had in Stonington. Lively atmosphere, great staff. Roast salmon on a bed of shoots and chickpeas with a lemon-basil vinagrette for me and a petit fillet for my husband. Both delicious and the right portion sizes.

I was very surprised with the quality of seafood and price! We can't get this kind in NY or NJ area. Will come back again!

I visited Water Street Cafe for dinner on an August weeknight. Service was excellent and the dining room was full and lively. There was a comfortable and pleasant mix of all ages, including small children. My meal was unfortunately not what I expected. I was surprised given my dining companion's rave review of her previous meals. For my entree, I... More

We ran in at 9:45 and they welcomed us like it was 6 pm. Clam chowder is yummy and highly recommend the beet and goat cheese salad. BBQ pork is huge chunks with a bit of a bite. Serves some local brews.
