In 1947, The Pellicci family opened their restaurant in the Heart of Stamford, it is Italian West Side. By 1955, a loyal and expanding clientele made it necessary to enlarge our facilities and our menu which featured a secret family recipe for baked chicken. Now after 70 years, we invite you to visit our lounge with its mahogany bar, whispering waterfall and stained glass ceiling. Maybe it an off night but.....

First time at Pellicci's and I must say I was disappointed. It was a lively atmosphere but the food was pretty average, at best. Four of us ordered different meals and no one was impressed. One of the pasta dishes was delivered luke warm and had to be returned to the kitchen before it was edible. I started with fried calamari which was favorable but a bit under done and a little mushie. I got a huge portion of linguine with meat sauce and peppers. It lacked any zest but i finished it. They have a good wine selection but I think it was a bit overpriced. The place was jammed so maybe our experience was unusual and caused by being a bad night.

Great place for a rehearsal dinner!

We had our rehearsal dinner, over 40 people, at Pellicci's. The food was excellent and service was great! The staff was very attentive to details and took care of all our needs. We had family style meal, with plenty of food for everyone, even our gluten free people got to have pasta. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Stopped for lunch on the way to Rhode Island. The food was excellent, and I ordered short rib ravioli with a red pepper cream sauce. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely come again!

I had to pick up an order

I placed an order of baked chicken and I picked it up, got home, ready to eat and what do I find but a hair, a very long curly hair. I called back the lady who answered insisted that the pppl in the back wear hair nets, clearly someone wasn’t wearing theirs. She basically said there’s nothing she could do about it, I’ve been ordering from this place for years. Never again!!! Threw my meal out. Gross peliccis’s.

Falls short of the memories

I was a regular customer years ago. It was amazing in the 90’s and 00’s. Hadn’t been in a long time and recently heard good things so I thought I would give it a try again. Maybe it was because I did takeout at the end of the night but it was disappointing. The salad was fresh and the high point of my meal. I ordered Capellini with mushroom sauce and hot sausage, my old favorite . I received meatballs no sausage, not a big deal but I would have preferred just the pasta and remove the charge for the sausage. The dish itself was ok sauce but the mushrooms were not cooked and there were not many of them. It was ok but definitely not what it was. I finished my meal with my other favorite from there the lemon cake.. It was tasty however a very small slice, which is totally out of character for the restaurant . I’m not sure if the small slice was on purpose or that was what was left at the end of the night. I will always have fond memories of dinners there with family and friends. The countless parties in the back room always very well done. Maybe it was my timing or maybe you just can’t recapture old times.

They go above and beyond - also gluten-free no problem

We are from Stamford but have lived away for years and stop back here often and also have lots of events there (birthday parties, after-funeral receptions etc.) and they are always great and we love the food. Last time I was home we had a little informal reunion of our family and just booked a table - we didn't know how many we would have. Ended up with 17 people. They took it in stride, made us fell totally welcome, and even managed separate checks for the different groups and all orders and checks were perfect. They really know what they are doing - thank god since I didn't. I owe them for the great experience.

One of the best Italian restaurants

It is a family-run restaurant that has been in business for decades with a lot of celebrities photos hanging on the wall. But most importantly food is comparable or better than Italian restaurants all over the world including in Italy. We love their Anchovy pizza, chicken scarpariello, chicken marsala and seafood special in diablo sauce and several others.

It the place for large groups

Food was mediocre at best. I make better pasta at home with a jar of ragu. Service was slow, no offer of extra dressing for salad and no dessert. When host was asked if he wanted dessert he said no not realizing it was for the whole party! It should have run a bit smoother. For the price just not worth it

Always Great Food

Pellicci has been in our lives since I was a child and my family had my first communion dinner there. Consistently good food cooked by a family that has passed down their recipes from generation to generation. Service is always very good with help that’s been there for years. Family friendly or find a cozy booth for you and your date. I love going here and have been going for over 50 years!!

Family Event

Attended a family event at Pellicci which was held in their buffet room (decent size- their regular dining area though is “tight” no so friendly if someone is disabled.) We were severed “THE TRADITIONAL FAMILY STYLE DINNER”. The food was pretty good but not as good as it was years ago. In the early 90s the food here was out of this world now it is just average. The servers were WONDERFUL and VERY ATTENTIVE.

Pellici's was here before I came to Stamford in 1980. In fact, it was one of only two restaurants you could eat at after 7 PM. Quite a change since then. Pellici's is a classic Italian Restaurant in the NY, CT, NJ style. Excellent pizza, well-prepared veal (properly butchered with no veins). Just the right tomato gravy. They even have a huge wooden bowl of seafood and pasta that takes an enormous appetite to finish. This is a go-to place when you need a reminder.

Made reservations, daughters birthday and event I town. Very loud environment, which is ok for us. But you will be speaking very loudly across the table! Caeser salad came out with little to no dressing, caprese with no balsamic. Food was ok, my lasagna was very dry and meatballs were even drier. My wife had chicken marsala, which I tasted was good! Much better than mine. My son had the special Corn beef plate, he said it was extremely dry and over cooked! I feel bad writing this because the staff were very nice and friendly!
