Super historic building, converted barn with lots of exposed wood beams and wrought iron. Huge space with lots of dining areas and a long dogleg bar. Upstairs has an antique shop. We had lunch at the bar. Quite good. Looking forward to going back.

Attended a private party and the food and service was very good. The private room, however, was very warm and the staff was not able to correct this issue.

We had the 3:00pm seating for brunch on Mother's Day. They charged more for this brunch than for their regular Sunday brunch and as far as I can tell the menu is the same. Mozzarella cheese was the only cheese offered for omelettes, the egg used for eggs Benedict were cold and the crab cakes were dry. By the time... More

Surprised to see so many good reviews here...suggest taking a look at Yelp for a more accurate perspective. Here is my personal experience as well: What a terrible experience on all fronts, from food poisoning to billing issues to cursing staff. I really wanted to give this place a chance despite the negative reviews, but it was honestly one of... More

We were a party of six adults, and made a reservation in advance for Saturday night. We requested a table in the back because we were eating later and knew the live band would be loud and not conducive for conversation in the front of the restaurant. We had all been to the Tavern several times before over the years,... More

The buffet brunch was very good, fresh. The service was good. Our waiter was funny & extremely attentive. However when we first got there the hostess wanted us to sit in another room-we did not want to sit there. It was very far from buffet & next to front door. My husband saw a table open in main dining room... More

The Long Ridge Tavern has been there for many years. It has a nice colonial pub atmosphere and is very casual. The food is just OK. Nothing special.

This place is classic 1950's Fairfield County dining. You may recall that "I Love Lucy" characters Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel moved up to Connecticut at some point, and you can almost see them sitting at a corner table here. Classic food, nicely prepared, in a Sturbridge Village type atmosphere. Sandwiches are particularly good, and served with very good cole... More

Visiting with family, including grandchildren, it was the perfect spot for a comfort food meal. We sat at a large round table and enjoyed the chicken wings, mussels and several different pasta dishes. I would say it was most enjoyable if not memorable. The service provided by Sadrack and his colleagues was efficient and personable.

Kids being far flung across the country, my husband and I, once again, visited Long Ridge Tavern for Thanksgiving Dinner. Service was slower than I remember, but staff were pleasant enough. We both had Vienna Schnitzel as we are not turkey lovers at all. I started with the stuffed ravioli and my husband had the squash soup. Both delicious and... More
