A proper sushi restaurant needs a sushi bar - Kotobuki has one with a very attentive sushi chef. We started with yellowtail sashimi with green onions, jalapeno and sesame seeds. Very tasty! Then came a nice assortment of sushi and rolls. The spicy tuna rolls with soy sauce rather than mayo was great. We got a great recommendation on saki... More

This was the first place I ever had sushi some 20 years ago and it's as good today as it was then. All their sushi and sashimi is excellent and fresh. The service has always been attentive. Hopefully, this restaurant will be around for many years to come. Useful tip - get there early for lunch as there's free parking... More

i went here to try the much raved about sushi. it held up. the miso soup was good enough, the gyoza were actually homemade, a rarity in most japanese restaurants, and most of the sushi was very superb-especially the unagi, kanpachi, and raw quail egg. the maki were just average. minamalist but comfortable decor, friendly waitstaff

Kotobuki has been around for years at this original spot. The owner is original and the sushi is very fresh. This place is authentically Japanese. I do not feel that the prices are too high. The quality is well worth it. Note, there is free parking in the back. You access it just past the front on your left.

The food at Kotobuki never fails to impress and the sushi and sashimi were just delightful and fresh. The staff provide excellent service.

Awful. Not much else to say. And somehow it's pretty expensive too. Not sure how this place is still in business.

Awesome sushi. While we are used to all you can eat sushi from canada we found the sushi here amazing and filling! Try the gold rolls they will not disappoint. The edamame was outstanding and the children really enjoyed the goyza dumplings so much we had to order a second plate of them. We will return without hesitation and try... More

This place used to be the best sushi for miles. Unfortunately, it is no longer the case. The service is excruciatingly slow, the cleanliness of the place is not up to par and the prices no longer reflect the quality. What a pity... Fin 2 is still the best sushi in town.

A lot of people like this restaurant, it was recommended to me when i moved to Stamford. Well the place has a lot to be desired. I went twice, both time i got sick that night - co-incidence? Highly doubt it. Also the owner is not friendly at all - for a small place he should be a bit more... More
