After having breakfast today I can say that I would drive here from Ardsley just to eat when I have time on a weekend morning. Listen, don't come here if you're a vegan or your idea of breakfast out is fresh fruit and a frittata....It's not for you, but this is how we chose to go here: Took our daughter to Stamford train station to return to college today. Looked up diners on yelp by station to eat at before the train and found this, very highly rated. Got there about 10:30, small place with small lot. Only serves breakfast and lunch. Don't come with a group, it's booths and only for 4 people to fit in them. Someone inside waved to us in the car and said to park in front on street where it said no parking. If he says it's ok, I believe him. Was not empty but had a couple of booths open so we were greeted and sat. The place looks like a throwback to the 50's in every good way, not made to look that way (like Johnny Rockets), is really from that time or maybe earlier.. Opened menu and saw prices that beat any diner weekday breakfast special. The man that told us to park inside is at the grill behind the counter (that has its original stools). Another man takes our order, very friendly. My kids both get hot chocolate. Our coffee and tea come first in standard mugs. Then the cocoa comes in a double large to go cup with whipped cream and chocolate syrup drizzled over it. It's very hot, hence the double cups to be able to hold it. It stays hot until we leave.. Food comes pretty fast, and we watch it all being made in the grill: french toast, chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and cheese omelette with home fries and toast and the he man breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, pancake and toast). Portions very adequate (have had larger portions in my life but really perfectly fine, a full meal that hungry breakfast eaters can finish and be very satisfied), tea and coffee refilled a few times, cocoa not finished because big and still hot. Guess how much bill is? Come on, guess.. $30.51! Can you believe that? With such a bargain, we can afford to be big tippers, and we were. Really everyone should be for service like this. How this place didn't have an hour wait, I don't know. It's a few minute drive from the train station. Everyone so nice there, customers and staff (which was the cook, 2 wait staff and a dishwasher in the back that I could see). Everyone wished us a nice day as we left. What else could you want? .More

We have just found this diner, we wanted a traditional American breakfast with no frills. Good service and food does exactly what it needs to do. My husband had the omelette with a side of chilli! Great fun and not over priced.

If you overcome the Parking issue, you will enjoy a Breakfast made with full attention and a great service.

At first I thought I was in the wrong place with the reviews on Yelp but sure enough I was in the right place and it is overdue for a remodel and a revamping of the menu. My waitress was new and she had to...ask the cook about every other item :( Very disappointed) Not going to return as I don't drive a truck and I'm not looking to make it a stop.More

Basic, good food, quick efficient service. Parking is available but limited. Nothing outstanding really but nothing bad either :)

We have eaten here in the past and were impressed with the food but this year it was disappointing. We were the only people in the place and it took forever to get our food. My husbands soup came after his entrée.

Hole in the wall diner. Food is good. Place looks very dated. My only real problem is they only take cash. Its 2014, people really need to invest in a credit card machine. Only come here for breakfast as I work in the area.
