This restaurant opened my eyes and taste buds to how variable and tasty vegitarian cuisine could be. I've bee an Indian/Pakistani food since 1966. I favor goat and lamb and avoided anything that didn't have a carnivores aspect. Navaratna changed that. They've brought flavor and depth to veggie eating. A must try.

I've been to this place many times over the years. The thalis, dosas, and many other dishes you don't find commonly are available. I wish the breads-papads on the thali were crisper. The flavors of the dishes are complex- you know they make it from scratch. It is a great place to enjoy vegetarian food, or authentic Indian food.

I love Indian cuisine, but never tried a vegetarian only restaurant. Frankly, I was sceptical before going to this place but have to say it is a culinary experience worth trying. The ambiance is ok, the service is good although I have to admit I sometimes have problems understanding the staff due to strong accent. The food is super tasty.... More

The food was very good. it is all vegetarian and many vegan options. They have selection from different regions in India that is not that common to find. Service was good and the price was fair. Worth visiting.

Great variety of vegetarian dishes. They make a soft dosa versus very crisp like the Delhi style but the potato filling is excellent as is the Sambar. Their Potato Bunda is world class. They serve a very competent Bhel Poori amd Mirchi Pakoda. Tables outdoors are very pleasant in the early fall.

We had lunch at Navaratna on Saturday 14th August 2016. I was taken aback as I headed for their 'restroom'. On the way there were things lying around in the narrow passageway. I also had a glimpse of their kitchen and the preparation room. Oh boy! What a sight!! I wondered, wasn't there an authority to check on such restaurants.... More

Navaratna is the only authentic vegetarian Indian restaurant in Stamford. Pros: They have good selection of both South & North Indian menu and their dishes tastes good. Cons: Sometimes you need wait longer since the dishes are freshly prepared.
