My son and I had to meet, this is the halfway point between our homes. It is a super old-time diner. Good hearty breakfasts but their signature item are their homemade donuts. The come in plain or cinnamon. They are the lightest yet tastiest donuts around. Highly recommend them.

My boyfriend had previously eaten here & wanted to take me here for breakfast. Yes, it's small inside, but it's a true diner. We both had a breakfast sampler that had your choice of 2 eggs (we both had over easy & were fried perfectly), choice of toast, home fries which chunks of herbed potatoes (very good and a decent... This is a small diner like restaurant overlooking the river. It is usually crowded and tables are very close together - so no real privacy here. It is great for breakfast or lunch. Would meet friends and sometimes have to wait for a table. It is a big weekend spot for breakfast.

What a awesome american breakfast! The place , quite small, was excellent, cozy and made us feel like in a movie, food was nice and big, so big. The staff ( south-american ladies) were so so so friendly, really lovely, hardworkers and really sweet! It was a wonderfull experience !

This is our favorite place for breakfast. Located right off the Merritt and feels miles away from downtown Stamford. I'll echo what everyone else has said about how good the donuts are. Be prepared to wait a while on the weekend and make sure to bring cash as its all they'll take. There is an ATM next door.

The food here is hit or miss but the chef salad is delicious and very large. I like the ham, egg and cheese sandwich. However, the place is so tiny you sometimes can't get seating.

The little place is ok. The food was good. Prices more like Manhattan. Accommodations .seating very tight. Seems like you are so close to everyone. Donuts are ok. Nothing to celebrate about .just because their home made.might go back.might not

Chose this place because it is the half way point for Pleasantville ,NY and Wilton, Ct. Met my daughter for Sunday breakfast. The place was packed. We got a table quickly and the service was great. We both enjoyed the French toast. I had to try the sugar donut that this p[lace is famous for and now I know why.

We had a great time. Sat at bar. The Monte Christo was super. The kids (and me!) loved the doughnuts! Greek salad was truly enjoyed as was the BLT and children's hot dog. Ample amount of French fries along with special potatoes. Lake was frozen over which was a special feeling. Right off exit 34 and easy to find. First... More
