Ordered a Wagyu burger and fried chicken sandwich through GrubHub. The food was absolutely awesome, my nephew said it was the best chicken sandwich between the East and West coast. I would honestly recommend to anyone in the area. The fries where also fantastic. Great job!!

Enjoyed the meat pie, washed down with a very nice IPA. Loads of fries and salad. Friendly staff, albeit we arrived near to kitchen closure and it was obvious our server wasn't best pleased. Nevertheless it was a good experience and would definitely go again when next in downtown Stamford.

Great Aussie Vibes

Visited for the first time last night for my ten year anniversary and couldn't have been happier with everything. The service was incredible - both the bartender and the owner came over to wish us a Happy Anniversary, and really made it feel like a special occasion. We loved the everything we ordered - - Brussel Sprouts were some of the best I've ever had - Sausage rolls to rival anything we used to get in Sydney - Lamb was excellent - Shrimp was very flavorful - and the Branzino was perfectly done and delicious. Finally, we were so happy with the extensive Australian red wine selection. Will definitely be back, and would recommend it to anyone, especially if you're looking for some high end Australian food & vibes.

Nice setting. Good service but attempted to upcharge on absolutions everything. Appetizer of dumplings excellent. Meat pie with great crust but filling uninspiring. Friday evening at 7:30 and place less than 50% full. Jazz started at 8:00 and quite nice. One and done.

A Dinner Treat

I treated my husband to a sneak away trip to Stamford and found this spot for dinner. Excellent service and the food was amazing! The chicken wings with lime were divine and Hubby enjoyed the tuna tartare. Drinks were nice and strong. Highly recommend this spot for good food and nice ambience.

We had lunch during restaurant week, and it was exceptional. Food was outstanding, fresh, great flavors, made with love. Service was impeccable, specially given, that the price for the two course lunch menu could have not even closely covered their cost. Well done, go Aussie!

I’m back in Stamford for my summer vacation, and I had to visit Flinders to eat the worlds best truffle Mac and cheese!! It tasted LOVELY!! Just like the first time I tried it. I really recommend you to try it! My friend ordered salad and she really loved it. We also had a appetizer, delicious! 10/10

Food is really good. Onion rings are awesome. Pear salad yummy. Wings are over the top. Burger is great. I’m impressed as everything is done with care and above average. I was impressed with the service. Atmosphere is great with inside and outside seating. Of the four places I tried when visiting this one I came back 3 times as it’s a notch above.

Superb experience

The loft style design and intimate setting is very reminiscent of a New York City restaurant. The service is extremely good with friendly knowledgeable staff. We loved the food. Have been there three separate times to try other items on the menu and were very pleased with everything we have ordered. Don't miss the truffle mac and cheese. Recommend - arancini balls, sausage roll, lamb steamed buns. Wagyu burger, fish and chips, lamb cavatelli. Delicious!

This is my first time ever tasting mac’n cheese. I bought the one with truffles. I can die happy now! Omg I was DELICIOUS! My friends ordered burger and salmon. I’m definitely going back for a mac’n cheese before the vacation is over!

Nice little lunch.

Went for the first of my Restaurant Week lunches. I was not disappointed. They have a nice but somewhat eclectic menu probably due to Australia being in the Pacific. Lots of Asian influence but bits of the old empire make themselves known also. The beer list is small but decent.

Good food but fish and chips portion could be a wee bit bigger

My husband and I pass by this place almost every day. Since it is Stamford's annual restaurant week we tried it for lunch. The decor was nice, we had the pre fix menu for lunch. I had the dumplings, my husband had the sweet pepper dish. I had the Fosters fish and chips, He had the Australian meat pie. The service was good waitress was nice. The reason it got 4 instead of 5 stars. when I order fish and chips. The fish was delicious. I expect a decent size fish. The fish was the size of a piece of shrimp tempura. Maybe it was the lunch for restaurant week, I felt they were skimpy on the size of the fish. I can go other places for lunch and the size of the fish were bigger. We will try this place again when it's not restaurant week. for dinner.

Pretty Bad Experience

Sat at the bar and the bartender was complaining to a friend sitting at the bar that she could “make more money, work less hours, and l be treated better”. A manager came over and she started in about a conversation with the owner that clearly left her upset She went on and on and it ruined our dinner!! I want to enjoy myself and not worry about the staff’s complaints when out to enjoy the evening. If I see her at the bar I will pass.

Busy and not enough staff

First time here was good, but second time here and probably not going back. The place was packed (good for them), but there were not enough staff to take care of the amount of people both sitting and standing and also drinking (or waiting for their drinks at the bar). The appetizers took forever and were cold when they finally got to the table. We had the chili shrimp and the chicken soy, ginger dumplings. Cold dumplings are never acceptable. Main course was also barely warm. One chicken dish - dry, one fish and chips - cold, 2 shrimp on the barbie - charred and cold. We also ordered dessert - sticky pudding that I needed a knife to cut through. Dry and ordinary. Oh, and don't bother to order the Australian sausage roll on the menu, because it is not available at this Australian restaurant. Really ??? Meat, wrapped in puff pastry and baked for 25 minutes, was not available. I felt bad for the waitress who was taking flack from quite a few tables. The Manager was not all that much help and looked to be out of his depth. There are so many good restaurants in Stamford and surrounding areas, that service and food have to be top notch. This was below par. Also, the menu was somewhat limited. To top it off, they ran out of one of only 2 side sauces they offer. How does that happen at 7:00 p.m. ??? No, not going back.
