While the quality is still excellent, the portion sizes appear to have been reduced significantly. And the service is reduced significantly also. But the prices are still way up there. Exorbitant actually. We went after the lunch rush and it took a long time for a server to arrive and an even longer time to get our check. There are better options in town.

Yes, it's lower Fairfield County, and yes, everything is getting more expensive, but this place is over the top. Overstuffed sandwiches aren't that over stuffed any more, but still delicious, with great quality. The pastrami and corned beef are excellent. Fries, etc. are extra, but they give you pickles and really good slaw.

Discovered by accident because there are Tesla chargers in the parking lot and it’s halfway between Boston and Philadelphia. As a Brooklyn native, my corned beef standard is high and I’m super pleased with theirs (ask them to slice it thin). The rest of the menu doesn’t really stand out but it’s hard to find authentic NY style corned beef and this is it. Service is efficient and pleasant and a stop at Rye Ridge is a regular part of my route.

Ordered on-line for pick up. Got home and found wrong items included and one item missing. Everything was correct on the order confirm and receipt. Too late to do anything about it once home and sitting down to dinner. Also, the dessert tasted very stale. Used to eat there often and enjoyed it. When told about the issues they were not too happy or interested in fixing anything. During the virus crisis they should be doing anything possible to please the customers so they come back. Now, may never go there again.

Conveniently located off the Merritt, we have stopped at Rye Ridge a handful of times while traveling between New England and points south. This was our first time stopping for dinner; the restaurant was nearly deserted on a Saturday evening just after 7. Same menu we've seen for lunch in the past. Generous portions - even ordering a sandwich understuffed provides enough for a meal and can save $2. A wide assortment of beverages is offered. We grabbed some chocolate covered pretzels for dessert, but could have also selected from the cakes, pies, and cupcakes in the case. Attentive service, relaxed pace, quality food, and something for everyone!

They were very understaffed for lunchtime and very slow in cleaning out table (basically smeared a wet rag over it). After some time, they took our order and after more extended time, the food eventually arrived. The matzo ball soup used to be great but now had a gray tint to the broth and was lukewarm. The sandwiches, fries and generally everything we ordered had little flavor. No thank you to those dishes of pickles that appear to have a long and sad history. The prices are absurdly high. We won't be back. I'm still waiting for my cup of coffee.

Stopped in for a basic turkey sandwich on a hard roll for a quick lunch break and was RIPPED off! I couldn't believe that they charged me $19 for a basic turkey sandwich with gross orange american cheese, a slice of tomato and lettuce. The mayo tastes sweet like it's not real mayo. I've never paid that much for a sandwich in my life and I will NEVER go here again.

Pastrami sandwich. The meat quality was mediocre, portion size was small but the price was large $14. We expected much better for the price, not a good value.

After I wrote a negative review the owner of the Rye Ridge Deli reached out to us and invited us to give it another chance. We did and the experience was much better. We kept it simple, bagel with chopped liver, potato salad and my wife had a big salad with apples and chicken. We also sampled the health salad. Everything was very tasty and I want to thank Harry for taking the time to follow up.

Recommended by the friend I was meeting for lunch. Extensive, varied menu including items that can be difficult to find such as chopped liver, and tongue. I had a tongue sandwich, one friend had matzo ball soup and the other had an omelette. We all enjoyed our meals. It's a little more expensive than other delis but the quality is excellent.

We have eaten here before. Most of the time we order deli sandwiches. I ordered a dinner salad- Portofino Salad. My husband ordered a deli sandeich- turkey pastrami and one potato pancake. He enjoyed his sandwich and we shared the potato pancake - very good. The chicken in my salad was dried out and hard on the edges. The rest of the salad was good. The manager was nice for not charging us for it. We had good service.

The whitefish said and lox are delicious. We have eaten dinner here two times and food was average. Both my Benedict and fries were undercooked

I’ve been here many times. It s a reliable place if you’re in the mood for a pastrami sandwich and chicken soup. Bright lights and Formica style tables. I wouldn’t call it fine dining but it’s the closest place for old fashioned food in Fairfield County.

Stopped here on our way up The Merritt Parkway heading to Boston. Still looking for a great lunch spot on High Ridge Road in Stamford. Thought this might be it. Everything was ok...the food, the service, the atmosphere. Still looking for that great lunch spot...

Nothing special about ambience, located in a strip center. Couldn't tell from the front whether you could eat in, but plenty of seating and seemed like many people were return guests. Definitely real NY deli with anything you could want from a deli. We decided to stop there on Easter, as an alternative to overpriced holiday menu, Chinese food or diner. Very pleasant surprise. We tried the matzo ball ( huge and light) soup, the one post meal with short ribs, soup base ( comes with dessert and coffee for $21) Also the Sampler platter, choices of 3 from Sable, Sturgeon, 2 types of lox, salmon etc with salads and a bagel. Orginally though $33 was high, but since Sable alone is $60/lb, and got 2 meals out of it-- turned out to be a value and a wonderful treat. Would recommend to anyone looking for real deli food. Good service; Just wish more of the staff understood English better. Will definitely return when in the area!
